well, if true, this is gonna make harder to marginalize the whistleblower impressions... gonna be difficult to claim whistleblower didn't understand or had too narrow a view o' events. converse, am hopeful this does not discourage the whistleblower from testifying. HA! Good Fun!

am curious. what is it 'bout serving extended time which makes a Congressman bad, or at least worse? if is not related to money, then am having even less reason to agree with term limit concerns. voters democratic choose person they want and maybe even believe is best representative. as such, term limits necessarily limits viable candidates from being able to hold office. so gotta have good reasons for term limits. the President, as we are current seeing, is a different animal compared to legislators. the reason the doj and wh attorneys keep finding the President cannot be investigated for _______ and that he has limitless privilege is 'cause the entire authority o' the executive branch exists in one office: the President of the United States of America. taken to ridiculous extreme, an extreme held by a few scholars and william barr, the fbi has no authority to investigate the President unless the President allows, 'cause regardless o' what Congress says, fbi authority comes from the President. given the extremes to which Presidential power could theoretic be abused, am understanding why an Amendment were added to limit Presidential terms. after all, what were theoretic abusess in 1947 is very real in 2019. but legislators? ignore conspiracy theory stuff and make argument for term limits which don't contravene voter choice. perhaps think turnover is good 'cause promotes new blood and new ideas. then again, maybe the folks voting don't want new ideas and who says new ideas is necessarily good? new is not same as positive progress. perhaps corruption is the concern. long serving legislator is more or less subject to corruption? gonna have a hard time making a good argument that time in office makes more vulnerable and doing so is gonna necessarily rely on gut rather than factual basis regardless. younger and more idealistic makes less subject to corruption? hardly. junior legislators, particular house of representatives, need concern selves with getting reelected even before they get elected. the inherent vulnerability o' being junior arguable makes more subject to corruption. woulda' been harder to muscle sam nunn in the 90s or ms. nobody from nowheresville? take money complete out o' the argument and am left with kinda gut level notions that long-term service leads to complacency, indolence and corruption. the thing is, the complacent and indolence stuff is just reverse side o' the coin o' consistent, which may very well be what voters want. meanwhile, the corruption argument has never been particular strong... save insofar as money is the issue. term limits resonate. is one o' those seeming easy to communicate and easy to understand fixes which has broad appeal. heck, am personal not against term limits 'cause efforts to curb money has been an abject failure. makes sense if you can't get the money problem fixed, then at least mitigate damage by limiting terms. even so, am recognizing how term limits is inherent undemocratic and as such am needing a strong reason to support. money is such a reason, but the indolence, complacency and corruption arguments is kinda thin. other reasons? HA! Good Fun!

personal pov is term limits is kinda a backwards effort to address the money problem. campaign finance, in particular, is out of control and undermines the notion that election to Congress is public service. getting elected should not make the ghost o' robin leach shudder at the excess. HA! Good Fun!

is one reason our focus, from start, has been the whistleblower complaint itself, and white house efforts to impede communication o' the findings. should not be forgotten how the only reason why we have this story gracing front pages o' newspapers and getting so much airtime on tv news broadcasts is the ig, a trump appointee, informed Congress o' the existence o' an urgent and credible complaint after the acting dni failed to communicate findings. the trump administration tried hard to make the whistleblower complaint disappear with doj and wh counsel enlisted to help in such efforts. now that trump has released after-the-fact transcripts and the whistleblower complaint has managed to reach Congress, the wh efforts to impede and obstruct is already becoming yesterday's news? once again we get deflection, false equivalency, fake news & deeps state conspiracies while a fundamental attack on rule of law becomes a side issue. makes our brain itch. HA! Good Fun!

the scandal would be better or worse if were the President leveraged the fbi to investigate a political rival? recall how trump were screeching his conspiracy theories 'bout how obama had trump tower bugged? if were any truth to that, woulda' been a p00pstorm o' epic proportions. is also kinda difficult for the fbi to investigate overseas, if only from a practical perspective. is not the kinda thing the nsa investigates. cia? is a gap 'cause trump wants investigation o', 'mongst others, a US citizen's activities while on foreign soil. could cia be directed to investigate? reddit conspiracy mongers no doubt believe the cia is current already investigating biden... and that little swedish girl, but intelligence gained by cia would be less useful in a future election fight 'cause sources would need remain secret. given how trump has helped fabricate and embolden a fake news culture, such sources is easily dismissed. wouldn't doubt trump asked same questions as you and then pompeo and others (maybe bolton) explained why what trump were asking were either illegal or impractical... which is precise why it were trump and his personal attorney (really?) who were negotiating with a foreign power to dig up dirt on a political rival. regardless, the whistleblower complaint has now been seen by Congress and they will, in short order, get actual hard copies o' the complaint. along with the other whistleblower complaint nobody is talking 'bout, the one which accuses irs o' mishandling the President's taxes, things is gonna get lively in washington. HA! Good Fun!

