  1. I like your idea but it would make more sense that if you stated through the chat dialog that Revan was female then maybe Kreia is Revan and if your charcter was male then maybe Bastila is Kreia, that makes tons more sense, the whole body murging thing just aint Star Wars.
  2. Dont ever talk about that blight of a game called jedi Power Battles!!! If I could ask one thing it would be that the Episode III game is nothing like Jedi Power Battles. JPB was just too damn hard: getting all the upgrades was a **bleep**, the combos where to hard to pull off, the levels where a pain in the **bleep**. and all the **bleep** jumping **bleep**ed you up. Was fun for the first level, but the rest sucked. Anyway, Nick Gillard is going to help in the production of the game and he practically invented the lightsaber combat seen in Ep1, Ep2, and Ep3! So hopefully he can set them all stright on how a lightsaber duel is suppossed to look. And hopefully the game isn't just centered around duel but also the droids you get to destroy.... If it actually is as good as Lucas Arts is boasting then hopefully they will make KotOR III an action RPG and the lightsaber combat should look just like in that game......with maybe the added ability of choosing what sort of style(Like Anakins way of fighting, Dooku-curved hilt, etc.) Anyway, dont consider this a flame. It is just that I bought Jedi Power battls expecting that it would be fun but it totally pissed me off...took me like a week to beat the 2nd level.......never even got to the level with the first Darth Maul encounter.
  3. I always thought the whole robe thing was alittle to cliche. That is why I would want a brown overcoat like the one I showed in the pic cause I dont want to just look like every other jedi.....I want to be bad ass and still be a good lightside jedi. As for the whole barbie dress up thing, I, for one, aint playing barbie dressup I am trying to see if I can make my character look as bad ass as i want. After all with the addition of robes they really wouldn't have to go too far to make what i want....all they need to do is get rid of the hood and add a collar.....plain and simple.
  4. Firstly Hey GonkRaider how do you know Darth Revan's fighting style will be shown, I just want alittle evidence to back up what u have to say, cause seeing Revans fighting style in the game sounds great! Secondly The Devs have already said that Revan him/herself wont play a huge role in the game. Although what happened to him/her probably will affect the games story when you find out. Thirdly I personally would like to see Revan play a role in the game but the chances of that happening are infintely small and it would totally stomp over the choices u made in Kotor I, for instance what if u used duel lightsabers throughout the game and he comes back with just a single saber....that doesn't sound like the Revan u made in the last game now does it?
  5. Other than the new jedi robes they will be adding, what other new clothes will they be adding? I for one would like a brown overcoat like the one kyle katarn is wearing in this pic: Overcoats are bad ass, that is why I like the Matrix. Morpheus rules!
  6. If I am not mistaken Jedi where trained to be able to blend into a crowd, so they could move about unnoticed. That is one reason why the where robes so they can conceal there identities. I personally dont care if the hood is up or down but if I was sith i could see it looking cool, and perhaps if you can get a feat that allows you to blend in to a crowd(to avoid some pesky sith troopers/hunters/assasins) then putting your hood up would be nice.
  7. Yeah, so far, the masked guy being bandon seems alot more reasonable then some of current theories. At least that isn't that big of a jump then say Bastila becoming Sith again. I personally hope this guy is one of a dozen elite sith guard or something like that and u get to kill him! That or the masked person is actually Atris (look at the lucas arts website.....sure does hint to that).
