  1. I recommend it. You watch the characters evolve (or devolve) even though you know the ending of the series, but it's the journey that's great to watch. The original Psycho was set in the present in its day and the TV series is also set in the present. But obviously the present today is a lot different to the present 50 years ago, so things that we take for granted today (mobiles phones) seem out of place compared to the original movie. I thought it was going to be set in the 1960s, but they choose the present. Maybe it was too expensive to do everything, 1960s style.
  2. Captain Phillips. Really enjoyed it. Always wondered how pirates hijack a container ship. 9/10.
  3. Game of Thrones Season 4: Fire and Ice Foreshadowing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5iS3tULXMQ&feature=youtu.be
  4. If Preacher is anything like AMC did to The Walking Dead, then they should stop now. How you could take good characters like Andrea from the comic and turn her into one of the most hated on the show takes a lot of talent. There was a lot of missed opportunities with TWD and no need to change the story so much from the comic.
  5. "Tulip O'Hare, Jesse's beer guzzling vampire ex-girlfriend..." And this show is a non-starter. You can't combine Tulip and Cassidy, not when their interactions are so important to the story. I think that's a mistake. Because on the below link, it says: http://www.slashfilm.com/preacher-development-confirmed-seth-rogen-and-evan-goldberg-scripting-pilot/ So it looks like Tulip and Cassidy are both in.
  6. One court in Victoria, Australia thinks so (in certain circumstances) http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/is-this-child-abuse-the-courts-think-so-20120711-21wdb.html
  7. Will going to Absolute Zero create a Black Hole?
  8. Been reading Battle Angel Alita Last Order, The Walking Dead and X-Files Season 10.
  9. First season was the best imo. I enjoyed Coven. Both Asylum and Coven had faults and not sure if the writers can get back to the awesomeness of Season 1.
  10. The 'II' name is just a place holder for now. There's some reasons for the 'II' name but don't want to say for now. This name I registered back in 2004 and have mostly posted in WoT which is why there's only 3 posts to my name. Posting in WoT doesn't add to your post count.
  11. No idea. What's wrong with your donkey?
  12. I had to look this up. Gravity Falls is an American animated television series produced by Disney... The series was created by Alex Hirsch a former writer for The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack and Fish Hooks. Intrigued, I looked up The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack. I'm guessing the writer is not doing something similar to his previous work on The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.
  13. I didn't learn French, but what I did learn is you can combine the movie titles and make out a Steven Seagal movie plot. Such as the example below: My giant the Glimmer Man, on deadly ground, under siege, mercenary for justice and out for justice, out of reach, above the law, marked for death, hard to kill, today you die... Clementine.
  14. I'm embarrassed to say I've seen all his movies. Every single one.
  15. NEWLYWEDS across Australia will be given a $200 voucher for marriage counselling from July 1, as part of a $20 million trial to strengthen relationships and avoid family breakdowns. http://www.news.com.au/national/queensland/federal-government-offers-newlyweds-200-voucher-to-attend-marriage-counselling/story-fnii5v6w-1226808063646 I don't know about anyone else, but I don't know if I'd laugh or be offended if I got married and the Government sent a marriage counselling voucher in the mail.
  16. That's cool. A random ship just out there, floating around. Couldn't it be towed to the Horn of Africa. Or just, you know, exploded? We were all thinking it! I was hoping more Secret of NIMH stuff. Mutant Pirate Rats driving a ship around the oceans, terrorizing unsuspecting cruise liners while everyone is asleep. Swinging from their ship by ropes, raiding, pillaging and all that pirate stuff. There's a movie in there somewhere.
  17. Nun Faces up to 30 Years for Breaking Into Weapons Complex, Embarrassing the Feds http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2014/01/nun-megan-rice-sentencing-y-12-nuclear-weapons-security And should I mention that the two accomplices were 57 and 63 yrs old. I wonder where they got the idea from? Perhaps all those movies starring elderly Hollywood stars who still think they can cut it in action movies? (Not looking at anyone called Willis.) I love this part. One of the most important facilities in the United States & security doesn't really care.
  18. That's cool. A random ship just out there, floating around.
  19. Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Damn, I really enjoyed that. The ending makes me want to go and read the third book.
  20. If you think Band of Brothers is confusing, try watching the companion piece The Pacific. From Wikipedia: Whereas Band of Brothers followed one company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment through the European Theatre, The Pacific centres on the experiences of three Marines (Eugene Sledge, Robert Leckie and John Basilone) who were all in different regiments... While The Pacific was good, Band of Brothers was better.
  21. To me the film can be summed up as Pitch Black was cool but Chronicles was a mess so let's just remake Pitch Black and we'll spend four minutes writing off Chronicles at the beginning. Not a bad Riddick film, just Pitch Black with different monsters and nowhere near the same atmosphere.
  22. Matthew McConaughey is a shoe in for the Oscar. Dicaprio will lose again.
  23. It depends on the build and rule set. I played a Trickster Rogue in 4E pnp and Strength wasn't required. I only put the minimum amount of points in Strength to hold a shield (as there was a minimum strength requirement to hold shields) and that was it. I was a melee character starting out with a dagger and finally going to a rapier before I hit paragon. Therefore I didn't need that strength modifier. However, it appears from the character sheet that Might will be a stat you will require for all classes in PoE as it affects damage.
  24. Found out today that Fox is doing a 'Firefly' with Almost Human and showing the episodes out of order. From what I could find out, these are the episodes that have aired and their correct episode number. Air date and Actual Order it should be: 1.01 Pilot (Actual episode: #1.01) 1.02 “Skin”- (Actual episode: #1.05) 1.03 “Are You Receiving” – (Actual episode: #1.06) 1.04 “The Bends” – (Actual episode: #1.07) 1.05 “Blood Brothers” – (Actual episode: #1.08) 1.06 “Arrhythmia” – (Actual episode: #1.03) 1.07 “Simon Says” – (Actual episode: #1.10) 1.08 “You Are Here” – (Actual episode: #1.02) We're still missing episodes 4 and 9. It's probably why there's no underlying story arc to be seen and why some episodes have Kennex and Dorian being best friends and other episodes they're not. However, the creator JH Wyman has said 'it's all okay' as the rest of the episodes will make sense. But I think he's just saying that to please his Masters (Fox). I've decided to not watch this until all the episodes are out and then I'll re-organise/rename them and watch it from the start in the correct order.
  25. Metal Hurlant Chronicles Only six episodes. Quite good and enjoyed watching them. Similar to the Twilight Zone with a twist at the end. Hope they do a second season.
