Hey Nur dont get pissed just because I use valid sources and logic, that is how an argunment is created not through the use of personal opinion. So I am going to continue believing in my valid sources (not hoaxes) while you go cry in a corner cause, as Influence so humbly put it, "You got served like a five star restaurant!" Now, when you stop crying, if you feel like actually trying to debate this then feel free, I'll be here waiting. As for Bastila....she is a Jedi Sentinel not a Guardian, further more she is a padawan, not a master, now depending on which movie you base Anakin's abilities( lets say EpIII cause that is Anakin at his best) then we know he is a Guardian cause EpII says Anakin could rival Master yoda as a swordsman, and in EpIII we know he is a Jedi Knight. Well, I personally think a Jedi Knight class Guardian would have no trouble dispatching a Jedi Padawan class Sentinel. Furthermore I dont see how Jedi would get worse....it is more logical that training would improve and so would the Jedi's power (simple evolution). This is probably a bunch of crap similar to the 7 forms.

Nur Why cant you just accept the fact that the 7 forms is complete and utter crap, there are too many inconsistancies, even in EU stuff! The only thing out of the 7 forms that has even been in EU is Vapaad and that was made for a few partially ok book/comic books. I dont mind the whole Vapaad thing but for it to be associated with the inconsistant bull crap that is the 7 forms makes it pretty much moot. As for the whole Bastila, Malak, Revan using form 2 in KotOR, first how do you even know that form 2 is 2000 years old.....the article that came out with this info never said that so what you heard must have been someones personal opinion. Next I already said BioWare based KotOR combat off of Ep1, thus they fight like in Ep1...and there was no bull crap Form 2 in Ep1. And even if you look at KotOR purely for story (EU)reasons then you would find that, using the conclusion that they used form ii, all the Jedi would be dead cause they have no way of blocking/deflecting blaster bolts. simple as that........and if you take it one step further you would probably find (through simple logic) that most likely Form II was being developed around that time( duh, right after Exar Kun)....thus it wasn't in use...so I guess that leaves ****ty form I that Bastila is using...in which case she has no chance against Anakin. If where to follow complete EU related stuff about the 7 forms all you would find is Dooku uses an old dueling form of saber combat and Mace uses Vapaad...that is it! And why cant you rationalize that the 7 forms where based off of Gillard's work????? The creators even said it was!!! That being so they are linked, so if Gillard says it is bull then it must be bull in EU. I know this is hard for you to here, but alittle research would clear everything up for you. Frankly put, if you decide not to follow the cannon sources I have already stated and instead base your conclusions off of something that is only partly EU and completely made up (although it is based off the work of someone who had no say in its creation). Lastly, have you seen any EpIII footage at all?????? If you had you wouldn't be running your mouth about how some little girl could beat Anakin (The Chosen One). And if you are going to debate me more on this then why not try using something we call "sources" to back up your opinion cause other than that you are just wasting your breath. If you notice everything I say has a valid source to back it up, even if I dont provide links I would be glad to. And hey ever heard of this thing called "logic" it helps when making a valid argument, why not try some of that too.

As long as Revan goes out in a blaze of glory, perhaps a warriors death, then I will be happy....especially if they show it in a cg cutscene with some lightsaber battles!

It would be cool if maybe T3 was a pet, then u could use him all the time without worrying whether or not to have him hold that precious part member space.

Problem is KotOR was so damn good, so the hype is just enormous for this game (I cant imagine not ever playing it).....that is one reason i want a demo so I can see if it lives up to the hype and isn't just some mod I could dl off the internet.

Since it is gonna be called Knight of the Old Republic I would expect it to be either the same time period or take place 1000 years before Ep1....when the Sith where thought to be extinct. however I wouldn't mind seeing a clone wars related timeline...those Grevous body guards are cool and I cant wait to tear them apart in the new Ep3 game that is gonna come out. Oh and PS: Traitor was the best NJO book even though the whole concept of the Yuuzhan Vong shouldn't have been put in Star Wars in the first place.

So would I, and I think I even read something saying it was possible, but they are in Bill Gate's pocket....and that isn't an easy thing to get out of.

I dont really care that much if they are in EU or not, but the problem isn't Gillard not showing them in his movies after all they where made up after Ep2 came out. The problem is the lack of sense that the 7 forms have. I mean they make very little sense at all. And Bastila does not use form 2, if you read about it you find out that it was made in response to the Sith not beforehand, either way if you actually look at the way people fight in KotOR be it in game or cg movie it doesn't look a thing like Dooku's style.....I am not saying that Form 2 isn't old and isn't created mainly for dueling, I am saying that Bastila isn't a form 2 (doesn't have a precision style) user and the 7 forms aren't a good source to look at (I believe I have proven that already). Furthermore a good explanation of where the fighting style Bastila used came from is Ep1 and 2 after all KotOR combat was based on Ep1, ask any Bioware developer that. I just hate to see poeple base there opinions off bad/uncannon info in a magazine. Nick already stated that when Windu fights in Ep3 he wont be using Vapaad, and Nick is the guy to go to because Lucas came to him and made him the authority on it when he told him to create the Jedi Fighting Style (Ep1 DVD Extras tell you that). Lucas didn't create Ep1-3's lightsaber combat, Nick did. Making him the authority on all things lightsaber combat. So since the authority didn't make that crap up then it really is just crap that floated in someones head. The best source for anything is: the game - where we see Bastila fight and: the prequel movies - where we see Anakin fight Based off those things (the most cannon sources that can be) Anakin wouldn't even fight Bastila because to fight her and beat her just for the sport of it would make him a worse fighter for doing so. He would woop her THAT badly.