congrats on the resolution. we got audited in 2011 and there were an unpleasant few months for us. understatement. the thing is, the actual audit were not bad at all and irs didn't do us shiesty neither. had a few meetings with irs guy. our accountant were present at meetings. our tax problems arose 'cause our operating losses from 2008-2010 (2011 were just as bad) on our real estate focused investments were biblical, and no doubt the irs were suspicious. irs guy had a hard time believing 'til we showed canceled checks and bills and whatnot and explained why we were seeming throwing big bags o' money into a bottomless pit for multiple years. were especial suspicious 'cause we were buying real estate (and borrowing to do so) while simultaneous getting killed by our current real estate investments. we got to keep all our losses. no penalties. in fact, doesn't look like am paying taxes again this year 'cause have kept carrying losses forward, though such will dry up after the 2019 tax year. deferred taxes every year for over 15 years. weren't the problem for us. our taxes should get simpler starting this year. should. not deferring neither. regardless, you got our condolences, but we don't have a similar hard luck irs story. HA! Good Fun!

at least maxwell lord had to suffer the scanners kinda nose bleed when he used his powers. HA! Good Fun!

*sigh* statement is manifest untrue. is more than a little evidence o' collusion. oh, and collusion and conspiracy ain't synonymous, so don't go there. if this were a corporate collusion case, then maybe you bring up synonymous, but ain't. as we have noted multiple times, the folks who understandably parrot barr summary 'o no collusion and no obstruction are making a terrible mistake. Fed Judge: ‘Difficult to Reconcile’ Mueller Report with AG Barr’s Statements knowing meeting with and encouraging a foreign power to provide dirt on a political rival is behaviours consistent with collusion, but mueller found insufficient for criminal conspiracy charge. find where in mueller report trump were cleared o' "collusion." we will wait. too many people with a lewandowski understanding o' the mueller report, a problem which we actual sympathize with as report is ponderous and dense and legal technical. no recommendation o' criminal conspiracy charges is different... and is the nightmare expressed by more than a few commentators after release o' mueller report. if trump, who mueller found to be unreliable and deceptive, were not subject to any kinda prosecution for his dealing with russia, then what happens in the future? with bar set so high for criminalization o' conspiracy, what stops a candidate from dealing with foreign powers to gain advantage over political rivals... other than conscience? as long as a candidate didn't active and repeated plan and coordinate with the foreign power, they is able to meet with and collude with russia or ukraine or whomever? is ok to let foreign power know you will meet with 'em to get dirt. is ok to meet and accept what you believe or hope is such dirt. IF accusations 'bout trump and ukraine is true, which is not the immediate relevant issue btw, then is kinda bizarre, but believable. the stuff russians got prosecuted for and mueller kept trying to warn Congress 'bout to no avail is what trump did. day after end o' mueller investigation, trump active leverages US taxpayer monies appropriated by Congress in an effort to get a foreign power to investigate a political rival? what? and same day news breaks suggesting the subject o' whistleblower is trump and relates to using money to encourage a foreign leader to pursue an investigation o' a political rival, the doj makes a bizarre claim in fed court: the President, and by necessity anybody tangential related to the President or his business and/personal activities, is not subject to criminal process for as long as the President remains in office. what? btw, not prosecute is hardly same as prove a defendant didn't do that which he/she is accused. we mentioned the ben roethlisberger situation recent in the nfl thread. da in announcing no prosecution made as clear as possible his belief ben were a bad guy who did a terrible thing... which is what mueller tried to do in his report and even during his evasive testimony. one thing mueller did make clear, which nobody wanted to listen to or focus 'pon, not even democrats, were that the trump campaign were deceptive and irresponsible in their dealings with russians, and that mueller were much concerned 'bout how candidates would deal with foreign powers in future elections. sadly, what trump no doubt learned from mueller situation is that he is functionally untouchable save by impeachment, which dem leadership has been reluctant to pursue. oh, and 'cause am getting figurative hoarse from repeating, the biden stuff and ukraine calls and all the other guesses and demands for transcripts and whatnot is all freaking side issues. there is a credible and urgent whistleblower complaint which is being withheld by the dni 'cause o' urging from somebody not in dni chain of command. how is this fact quickly becoming tangential? have heard people suggest the reason nixon left office were smoking gun evidence. that ain't history. after tapes were successful subpoenaed and made public, 'cause a President can't avoid all criminal process (duh,) only 1/3 o' americans were in favor o' continuing impeachment. reason nixon actual ended Presidency is his efforts to obstruct Congress. republicans final came to realization that nixon efforts to impede investigation and to undermine Congress were a breaking point beyond which they could not tolerate. Americans were angered by stonewalling more than they were bothered by the break-in. nixon were a far better President than trump, and more successful, but his efforts to trample the Constitution were a bridge too far for Congress. thank goodness enough republicans shook off partisan politics to do what were right for the country. HA! Good Fun!

isn't all too clear but is it that big truck owners is protesting the fact electric cars may utilize reserved fueling spots in many locations? see as undeserved environmentalist privilege or something? y'know, 'cause. that's a thing now? HA! Good Fun!

