  1. DOS2 is hard as dense, story telling-wise, as PoE. I think DOS2 is great, and a big improvement over the first one, but it's nowhere near as heavy as Pillars.
  2. > party canon party comp my brain hurts reading this just in case Boeroer missed any of them:
  3. > bullets ngggghhhhhhh
  4. Yeah I didn't mean to imply that he wasn't, looking back at my sentence I worded it stupidly I merely meant to point out that Josh would probably dislike a system where you could make Eder an assassin. I remember his presentation where he talked about Pillars 1 companion stats.
  5. I agree, every armor needs to bring something to the table otherwise why bother
  6. Knowing Sawyer its less about balance and more about tone. It would harm Josh's delicate sensibilities if we were given the option to make Eder an Assassin. Semi-joking aside, Sawyer claimed there was something which made companions having subclasses available a complex thing to do mechanically, but he didn't go into detail.
  7. Having a computer do all the work takes away from the fun
  8. Interesting that for Edér it states "no subclasses" under Fighter but not under Rogue. Has it been confirmed that he isn't able to take Rogue subclasses as well? I wrote that, if it says no subclasses it means precisely that, for Rogue or Fighter =)
  9. Right so Medium still has some value compared to Heavy (may not prevent penetration but might still prevent overpenetration) whereas Light doesn't seem to have a use, if you go Clothing you're definitely gonna get overpenetrated but you have no recovery penalty, if you go Light... you're definitely gonna get overpenetrated, and you have a penalty now. Or maybe Light still prevents overpenetration in some cases? It just seems so random and speculative.
  10. Sawyer says that he has found a use for Medium and Light armors on Veteran difficulty. If a character has a certain amount of damage mitigating/avoiding abilities, say for example the Rogue's Escape ability allows him to escape from engagement when he is surrounded, meaning that one or two times a fight he can avoid a situation where he will take damage, compared to other classes which may not be able to escape engagement or may take damage doing so. So in this case the Rogue can afford to take a bit more damage than say a wizard but less than a Fighter in full plate. Where I don't quite get it is how light armor is more appropriate for this Rogue than wearing clothing.
  11. I don't like this 'shareholder' attitude.
  12. Do we know this for certain? I know that some companions definitely do (Xoti's unique Priest and Monk subclasses, Pallegina's unique Paladin order etc.) but in the cases where no subclass has been specified (Edér for example) has it been stated that they won't be allowed to take one? Yes, Sawyer confirmed it
  13. So, do you know that/if some companions are allowed subclasses while others are not? Where does your intelligence (the fbi/cia form of the word) come from? No need for the snark mate, I got the info from Josh Sawyer who's making the game
  14. I have an image that I made with the companion subclass info. It's in the companion info thread in general discussion. Offhand I can tell you Eder gets no subclass options.
  15. You say that but the idea of a Skald is pretty bad-ass for a main character I think and it's not just a support class, the offensive invocations are pretty cool, and maybe Obsi will buff Dragon Thrashed..
  16. Thanks! Gonna use this when I play Tyranny! Yeah quite a few of those by TinySecretDoor are suitable for Tyranny
  17. I always hated Carnage anyway. I'd be really happy if they made Frenzy the built-in ability and Carnage optional.
  18. yeah i agree. but dont you think that is a bad decision? letting carnage dictate the proc chance for all weapons?? they should change how carnage works instead of making weapons useless Haven't they done exactly that with Deadfire?
  19. Ooh thanks there's some good ones there
  20. Just in case it wasn't clear I wasn't criticising you for thinking that, I was just a bit surprised that you didn't catch the turnip part Hey now, catching turnips is a tricky business. That's one dangerous vegetable.
  21. How can we remember? We're not all Americans you know These early comics never came here (Greece) and most probably not in many other places outside the US. I only learned about them recently. Also they are very old. Many here may be younger than the TV series itself