Since it seems Bill Gates paid you guys to delay the PC version so he can get more XBoxs to sell and thus make more money that he gave you(again*) could the PC gamers at least get some sort of a demo that show some new features like the new lightsaber stances, new combat animations, and the wrist mounted rocket launcher? *Note: Same thing happened with KotOR 1!

I dont see much of a difference in the style/stances of the characters when compared to KotOR. There isn't much difference.

Look at it this way Nur Ab, if you follow the Seven forms then how is it Obiwan and Quigon could deflect blaster bolts back at their attackers? Supposedly they where using Form IV but Bolt deflection is Form III, V, and VI only??? That dont make no sense at all......which = uncannon. And in Ep2 Obiwan deflected several bolts back at droids yet he is suppose to be Form III master which deflects bolts but not back at the attacker, that is purely form V. Yet another incosistancy is the description of Form IV, supposed ly it is suppose to be fast and acrobatic but if Obi-Wan and Qui Gon where form IV users in Ep1 why is it they only jumped once in the entire movie???? That dont make no sense at all. Lastly how can you say "screw Nick" when he is the guy who made the choreography that they based the 7 forms off of?????? How does that make sense? 7 forms are strictly EU, and they shouldn't even be that cause of all the inconsistancies I already wrote. Simply put, the guy who created the 7 forms was high and wrote it in 2 minutes....not even thinking that maybe they should talk to the guy who INVENTED lightsaber combat for Ep1-3.

The only new force power I want to see is the ability to throw objects at people

1st off, do not use the 7 forms of lightsaber combat....after some research I found that the guy who basically created the Jedi Fighting Art, Nick Gillard, had nothing to do with its creation thus it is uncannon and EU only. In fact Nick got pissed that they made it without his concent seeing as they based it off his work. Either way Dooku was more powerful and had a crap load more experience than both Anakin and Obi-Wan thus he defeated them. Although I will say his lightsaber style does seem to be more dueling oriented(and is perhaps an older form) and thus probably gave him an advantage. And after some thought wouldn't battle meditation require at least some concentration seeing as You are still affecting peoples minds......Concentrating on that while fighting has got to have some serious penalties (lower defense)....and whose to say that it would increase her combat abilities? I never heard of her being able to use it on herself that doesn't seem logical. Note: Nick Gillard is the guy who created all the combat coreography for Episodes I-III.

I am sure this topic would make a great physics paper but Star Wars is fiction so the author(GL) never really intended it to obey the laws of physics.

What I remember is that the discussion was about having the weapon clipped on your belt and having it visible on the model and the devs said that would be way too time consuming but I suppose if it wasn't visible on the model and your character just whipped it out as blaster bolts started flying then maybe it is possilbe........heck they probably wouldn't even have to change the animations just make it so the lightsaber hilt can't be seen in your hand like it usually is. Probably it will end up as some sort of mod.

First of let me correct one thing I am hearing, apprentice=padawan, there is no difference. In Ep1, Qui-Gon called ObiWan both apprentice and padawan. Same in Ep2, Obi called Anakin both Padawan and Apprentice. There is no distinction between the two. Now KotOR wise, my guess is it is like apprentice/learner (not Jedi)then after your trials you become Padawan/ then Knight, then Master. For the Sith my guess is as good as your but I would say it something like this: Dark Jedi Sith Students Apprentice Acolyte Master However this is subjerct to interpretation cause perhaps Apprentice and acolyte can be switched. The apprentices are more like Hopefuls who want to be Malak's apprentice and learn the true ways of the Sith and not just the basics and Masters are more like peeps who just get important positions of command.

I think the thuggery/ bounty hunting made sense before you where a jedi but once you become a jedi/dark jedi/sith then you should be able to sort of act like Dooku or Sidious....heinous plans of evil and death. Complex plans that few others could comprehend except the villain! And best of all you send others to do the dirty work as you sit back and make fun of the stupidity of the good guys. I for one would like to have a Sidious like character, he isn't messed with. And not because he can kick your ass(even though he can), but because he is just that evil for coming up with such a sinister plan of slaughter and massacre....and he enjoys it! The truth is Sith dont result to thuggery because they are too bad for that, they could slaughter the masses and take there money but where is the power/control with that? A sith's one goal is to become the most powerful person ever to live, power is the only true thing of value to them...not credits...and sending other sith to do the dirty work shows there power/control over that person....and an ultimate goal of any sith is to rule the universe, that is the ultimate form of power/control.

Anakin would just play with her till she stopped amusing him then 1 swipe and she would die, simple as that. And in response to previous poster: That is how battle meditation is portraid in KotOR but what about battle meditation in KotOR II? I have seen pics of a PC using battle meditation in a small group battle so perhaps the amount of meditation/focus required is based on how big the battle is.....

Yes an expansion on the lightsaber combat would be nice, including new and more animations, and of coarse being able to add kicks and punches while using a lightsaber would be nice.
