I r Programmer, I r very scared by 3D modelling programs... All those buttons (w00t) Me make crazy squares ARGH! It cube some say, me say many many square.

As I child I wanted to be a programmer, As a young teenager I wanted to be a programmer, as an older teenager I enjoied music, but still knew I wanted to be a programmer, at 22... I still want to be a programmer. Not everyone changes there mind.

Though programming practice is usually covered in such degree's along side the algorithm theory.

1. C++ is the industry standard. 2. Both is good, depends on your goal.

I'm 22 and I just started a degree in computer games programming. It's never too late lad.

Anything bigger would have had a crazy insurance cost. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Isn't 2004 the first year they put rubber engine mounts on the sportsters? The things that make Harley Harley are slowly fading away. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yup they did rubber mount the engine, that was due to alot of complaints to do with viberation and the damn things viberating themselves apart. Still, I can't think of a better crusier. The alternatives aren't and never will be better. Although I'd really like a nice chopper, I can't imagine riding one on british roads. Frankly considering I only work part time, and I'm a uni student... I think I've done pretty well for myself.

Well my little program worked well on alot of systems. As for the game well that makes sense now, and what you're getting at is much clearer than before. You spoke of a simple space shooter, and I assumed you meant the likes of space invaders. Asteroids is a whole other kettle of fish, I fancy making a decent paratrooper clone.

Huh I wrote a calculator from scratch in ASM in around 2 hours. It was my first ASM program. Depends on how well you plan it. That was my first shot, I could do it in about 20mins now, if that. It always depends upon what you're writing a simple space shooter can be done in a language such as BASIC very quickly, where in ASM it's gunna take you a long time. The main thing I've learnt about Programming is that it's all about planning. Plan badly and it's gunna take longer than it should.
