  1. What's so funny about that? You think say a 25, 30 or 50 year old adult male having sex with a girl under the legal age is okay if it's consensual? It's called statutory rape.
  2. Disturbing stuff. Even more disturbing is she admitted she had sex twice before being raped by Polanski. That's three times she's been raped. Whether consensual or not, it's still rape. What happened to the other person(s) that had sex with her. Why the outcry over Polanski and not the one(s) before Polanski? Could you give a source for your allegation? For example, the page of the trial transcript in which the admission was made? On page 13-14. Q. Had you had sexual intercourse with anyone before March 10th? A. Yes. Q. Approximately how many times? A. Twice.
  3. WTF??? Are you serious? You're suggesting 'playing doctor in basement with a neighbour' is the same as a 13 year old girl having consensual sex with another person? WTF are you on? How many children playing doctor and nurse are having full out sex. You're suggesting playing doctor and sex are the same. And what sort of distorted view do you have? You seriously need to get a reality check. And you don't even though who she had sex with before Polanski. Even if it was consencual, What if it was an adult? That's rape. You're dismissing her previous sexual encounters as 'playing doctor with a neighbour'. So what if it was a neighbour - an adult neighbour! It seems the Prosecutors are only focusing on one rapist when there's more than one rapist at hand.

  5. I don't think 6 seasons is too long. 4 or 5 seasons (perhaps 6) is about the right amount of seasons for a TV show for me (Battlestar Galactica, 4400, Babylon 5, Farscape, Stargate Atlantis, etc). Any longer than 6 and it's way too long (24, CSI, X-Files, Stargate SG1).
  6. Without reading the book and searching the internet for clues, there's obviously three types of people . The problem is if you want to know what's going to happen you can pick up the book and read it, unlike Lost. Even if the show has been changed from the book, I think there's still going to be a lot taken from the book anyway.
  7. Looks promising. I blame the kangaroo. He was leaving the scene when the cop turned up.
  8. My . It's never been explained to me how some cats know what a toilet is used for and why they use them as a toilet. It's one of those mysteries science can't explain.
  9. I have that leather bound book as well. And my thoughts exactly with what has Frank Miller done in the last 10 years. He was on a high in the '80s. Now, there's really nothing worth mentioning in the last decade, as you've mentioned.
  10. Moved to a new house and changed ISPs. Had broadband at my previous place but three computers downloading hogged all the bandwidth. With the same computers this is my new speed. So much better.
  11. Honestly, I've only seen Eliza Dushku act once and that was in the movie Wrong Turn. When I watched the extras/interviews of the movie with Eliza... well, I thought she was a B Grade actress at best. Surprised when she starred in her own TV Series years later. It's probably why I haven't gone out my way to watch this series although I do have all the episodes. I've been too busy watching other TV shows to get to this.
  12. Wals, being English, I thought you would be more into having a scone with a nice cup of tea. Or maybe a Jaffa cake.
  13. Doesn't Nestle own about five hundred different brands now? They're like the AOL/TimeWarner of foods. Not just food. Petcare, Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics as well. You probably don't know when you're buying something, money is going to Nestle.
  14. I'm nearly halfway through Season 1 of the TV series Dark Skies. Boy, did I have a huge misconception about this series back in the 90's. This is a great show and I like how they fit in each episode with the history of America back in the 1940's, 50's, 60s, etc. Especially with JFK and RFK.
  15. I was thinking the same thing as well.
  16. ^ The guy who did the video says it was good old Stop Motion.
  17. There's already a laser on the International Space Station. Although not quite like the one below. Still would be cool to see something like this just the same.
  18. ^ You still have to wonder why NASA, the astronauts, and with the Apollo missions that they didn't declare there's water on the moon sooner. Like 30-40 years ago.
  19. You could taste the dust when you were outside. I don't suffer from asthma but a couple of work colleagues found it unbearable and the boss called a sickie. I did read a news article that a few birds died from the dust a couple of days ago, but I can't find the link. Fortunately, our cats were inside when this happened.
  20. It took India's first probe and 30 years later to find water on the Moon. So what did NASA and the astronauts do when they were on the moon 30 years ago?
  21. Superman Batman Public Enemies. It was okay, not too bad.
  22. I woke up today on . Not my video. But it sure was weird looking at it 5.30am this morning. A shame I didn't take photos along the beach. The g/f was like what's going on? Was very eerie.
  23. I was going to say Snow Crash but that's already been mentioned by someone else.
  24. Heroes is back with Season 4. Not sure if anyone is interested...
