no, but the fact that batman has always been depicted as a big guy DOES mean he should be a big guy. Not really. He had muscles but is not always drawn as a big guy. And muscles can easily be developed in preperation for his role (See Will Smith as Ali). sure he is. batman has always been big and buff... and unlike will smith (who were at least tall to begin with,) christian bale did not bulk up for batman. if he had, Gromnir would not have noted christian bale

no, but the fact that batman has always been depicted as a big guy DOES mean he should be a big guy. besides, as 'tween a small, fast, cunning and intelligent person and a big, fast, cunning and intelligent person, we put our money on the big guy every time. there is a reason why wrestling and boxing has weight classes. HA! Good Fun!

... you do realize that they don't really exist, right? after the first movie, they released action figures... and the hammerhead guy were called hammerhead. *shrug* am not a star wars geek, but we know that d20 star wars has gots hammerhead jedi wielding lightsabres... so not all is pacifists. HA! Good Fun!
-
have watched ragging bull 'bout 25 times... 'nuff times to know that jake lamotta were a middleweight (160lbs.) HA! Good Fun!
-
would like to see a jedi guardian hammerhead. we know they ain't gonna add lots of new animations, but it would be fun to see an ithorian (sp?) do that jedi leap thing on an attack. HA! Good Fun!

so, there is no larger guys who can act? sure, acting talent is paramount, but we bet you would be less than happy if judi dench were cast as batman. why? batman is big. christian bale is small. is not major, but is still irritating. HA! Good Fun!
-
the only thing that bothers us 'bout the new batman movie is that christian bale is a scrawny little fella. http://www.empiremovies.com/gallery/batman...ns_images.shtml we know that these guys has to be skinny little twerps so they can fit in the suit, but it still bothers us just a little that batman looks like somebody our sister could dip. HA! Good Fun!

why does Gromnir lose the ability to use force whirlwind when he gains the ability to use force wave? (yeah, we know it is probably an engine limitation, but so what?) is a couple examples in game where it would be useful to be able to use the 1st or 2nd tier of a power even after you knows the 3rd. the aforementioned force whirlwind does not stun opponents. as such, it is not subject to the folks who gots immunity to mind-affecting conditions. also, we does not always wanna knock folks back. *shrug* is a minor thing. fix it. HA! Good Fun!

."My apologies. I didn't realize idiotic posting styles were supposed to be tolerated." as 'posed to idiotic posts? as soon as you get a mod tag, then we will maybe consider what you is thinking should and should not be tolerated. btw, watch out for the grammar errors. ... oh, and at least pretend to be on topic... based on what little info we got, there seems to be little to distinguish the prestige classes from the kotor 2 core classes, and as such, one cannot help but wonder what purpose they actually serve. we will have to get more details

hard feelings 'bout board posts? if it ain't fun, we don't post. however, is not like we gonna cut you any slack neither. *shrug* HA! Good Fun!

"What part of "I don't want to argue with you" do you not understand?" and yet you keep on with the pathetic sniveling. nobody is forcing you to continue responding, is they? "For no reason at all. Pure, primal emotion all the way. It's fun." great. we struck oil. finally we got somebody who admits that there ain't nothing in the trailer that would explain unbridled enthusiasm other than the gut level desire on the fan's part to be enthusiastic. so, when somebody references the trailer and says something to the effect of, "it really doesn't look any different than kotor," there ain't no real reason to argue, is there? rabid is directing comments in wrong direction. JR and others was the folks who acted offended when it were pointed out that the trailer not really show us anything markedly surprising or improved. if

YOU don't even know what you are "referring

the trailer. try to keep up with the rest of us. HA! Good Fun!

"Gromnir, Where talking about what we saw/heard IN THE TRAILER." really? we was replying to sabahattin dere who noted, "Last time I checked, the game is called: KOTOR II; so it's hardly surprising that it looks a lot like KOTOR. The 'difference' between the two games is that they have different stories. No one expects to experience hidden revelations while watching a simple trailer." so, if the trailer LOOKS like kotor, and we don't know squat 'bout story, then there ain't much reason to be hyped... other than the fact that you really want to be hyped 'bout kotor 2. add something... anything. HA! Good Fun!
-
"Last time I checked, the game is called: KOTOR II; so it's hardly surprising that it looks a lot like KOTOR...." which were kinda our point. it looks like kotor. is nothing wrong with that, but the folks that is claiming that they has seen some kinda marked improvement over kotor combat or that the trailer has erased all their doubts is... odd. we say that the trailer looks pretty much like kotor did

so will Gromnir... am just wondering what folks saw that we didn't... or what they convinced self they saw. HA! Good Fun! Why don't you read what's already been posted than.... the same 4 folks saying that the trailer were pretty and kewl is hardly illuminating. add something of value to a thread... surprise us. HA! Good Fun!

