I write notes on top of my lecturer's notes during the lecture itself and then write them out together along with any relevant research I've done to support what I've written and what my lecturer has provided... it's long and tedious at times but it's the best way for me to remember things <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep, full marks to Launchie for this answer. Write the bits that you need to understand what's being taught: what you didn't get, what you thought was the keystone, what you thought made the entire point ... there is a whole area of psychology on pedagogical effectiveness (tell students what you are going to tell them, tell them, then tell them what you just told them), how to revise, drawing mind maps and using mneumonics to help recall facts, etc. Pick up a library book on "learning", it's very interesting and should be one of the first concepts taught to all people.

I think the questions are flawed. I am not "intuitive". That is a misnomer. I might take my own council (especially now I am older and have experienced a lot more ups and downs), but I don't "intuitively" know what is right, I still use deductive and inductive reasoning. Stupid quiz. By the way, "quiz" was a word invented by an Irish guy in the eighteenth century: he made a bet that he could introduce a new word into the language in one day, then spent the entire night writing it on every wall and prominence he could. In the morning everyone wanted to know what "quiz" meant, so it becamen synonymous with a puzzle.

What why would an aethiest dive on a grenade to save a friend ? Since it's not something I'd be inclined to do, not something I can answer. But it does happen so self sacrfice is not confined only to people who believe in god. I know many aethiests who are still humanitarians.
