  1. Korriban the dead Jedi Master has one, and there is one in the loot in the same room IIRC.
  2. I persevered for a while, bloody-mindedly trudged through the mushroom mini-quests that took about 8 hours of my life, kept going and going. Then I got really fed up at the pace. So I decided to go cross country. I went to all the bits of the map that looked interesting. They weren't. (There was an Archon or something up North-Northwest, type area.) All the dungeons looked the same, and had those stupid iron things that weighed more than I could carry. (Well, there was a good one up on the mid-East coast that was a bit better.) So then (about another 40 hours later) I decided to see what all the fuss was about in the middle of the island (dum dum daaaaaaaa!). First I used a leviate spell and flew over the wall closest to the start point. When I got bored with that I went to the main gate. By this stage I just wanted something to happen, so I cheated and gave myself all the glass armour. Then I went in and picked a fight. And died. And uninstalled the game.
  3. I can't determine the resolution from the stats, but it looks pretty damn good. nice piccy Is it just tv resolution, or is there an external monitor option?
  4. You start on a prison barge. You are pardoned for reasons not explained to you. After chatting to some guard types, during which you sign a registery, (character selection screen: choose race, etc) and are left to wander the streets. The most interesting part of the plot, I thought, was the super-double-secret-probation secret guild that you join whilst joining another guild (or more) for cover.
  5. And if you think HotU's ending was lame, did you do SoU? The whole last section was lame-o. The end boss (the medusa-thing) was easier to kill than the scorpion thingies in the first act.
  6. I like passive as well. I will go and play now, I think. I can hardly wait for the swom, swom, swom! Kewl! ) Yeah, I completely replaced a couple of biomod slots several times over at the end. In the original I stumbled on a way to kill Simons easily: I was carrying the box of TNT back up the sub base towards the helipad when he jumped out at me ... blew his legs off! (I was a little hurt, but I had regen so I grew some legs back and just hacked him to pieces.) I am sure that counts a an innovative and novel solution that the developers didn't envisage!
  7. A couple of the community mods have deployed these epilogues. There are much better mods out there than the OC. Try Twilight and Midnight for a very good Paladin advanture (he has re-written all the Paladin scripts to include an aura and added tithing to gain levels, for example). Much satisfaction. I remember one where you help some elves do something; there were scenes where you control a party of ten (some scouts, some fighters some support). Afterwards there are loads of them throwing a big party for you; you can talk to them, get down and dance (literally); then, when you get bored, you can attack them and get swamped twenty-to-one and pulverised with their magic and ranger skills ...
  8. I don't know what medication you're on, but can I have some?
  9. ... or slowly becoming less and less responsive and more and more intermitent ...
  10. That's brilliant! I'll recommend to ... someone ... that they help you by investing ... something ... in the effort you make. And the result should be something worth something more than some other poorer things.
  11. Or what the Dalek did in the last-but-one episode of Dr Who. How do we know that the force doesn't have some manageable physical characteristics? (I mean, it is a fantasy world, after all.) Perhaps the Force can be used to raise the ambient air temperature, in a highly localised volume of air near a bullet, to, say 10k degrees kelvin (approximately the temperature of the centre of the Sun)? And it is also possible that part of this effect would cause vacuum around the super-heated area to insulate the real world from such harsh temperatures. Or, if heat is not your thing, perhaps just a solid field of force that would ricochet the bullets; or add some sort of spin to the bullets to make them careen in safe trajectories ... Perhaps the Force is a doorway, in inter-dimensional rift that would open and swallow the bullets (look out anyone on the other side of the wormhole!)
  12. I find it depends on what I do with my day, too. Recently I have been commuting a lot: upwards of 20 hours a week. That's driving at least 3 hours a day: some of the most fun roads in the world, the M25 and M4. I found I was mentally exhausted by the end of the week. (Consider I was working at least 8 hours, plus a lunch hour, per day as well.) If I didn't spend the weekend catching up on sleep I was invariably predisposed to illness. And even working a four day week made only a minor difference. (I have also endured similar periods commuting on trains, with similar results.) Basically, I was mentally exhausted (if not physically). You really start to question the validity of the work-life balance if you are just falling asleep whenever you are not on the way to/from work or at work!
  13. According to IMDB, Jolee was voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson, and he doesn't appear to be on the credits at all for TSL. I had a great time looking at the credits and seeing where I had heard these actors before... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Anyone remotely famous? Any latex-wearers? "
  14. Yes, indeed, methinks Flatus doth protest too much ...
  15. I merely point out the heresy: I do not suffer from it.
  16. Actually blaster bolts are slower that bullets even if it was meant for the audience being able to see then. Jedi dont dodge blaster, they use the lightsaber to deflect it (one could argue about Force Powers allowing then so but there is no movie evidence). Actually thinking about it I remenber in the EU the empire uses a varient of Stormtroopers for toxic/radioactive enviroments that are issued vibrobales because blasters sometimes cannot be used in such condictions. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was discussing something with a friend about just using projectile weapons against jedi, because if they tried to stop a bullet with their lightsaber it would just superheat it and still hit the Jedi. They can stop blaster bolts because they can reflect energy, but metal it just melts. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think there is meant to be an element of "spider-sense" in the Jedi; a sort of precognition that allows them to know where the next blow / shot is coming from. (Otherwise the whole notion of reflecting LIGHT would be more than preposterous: the electro-chemical signals travelling to the brain throught the nerves of the body would not be travelling as fasat as the blaster bolt.) So, while a Jedi may not be able to stop a metal projectile, they certainly could dodge one.
  17. Have you been self-assessing whilst shampooing again?
  18. second that. i don't get that either. if you don't like it, don't buy it... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I guess it could be the knee-jerk reflex to the prospect of more trash creating even more wealth for those that don't deserve it, in the minds of the protestor. Sort of like another franchise I can think of ... "
  19. Yes you are. And Yes.
  20. Sounds more psychological than physiological, then.
  21. I disagree, quite vehemently, actually. Firstly, if you don't know how to use the language you will quickly loose all ability to communicate effectively. I expect you will say that an apostrophe is a useless piece of punctuation; or better yet, let's dispense with punctuation and grammar altogether. I know, why don't we just grunt and point? If, as a personal preference you don't want to read a post correcting someone's spelling or grammar, then don't. I do. That didn't occur to you, did it? Secondly, the imbecile was making a criticism of the spelling on the host website; it is ironic in the extreme that the poster had several syntax errors.
  22. Well, the British government is toying with the idea of banning hooded garments ("hoodies") because of the naughty boys that wear them. So I suppose the KotOR universe is the same ...
  23. There is an easy way to fix that ... "
  24. S'funny, "Rust never sleeps" is a very Jedi thing to say ...