"Trump’s communications with foreign leader are part of whistleblower complaint that spurred standoff between spy chief and Congress, former officials say" actual headline. were specific stated in article the identity o' the foreign leader were unknown. coulda' been any number o' possibilities, possibilities which a few were listed. regardless, washington post clear got the basic info correct and they made clear the identity o' the leader were matter o' supposition as 'posed to fact. "It was not immediately clear which foreign leader Trump was speaking with or what he pledged to deliver, but his direct involvement in the matter has not been previously disclosed. It raises new questions about the president’s handling of sensitive information and may further strain his relationship with U.S. spy agencies." no argument. as for us screaming agreement, prove. is like your earlier claims o' imaginary support? you are quite creative at pretending a myth is fact. so, show where we "screamed in agreement" for notion trump had been in contact with putin or kim, or even support o' the post reporting on the issue o' communication with a foreign leader. from start we has been saying the real issue is fact the dni has not transmitted what ig found to be credible and urgent to Congress. all else is actual red herring material which is impossible to fully corroborate or refute at this point, in part 'cause o' the obstruction by the dni. nevertheless, you rely on what you call fake news to support trump... which would be weird but for fact is you posting. we did chastise fox news for their absence o' reporting on the issue, so perhaps you is confused... but still plain wrong. am wondering how far down rabbit hole we need chase 'fore this hits predictable ridiculous point. HA! Good Fun!

probable not, but is nevertheless not genuine anonymous. option recommended by Gromnir: 3rd party. there is a few 3rd party tip lines which will transmit your tip to the authorities. do internet search. your caller info is not saved by the tip line and tips is kinda transmitted in bulk to authorities making prohibitive to trace. when you hear on news 'bout an anonymous tip leading to arrest of _________, you would be surprised to learn how often is bad guy's lawyer having crisis o' conscience. 3rd party is the most common method for the discriminating 21st century attorney to sell out his own client. we were civil and not criminal for past decades, so weren't really an issue for us personal, but you pick up such stuff from co-workers. a number o' fed agencies have anonymous tip lines which is genuine anonymous, but the conspiracy theorists likely won't trust such. HA! Good Fun!

you were wrong. your dismissal o' the washington post article were utter missing the point, which continues. supposition 'bout trump having conversations with another world leader, which from multiple fake news sources not only seems to be true but is pretty much how you know 'bout all the biden stuff, is all the more amusing 'cause you think such is significant in spite o' fake news, does not in anyway change the fundamental problem: somebody with authority over the acting dni concerning an intelligence matter instructed the dni not to fulfill obligations under the whistleblower act. wh could clarify, but is continuing to withhold info, which is precise why skarpy is relying on fake news to rebut w/o recognizing the inherent hypocrisy o' doing so. and no, the issue don't disappear depending on trump or tapes or whatever else you wanna imagine. ig already found credible and urgent, necessitating communication to Congress. if only person who could order is trump and only trump, makes more immediate worse for trump. trump is likely the only person with authority over dni in such a case, but as acting dni, perhaps mcguire claims ignorance? regardless, the bad actor impeding lawful communication needs necessarily be somebody extreme high up in the wh administration. also, and once again, is still problem that nobody could legitimate give such an order. remains a charlie fox situation no matter how you spin. were cf as soon as time limit passed and dni did not pass along info. were omg cf when dni announces why he didn't transmit info, a situation which were accurate reported by the post at least as adam schiff describes. am not sure how many more ways you could be wrong, but additional reply posts will no doubt, beyond reason, continue to surprise us. HA! Good Fun!
-
according to adam schiff, the dni claimed he were withholding info 'cause a higher authority directed him to do do, which is why everybody jumped to conclusion trump were involved. was a security mater involving somebody overwhich dni didn't have authority and yet dni were directed not to release. how many folks could such statements apply? is why your initial dismissal o' story were making no sense. by time you complain, adam schiff had already confirmed ig actions and dni statements. this don't end as you describe unless dni also says he lied to Congress, made up whole "higher authority" claim. HA! Good Fun!

