  1. With all it's flaws I think TSL is a better game. Why, you ask? I felt more connected to the PC, I empathized with her more than I did with the PC from K1. That and the TSL has Bao-Dur!!!
  2. I prefer female for both. In K1 Carth seemed so much more Revan's equal than Bastila did, not in terms of power of course, seeing as how Carth's not Force sensitive, but in terms of their relationship. Also the dialog options while flirting with Bastila just screamed "High school!!!" And also the fact that Carth's character gets completely shafted if you play male while Bastila's doesn't when you play female just put the last nail in male Revan's coffin for me. The Exile is a little different I generally play female, but I have no real problems with male Exile as I liked the extra stuff with Atris (even though I don't really like HM all that much). However, I like the stuff with Sion when you play a female Exile, too. Both are interesting in that Atris felt betrayed by the M!Exile when the Exile chose war "over her". And Sion I think sees the Exile as having the potential to become just like him and would rather kill her then let that happen. I still voted female though. And for the record I dislike guardians period. When I played Revan as male I played a scout/sentinal and when I played M!Exile I played a Sentinal/Jedi Master. When I play female characters I play consulars however, and not because I think they fit better with the "female image" but because they're my favorite class and I since I play female characters more it stands to reason I'm going to play my favorite class while doing it.
  3. I read somewhere that Bao-Dur was originally going to be romancable, but they dropped it. I guess he just wasn't screwed up enough for it to be in the final game.
  4. There is one still in game, but the other one was cut or just doesn't trigger. Neither does his conversation with the Exile where he gives the following threat: "Don't worry about me, I won't cause any problems. But if Mandalore steps out of line, I'll put him out the airlock." I visit lots of forums and make no attempt to hide my Bao love so I've heard the joke a lot.
  5. Bao has plenty of personality, IMHO. Just get max influence with him and hear his conversation with Mandalore. Yikes! If I had a dollar for every time I heard that joke I'd be richer than J.K. Rowling. :p
  6. Yeah, unfortunately the closest thing you get is the following: Exile: Maybe it's because I stopped wearing that boring Republic uniform. Bao: I'll freely admit that your new clothing is an improvement. But that's just a pleasant distraction.
  7. I don't know. Bao's really buff, and, in my books, charming. *is a raving Bao fangirl*
  8. Heh, me too. Part of the reason for me though too, is that I think Visas (along with Bao-Dur) has more of an understanding of what exactly the Exile went through at Malachor V. Something that Mical, Brianna, and even Atton to some extent can't empathize with. *shrug* I've never really understood what's so creepy about that. Did he want to follow her path simply because it was her or because she was doing the right thing and he knew it? And if in doing the right thing she was no longer a Jedi? If that's the case then I can't really fault Mical that decision. I, personally, would not want to be part of an organization who claimed to protectors of innocents, yet condemed their own for doing just that. And like I said Mical wasn't the only one she had that effect on. Master Vrook speaks of similar things in the hologram on Dantooine and Mical himself says the entire class felt the difference between her and Master Vrook, that she had the same effect on them that she did on him. Not to mention that if the Exile says the following: "I am sorry that my leaving for war had such... consequences on your future." He replies: "Perhaps. But I still harbor doubts about the path I walked." I always took that to mean that he had doubts about being a Jedi even before the Exile went to war. And perhaps that's why he wanted her to be his master, because she assuaged those doubts? Mical, I think, suffers mostly from hero worship. She was probably the first person that really connected with him, that really reached out to him, and I imagine that it's hard to be objective towards someone that has touched you in such a way. Anyway, I'm done rambling.
  9. Was that aimed at me? If so did you notice that I said I voted for Bao-Dur and Mira. And she's very much female.
  10. From the first game Korriban is my favorite place. I love being blindingly lightside and running around such a dark place and nobody seems to notice. Heh. I like Dantooine for roleplaying purposes, but Dxun is my favorite. Mandalorians and rain effects, how good is that?
  11. I must be the only one that actually likes Disciple. I mean Bao-Dur still my man but Mical's a nice enough guy. The thing is that in some respects he's not that much different than Brianna. He idolizes the F!Exile, much like Brianna idolizes the M!Exile because he reminds her of her father. Of course the fact that she looks at the Exile as a replacement for her father I find kinda creepy. And they both fear the knowledge of the Jedi will be lost. The thing about Mical is he believes that the galaxy needs the Jedi, but he doesn't agree with all their teachings. Especially, all that crap about denying your emotions, etc. Also I only remember his saying he had feelings for the Exile like twice, once to Atton. ("I admire her, perhaps even feel for her.") and later when he says he's not there to spy on her, but rather to protect her (not that she needs it, heh.). I always felt that he respected her more for being an exceptional teacher than loved her in a romantic sense. And he wasn't the only one to feel that way: "It is difficult to explain the difference between you and Master Vrook, but I think it is because he was knowledgeable, but not a leader, not a mentor. You were different - we could all feel it." (Emphasis mine.) That said I found Atton more creepy than Mical. Don't get me wrong I like Atton, he's funny, but my PC had no romantic interest in him, as she not a possesion and she is not his.
  12. My favorite character is Bao-Dur. Period. I can't really explain why... hmm must be the horns. Of the optional characters, while I like Disciple (and Handmaiden to some extent) I like Mira better.
  13. My first playthrough I have 5 Circlets of Saresh so I passed them out among the Jedi my crew. :D Although I was kinda annoyed at have 5 copies of a unique item.
  14. I voted character development. I realized long ago that that is what I play RPG's for.
  15. I always focus on Dueling though which gives you a bonus to hit and defense when unarmed. But to each there own.
  16. The only thing a guardian has over the other classes is feats and that's it. And even at that they only get one more feat than a sentinel. In K2 BAB is exactly the same, no matter your class, so there's no real benefit for taking guardian there either. Consulars have an advantage IMHO, because they have a higher DC for there force powers, and if you can knock the Handmaiden's off the dueling pad, with Whirlwind, then they're out of the fight without having to actually fight them.
  17. You can lend Opo the money and then once you leave Telos and come back he will pay you back the 2000 credits. And you can win Rana in a pazaak game and therefore shell out no money for her, IIRC.
  18. Lightside first time and everytime after.
  19. Actually, I'm thinking it's a plot hole. Because even Master Vandar refers to it as a "hidden refuge", when it's been there since the Sith War. Exar Kun was trained there, IIRC. Any Jedi would know about the enclave on Dantooine.
  20. **shrugs shoulders** I don't care what you do. I'd just rather not see Obsidian Entertainment get into legal trouble with Microsoft, because y'all are talking about it here on their forums.
  21. Modding an Xbox is illegal in the U.S. Just FYI.
  22. When you see Atris for the first time at the Polar Academy "Force! What is this!? Sarcasm?". Not really something I wanted to say, but rather do. And that was to be able to have my F!Exile (Isan) kiss Bao-Dur full on lips. :D
