  1. I didn't learn French, but what I did learn is you can combine the movie titles and make out a Steven Seagal movie plot. Such as the example below: My giant the Glimmer Man, on deadly ground, under siege, mercenary for justice and out for justice, out of reach, above the law, marked for death, hard to kill, today you die... Clementine.
  2. I'm embarrassed to say I've seen all his movies. Every single one.
  3. NEWLYWEDS across Australia will be given a $200 voucher for marriage counselling from July 1, as part of a $20 million trial to strengthen relationships and avoid family breakdowns. http://www.news.com.au/national/queensland/federal-government-offers-newlyweds-200-voucher-to-attend-marriage-counselling/story-fnii5v6w-1226808063646 I don't know about anyone else, but I don't know if I'd laugh or be offended if I got married and the Government sent a marriage counselling voucher in the mail.
  4. That's cool. A random ship just out there, floating around. Couldn't it be towed to the Horn of Africa. Or just, you know, exploded? We were all thinking it! I was hoping more Secret of NIMH stuff. Mutant Pirate Rats driving a ship around the oceans, terrorizing unsuspecting cruise liners while everyone is asleep. Swinging from their ship by ropes, raiding, pillaging and all that pirate stuff. There's a movie in there somewhere.
  5. Nun Faces up to 30 Years for Breaking Into Weapons Complex, Embarrassing the Feds http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2014/01/nun-megan-rice-sentencing-y-12-nuclear-weapons-security And should I mention that the two accomplices were 57 and 63 yrs old. I wonder where they got the idea from? Perhaps all those movies starring elderly Hollywood stars who still think they can cut it in action movies? (Not looking at anyone called Willis.) I love this part. One of the most important facilities in the United States & security doesn't really care.

  7. Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Damn, I really enjoyed that. The ending makes me want to go and read the third book.
  8. If you think Band of Brothers is confusing, try watching the companion piece The Pacific. From Wikipedia: Whereas Band of Brothers followed one company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment through the European Theatre, The Pacific centres on the experiences of three Marines (Eugene Sledge, Robert Leckie and John Basilone) who were all in different regiments... While The Pacific was good, Band of Brothers was better.
  9. To me the film can be summed up as Pitch Black was cool but Chronicles was a mess so let's just remake Pitch Black and we'll spend four minutes writing off Chronicles at the beginning. Not a bad Riddick film, just Pitch Black with different monsters and nowhere near the same atmosphere.
  10. Matthew McConaughey is a shoe in for the Oscar. Dicaprio will lose again.
  11. It depends on the build and rule set. I played a Trickster Rogue in 4E pnp and Strength wasn't required. I only put the minimum amount of points in Strength to hold a shield (as there was a minimum strength requirement to hold shields) and that was it. I was a melee character starting out with a dagger and finally going to a rapier before I hit paragon. Therefore I didn't need that strength modifier. However, it appears from the character sheet that Might will be a stat you will require for all classes in PoE as it affects damage.
  12. Found out today that Fox is doing a 'Firefly' with Almost Human and showing the episodes out of order. From what I could find out, these are the episodes that have aired and their correct episode number. Air date and Actual Order it should be: 1.01 Pilot (Actual episode: #1.01) 1.02 “Skin”- (Actual episode: #1.05) 1.03 “Are You Receiving” – (Actual episode: #1.06) 1.04 “The Bends” – (Actual episode: #1.07) 1.05 “Blood Brothers” – (Actual episode: #1.08) 1.06 “Arrhythmia” – (Actual episode: #1.03) 1.07 “Simon Says” – (Actual episode: #1.10) 1.08 “You Are Here” – (Actual episode: #1.02) We're still missing episodes 4 and 9. It's probably why there's no underlying story arc to be seen and why some episodes have Kennex and Dorian being best friends and other episodes they're not. However, the creator JH Wyman has said 'it's all okay' as the rest of the episodes will make sense. But I think he's just saying that to please his Masters (Fox). I've decided to not watch this until all the episodes are out and then I'll re-organise/rename them and watch it from the start in the correct order.