excuse double. so, based on the information you have, information from sources you earlier dismissed as worthless fake news, you have determined the IG were wrong? "WaPo article is nothing more at this point than fear mongering and story spinning speculation." so, washington post were correct... or not? you believe their assessment o' facts... or not? am thinking is a given you got less info then the IG, but you are gonna make an assessment o' IG mistake based on info you received from... fake news? not that it matters at this point whether or not IG were wrong. determination o' right or wrong comes after information is transmitted to Congress. whole point o' the IG making a determination independent is so whistleblower is protected and to minimize the influence o' those with motivation to keep information from reaching Congress. the statute is specific written so not even judicial review is possible. reason is to keep outside influences as limited as possible and to minimize chances o' whistleblower being effective criminalized for bringing information to Congress. wh and doj has no business making determinations or assessments at this stage. no excuses. even if turns out that biden is the most corrupt Presidential candidate since, well, trump, it still wouldn't change fact the executive is interfering with lawful duty to transmit info to Congress. the whole biden thing is typical wh red herring nonsense... and skarpen relying on fake news to determine IG made a mistake? HA! Good Fun!

teaching "the kids really need"? HA! Good Fun!

don't forget that the IG, a trump appointee, is the one who determined whistleblower complaint were not only "credible" but "urgent." dni passing on the info to Congress is nothing more than a ministerial step, but didn't do so. the only reason we even know 'bout any o' this is the IG informed Congress that the dni didn't pass along the whistleblower complaint and the IG findings as required by law. the biden stuff, for the moment, is immaterial. dni had a duty to communicate with Congress 'cause IG found a whistleblower complaint to be credible AND urgent. the real irony being that if IG didn't find credible and urgent, the whistleblower coulda' gone to Congress and still benefited from whistleblower protections. david copperfield makes statue o' liberty seem to disappear. trump admin is doing similar daily... and meanwhile making the Constitution disappear for reals. HA! Good Fun!

sarcasm and irony has author, by definition, saying something they don't believe. powers that be ain't suggesting we must must necessarily ignore author intent and motive, yes? suggest ultimate reason for post is childhood traumas and over strict potty training is a far different thing from assessing authorial intent. nevertheless, is this one o' those unwritten but enforceable new board rules which come up from time-to-time? should make clear, 'cause is not. were amentep being hyperbolic with psychoanalysis? if so, that also requires reader assessment and discrimination o' author's actual meaning. take too literal is a mistake. HA! Good Fun!

thought ballad were fantastic. made mention on these boards how it were some o' the best tv we had seen in awhile. am saddened to realize it were initial 'posed to be a limited series with each vignette receiving a full episode. HA! Good Fun!

and 'cause is already forgotten, this President recent tried to gaslight the nation with a freaking sharpie pen. additional, had the administration try and muzzle the scientists who embarrassed him by trying to speak truth by having head o' noaa issue a directive demanding that any and all should avoid contradicting the Presidential lies. got less than one full week o' attention. what the hell is happening?

had same feelings regarding overt self-destructive behaviour. am guessing it kinda builds drama... or something? if you see a child about to stick a fork into an electric outlet, there is drama. have an entire show o' toddlers armed with forks who is planning and positioning and announcing how they is going to jam their utensils into an electric outlet is difficult to watch. HA! Good Fun!

tell us 'bout it. 'course have been doing so since we hit mid 20s... and we got myriad health problems. chicken and egg situation for us. got pain issues and is either heavily med or lose sleep. we don't med much 'cause doesn't actual work for pain and the amounts to make us sleep is causing other problems. in a weird way am lucky we is one o' those people who don't seem to be helped by opiods otherwise we would likely be an addict. for years we took gabapentin daily and then realized only reason were habit. most o' the nerve pain stuff doesn't have a euphoric effect, but they do alter mood, at least initial. exercise definite helps us. as miserable as we feel when sleep deprived, and as hard as it is to get motivated to do so, something as simple as 45 minutes on the stationary bike will help. am told diet is important. am told this frequwnt by doctors/specialists. after a month o' trying the newest variation o' the no sugar, no caffeine, no fat, no large meals, no______ diet and no results, we invariably go back to eating whatever we want, whenever we want. tired is bad. tired and miserable 'cause am eating nothing but lentil soup, salads and chicken breasts in 7 small meals daily 'ccording to strict schedule is worse. follow a sleep schedule. follow rules 'bout how and where and when to try and sleep. follow diets and take meds and exercise. still get little sleep. had a girlfriend who tried to convince us that use marijuana while watching wizard of oz would work. her favorite movie were wizard of oz, but she had never seen to conclusion (or at least could not recall conclusion) 'cause she always watched while getting extreme high. perhaps we shoulda' given it a try, 'cause nothing else has worked so far. HA! Good Fun!