  8. Jedi Weaponsmaster! I want to slaugter Sith and Dark jedi by the hundreds!!! "FOR THE ORDER!"
  9. Saberwhip is a stupid idea, especially for this game! First it would take to damn long to implement at this point. Second it is just impossible to have a saber whip, completely and utterly impossible no matter what magic or technology or anything u have. Think about it, a whip made of energy would have absolutely no stability at all. Not to mention if you whip it around, it would proably fly off, or even better, cut your head off! Now a laser whip is different, it is simply a whip which, when a button is pushed, is covered by some sort of laser/energy whatever. But the point it that it is covereing the regualr whip thus it will act like a regular whip. Thirdly, whips are stupid. A smart jedi could just stand back and throw his lightsaber at the whip user, end of battle. And no matter what the whip couldn't block it. Fourth reason, a saberwhip would be one of those things that just goes to far. It isn't meant for star wars thus it should never be. Ex: the Yuuzhan Vong where by far the worst idea I ever heard of, it pretty much ruined star wars for me.....and lets just say the saber whip and Yuuzhan Vong are the same in that respect. Fifth and FINAL reason, even if it got in game and it acted just like a whip should and everything went right, I still dont see it blocking a lightsaber or a blaster bolt or any damn thing for that matter, it would be completely offensive and that just wouldn't work.
  10. Hey man, I agree with the better battles thing and the better clothes thing full heartedly. But hopefully there new changes will help that although I have to admit some of the new animations I saw for KotOR II looked really gay, IMHO. I mean I saw one which was a weak power attack animation and the guy just jumped up and slashed down....wasn't very dynamic after all. And the weak flurry animation was a guy swinging his lightsaber back in forth over the character and that looked wrong, just wrong. It made me want to cry. If they are gonna add crappy animations like that then just keep the old, repetative movements from the first game. Personally I would like to see several different forms of lightsaber combat. For instance, several different types of fighting with just one blade. Like Dooku and Obi-Wan they both fought differently and those are the sort of choices I want to have. But about the whole difficulty thing....I actually found some parts of that game to be quite hard like the duel with Bendak and the fight with Davek. And the puzzels in the Sith tomb where challenging too. Finally, yeah the game is kinda linear, but u cant have everything. So if it just like KOTOR was then i will be fine.
  11. THe Yuuzhan Vong where complete and utter garbage. The New Jedi Order series ruined every starwars book for me. It was by far the worst idea ever created. i think whoever thought of it should be dragged into the street and shot, so to speak. I mean I used to like Star Wars because of the stories and movies. For instance I thought the Thrawn trilogy and the Jedi Academy Trilogy where great additions to te Star Wars universe, but the Yuuzhan Vong totally destroyed my love of the stories and now all I like is the saber combat...plain and simple.
  12. I believe a dev already answered this question, if I remember correctly. The answer was NO! Sadly, it broke my heart to hear that, but oh well.
  13. Hey, a KOTOR related trilogy sounds cool to me but I never see it happening. And in my opinion Lucas is going to retire after EPIII, just make games and stuff like that afterward. Unless of coarse he can make EpIII the greatest film ever made! If not, he should try making the best game ever created.
  14. I dont care what anyone else says, I would love to be able to choose an apprentice. That would be awesome.
  15. I would love to have KOTOR II moddable but it probably wont happen due to Lucas Arts feelings about that, which i can understand. But if it was moddable I would love to be able to mod the whole she bang. And I would really like to make my own animations for the game...I am talking combat coreography!
  16. I knew the answer was "no"! My luck hath failed me again....oh well. Guess I must wait for KotOR III.............*wink*
  17. I asked for this before with KotOR on the Bioware forum. And the answer was.....maybe next game. I wanted to see combat animations for 1 v 2 and 1 v 3, and so forth, but Bioware did have a point in saying that they couldn't make animations for every situation. So I come to Obsidian who by now has already made a decision about this....probably: no. But if an dev could give me a straight answer I would appreciate it. Perhaps if Obsidian makes KotOR III.......then maybe.......just maybe.
  18. Is it me, or does the graphics look REALLY good in those videos?
  19. Recently, I have been looking at the screenshots and noticed alot of things about the combat system that seem different. Forinstance, I have seen alot of screens that show guys fighting with hand to hand combat, perhaps Obsidian may take this to the next level and make it better and more useful. Second, I have noticed that there seem to be alot of different stances for melee and lightsaber wielders, it seems as though you may be able to pick your stance which may mean you will be able to pick a specific "style" of fighting. In alot of pics there seems to be a different stance in each one. to see what I mean check out the KotOR II screens here. Pay specific attention to screens 16,17, and 18. If I am right then it seems they maybe doing alot more to the combat system than they are letting on.