  13. Metal Hurlant Chronicles Only six episodes. Quite good and enjoyed watching them. Similar to the Twilight Zone with a twist at the end. Hope they do a second season.
  14. Escape Plan. Stallone and Schwarzenegger. Great movie and pleasantly surprised. 8/10.
  15. American Horror Story Coven. Watched the first 5 episodes and this is great. Angela Bassett looks amazing for her age and Kathy Bates just nails it. Hilarious when Kathy Bates is watching TV and Obama is on. Lies!!!!
  16. Yes, and aaahhh. It was like watching a b-grade movie. Very cliché. And it feels like you've seen all this before, especially with the actors who've played parts in previous TV shows. And halfway through the episode, you could tell what was going to happen at the end of the episode. Basically: We now know what happened when Sawyer got up to after the island. Of course this is just Sawyer with a chip in his head, his attitude is the same (Holloway produces this show) Dr. Phlox from Star Trek and even some Rosalind Chao from Star Trek appears. He even comes across as Dr. Phlox from Star Trek. We also have Marg Helgenberger who kept missing out on promotions in CSI getting a promotion to another US Government Department, running the Cyber Command Division. We also find out where Red Riding Hood from Once Upon a Time went and why she hasn't been seen since in OUaT. The actress is quite good in this despite the script. But it did pretty well in the U.S. 16.6 M viewers, not bad, against ABC's Killer women that did like 2M. Even though it's very B-Grade with the story and acting, I'll keep watching it.
  17. Yep, great story. I have all the comics. This is how I watch/read Firefly and Serenity. Firefly - TV Series (2002-2003) Serenity - Those Left behind (3 issue mini-series comic) (Jul-Sep 2005) movie tie-in Serenity - Movie (2005) Serenity - Better Days (3 issue mini-series comic) (Mar-May 2008) Serenity - The Other Half (2008) (short story in Dark Horse Presents) Serenity - Float Out (1 issue comic) (Jun 2010) Serenity - The Shepherd's Tale (2010) Serenity - Downtime (Nov 2010) Serenity - Firefly Class 03-K64 (Free Comic Book Day issue) (May 2012)
  18. Been catching up on Firefly, the Serenity comic tie-in 'Those Left Behind', and Serenity movie. The comic tie-in is a must read as you find out what happens to the two guys with hands of blue and why they don't appear in the movie. Also read the comics after the movie. Also, been playing the pnp rpg Traveller for the last 8 months and I can see there's a lot of similarities. There's a rumour that Joss Whedon played this in College and based Firefly on Traveller. A lot of internet debates whether he did base it on Traveller. There's compelling (circumstantial) evidence this is the case which makes me appreciate the TV series/Movie even more.
  19. Finished the mythology episodes of all 9 seasons of the X-Files including the movies. Quite surprised how the story fits all together and flows from one episode to the next. Though, it really went downhill in Season 9. Now reading the Season 10 comic and it's quite an interesting take on the story.
  20. What outrage would that be? I haven't seen any outrage myself. More disappointment from people I've seen comment on the movie that's seen it. I've seen comments where people are wondering if the original cut might surface somewhere down the track as they'd like to see how the original cut was like. From memory Keanu had 15 minutes on-screen, now he is the main guy. Pity really, I too would like to see the original cut.
  21. I've read that Keanu isn't meant to be the major player in the movie and now won't watch this. Maybe when it eventually hits Channel BT if I have nothing else to do. It was reshot / edited so that Keanu became the main character. Previously it was supposed to be the Japanese actor as the main protaganist. Supposedly, now the movie sucks hard. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/47_ronin/ 11% used to be 0% A guy on reddit said he worked on the film, and said he saw the old cut of the movie by the producer or director. However, as mentioned above, the studio wanted Keanu as the main guy. The producer or director was fired, and the movie reshot. In doing that, the reddit guy said it became a shell of a movie.
  22. Started watching X-Files a few days ago. Haven't watched it since it finished over 10 years ago. Finished Season 5 and watching the movie. Only watching the mythology episodes and it's been great. The story just flows.