am confused. what can you tell 'bout the combat from the trailer? is a few new animations, but what does that really have to do with the combat other than new wrapping on same old package? did you see any interface enhancements? we didn't. was you able to see improved ai on behalf of your party members or from antagonists? if you did, please explain. Gromnir didn't notice the addition of a z axis or effects from elevation or cover. maybe you did. ... we already knew there were gonna be new powers in kotor 2. we knew there were gonna be new characters. we knew there were gonna be cloaks. looked like kotor. *shrug* HA! Good Fun!
-
saw the trailer. ... it looks like kotor... with cloaks. *shrug* am still anticipating the release of kotor, but am surprised by excitement based on the trailer. HA! Good Fun!

every time a new group o' folks appear, we go through same thing. go figure. wouldn't be so bad if at least one of these folks would show some imagination or style. *sigh* as to the thread and what it were 'bout 'fore the Gromnir stuff got going, it were not a "i hate prestige classes," thread at all. was simply a poster

"Your the one who can't utter a word of proper English from that deteriorating mouth of yours." anybody wanna explain to the sw geekling why the above sentence is so amusing? we purposefully post like we does. what is your excuse? son, Gromnir have been posting this way a long time. if you thinks ridiculous smileys is gonna affect a change in our posting style, you is more confused than we would think. " IIRC, prestige classes surve the purpuse of specializing one of your character's feats/skills. For me, it gives that perticular specialization a 'name', a certain identification of your character. Not entirely lack of substance IMO." is no question that prestige classes is more specialized than base d20 classes, but how does the prestige classes specialize? a character is required to follow a particular character development path, and by doing so, they is granted a special power or two when they adopt a prestige class. (this design choice sadly leads to actually less customization as two jedi masters is likely to look very similar... which were something d20 was striving to get away from.) so why on earth does you need a separate prestige class... particularly in kotor 2 where the prestige classes is simply powered up and alignment charged versions of the base classes? why not simply make those prestige powhaz available as feats (or as jedi powers in the case of kotor,) and skip the prestige class nonsense? obsidian could leave a blank field on your character record sheet and you could then type in whatever name suits your fancy. we ain't saying that choosing a prestige class gets you nothing. point is that all your choice o' a prestige class gives you, beyond what you might get from basic d20 multiclassing, is a special power and a name... which is stuff that coulda' been added to game w/o need for prestige class prerequisites. HA! Good Fun!

no. is a modern term for "putz detector." HA! Good Fun! p.s. "Yes, it's Orcish for it I think." define irony for Gromnir.
-
shh, he's stuck in a perpetual state of role-playing a half-orc. another misconception we gotta live with... thanks in part to the damned biowarians, and thanks in part to the limited 'magination o' most folks. as to having problems understanding Gromnir.... we have found over the years that this is mostly bs. few people actually have much difficulty understanding us, as is evidenced by way they likes to argue with us. people is clearly understanding what we is saying... they just not like how or what we is saying. "Back to topic. It has been stated that you can complete the game even without gaining a prestige class. " this should be no surprise as the prestige classes is simply the base classes with a couple super powers added in for kewlness. even for a crpg, kotor was not expecting much from players in terms o' tactics or cleverness... combat was pretty damned easy. the obsidians has already stated that kotor 2 will play much as did kotor, and if this is true, depriving your character of a couple extra nifty powhaz should not slow you down much. HA! Good Fun!

yeah, 'cause the shotgun spread o' inane smileys is a much better way to show you is a smart guy. btw, not everything is related to star wars... Gromnir were posting 'fore lucas came up with that jar jar crap, but no doubt this is a difficult concept for a star wars geek to be grasping. the notion that something might not be related to star wars is probably too much for you to be accepting, so if it makes you feel better, you can continue hearing jar jar in your noggin when Gromnir posts

this thread exemplifies just one of the obstacles for obsidian in trying to make kotor2. a sequel not have benefit o' being new... gotta do bigger and better. folks like the 1007 cave in kotor, and they like the kewl powhaz the special crystals gave 'em... so what does obsidian have to do, to out do kotor? when you first got a lightsabre in kotor, finding a bondar crystal was great... but by the end o' the game, such crystals only had value as a minor sales item. so what does obsidian do now that you has seen those mantle of the force, and heart of the guardian crystals? now that folks has had solari and upari combos, what will obsidian offer? obsidian has a tough task of making better 1007 w/o simply making it more powerful... 'cause as much as you folks want such stuff, getting it will ruin your game... take all the challenge out of it. HA! Good Fun!