  20. First off I said the Unknown Regions, not the Outer Rim. And since the Unknown Regions are uncharted space, *duh*, I figured there has to be some sort of connection. That is all. Most likely you are right and it was the Quest for the Star Forge that turned him and Malak, but something had to make them want to search for it in the first place! Revan didn't just come to the conclusion one day that he wanted to go to the sacred ruins on Dantooine and quest for some hidden super weapon, and of coarse fall to the darkside while doing that. Remember, Revan and malak's quest for the star forge began when they entered the sacred ruins(a jedi no no) on Dantooine they didnt just stumble upon one of the star maps. Anyway, I was thinking about what planets might be in the game and that might hold a key element in the storys plot. I remeber hearing that their are 7 planets in all, and 5 of them are new. The places I know of for sure are: -Telos -Dantooine -Peragus Mining Station(I know this isn't a planet but it is where the game starts) Places I think will be in the game are: -Korriban(C'mon u cant have Sith in the game without having the Sith Planet!) -Ithor(I came to this conclusion when looking at a screenshot that had some wierd hovering staion thing around a planet, which of coarse Ithor does) -Coruscant(They can't leave Coruscant out a second time, they just cant) -Some planet in the Unknown regions, probably where Revan ended up. -Yavin 4(Famous Moon, I thought this cause i remember seeing everyone on a forest like planet in one of the videos) Thats what I think what do u think?
  21. If there was something powerful enough to change Revan and Malak in the first place, then Reven at the end of KotOR, be it LS or DS, would want to destroy it cause it would be a clear threat. But I am getting ahead of myself. Possibly, something in the Unknown regions must have done something to destroy or disable Revan, be it DS or LS, and whatever fleet they must have had. And remebering what someone a few replies back said about all this possibly being a scheme that started with the mandalorian wars, I have to say that, that makes sense. I was playing KotOR 1 today and talked to Canderous, the mandalorian in your party, for the first time while on baord the Ebon Hawk. He told me how the Sith prompted the Mandalorians into attacking the Republic. So those Sith maybe the very force behind it all! However, the most probable outcome is that a month after DS reven won at the Star Forge, there was a Civil war within the Sith forces, which is common amongst Sith. Thus driving Revan away to the Unknown Regions(and thinning that big fleet he had at the end of KotOR 1 if u played the DS version). For LS revan, it is simply the Sith trying to exact their revenge. And since he didn't want his friend to get hurt he fled to the Unknown regions. But they decided to exterminate the Jedi instead. Anyway that is some more theories as to what might have happened.
  22. After playing KotOR again I noticed that the whole, how did Revan become a Sith in the first place, was never explined. It just said that After the Mandalorian wars he took his fleet into uncharted space and wasnt heard from for years. Something to consider is that they(obsidian) said(in many mag articles) that Revan, from the end of KotOR 1, left after a year of those events into the Unknown Regions, aka: Uncharted Space. Thus he must be heading back there to possibly destroy whatever made him turn to the dark side. I expect that this will probably make it so that there will be three KotOR games sticking to the trilogy theme. Anyway, since you play the "last known" jedi in KotOR 2, that must mean that their are some "unknown" jedi lying around.....maybe enough to make the ending of KotOR 2 a huge battle between Jedi and Sith(and their Dark Jedi). I personally think that would be cool. What do u think?
  23. I voted "other" cause I want to see combat look alot more cinematic, in other words, I want combat to look more like it does in the movies.
  24. I was just trying to make them feel better.
  25. Yeah some MMRPG can be powergamer games but at least you create a character that is your own! That is what someone said they wanted! Any way, I have to agree with Kefka at least they are making better animations and that should add alot more to the game.
