I admit it was bit weird at first, but I think it was more to do with the camera and turning off auto orientation fixed that for me. Still, it would be nice if I could dodge left and right too and not just forward and back.
What in the world are you going on about?.....What is clearly shown on the screen...and what screen is it shown on. Care to elaborate?
The guy was wondering how to access companions equip/inventory screen. First you press F for inventory and (shock!) inventory screen pops up. On that screen you can see your companions name and the sign for Enter next to it. Press enter.
