  1. Buddy I was in the IT industry before you were born. And I read the specs on the monitor a month or so ago in Custom PC, and even they couldn't give it a high recommendation. Overpriced for sucker wannabe racing drivers. You swallowed a big, fat marketing pill. Only a fanboi would even consider buying that overpriced garish nightmare of a panel. Congrats! ^_^
  2. Need? No. Want? Yes. I plan to build a machine that has the ability to display 1600 x 1200 native. A card that can manipulate a screen that big, with all the anti-aliasing and anisotrophic filtering, and the new Shader Model 4 due out with DirectX 10 (apparently to be shipped with Vista) ... This X1900XTX can power two Dell 30" LCD monitors at 2560x1600 pixels. Stick that in your single 1280x800 pipe and smoke it, Xbox 360! ^_^
  3. Exactly. It is gender-neutral. The whole reason that it is illegal AND IMMORAL to have carnal relations with a minor is exactly that: they are not regarded as capable of making an informed decision for themselves. I wonder what your opinion would be if it were your child that someone your age or older were guilty of the lechery ... and let's not kid ourselves that anything like a resaonable percentage of these "events" ends happily. It is child abuse. Full stop.

  5. Depends how you define "good" and "SF" and "thriller". "
  6. Correct. Mortal Combat is a good movie NO!
  7. Iron Spider Man?! Linkie? I can't see Kirsten Dunst signing up for more films after the third (especially for a low price), which is why I think the producers will take the opportunity to kill off MJ and introduce new f-buddy for Spidey.

I like Iron Man. Mutate. Devour.
  9. Can't you see him? The big rabbit! Over six foot tall! There!?
  10. EVERYTHING is a game.
  11. There's an NwN mod in the Hall of Fame ... maybe that would be better?
  12. You knob! That is an overpriced piece of tat! You could have got an extra four inches of screen real estate for the price of that stupid badge. ++ INFLUENCE LOST ++ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yah I could have but the the screen wouldn't have looked as good as the one I got. I tried various LCD monitors, including Dell, Viewsonic and Samsung, before deciding on the Acer. Let's see your overpriced piece of **** monitor. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's ... different. I had to get the matched set of IBM kit for everything. It was a business marketing decision, nothing to do with fanboyism. Nope. :D AND it's a hybrid LCD / plasma. AND I bought it nearly three years ago. How do you justify "wouldn't have looked as good"? The big, ugly red thing you have is only attractive to bower birds wannabe F1 racers ... who drive a Nissan. I suppose you have a bunch of Ferrari caps and shirts, too. How can an bezel, however beautiful you misguidedly think it is, be better than extra screen pixels? Next PC will be a custom job, though. Only best-of-breed: Dell 24" monitor might make it, depends on the state of the market when I am ready to buy in about six months or so.
  13. No. Just don't run it again.
  14. Yeah, but the game sucks until and unless you can get the . I can never get through more than a few minutes of any new game because it is SOOOOOOOOO slow to walk everywhere. A triumph of reality of fun gameplay: Yah!
  15. Check your diary. I know it's cumbersome and loquatious, but it has a record of everything. You need to find a dude in the second town (use the Strider things, it's quicker). That dude will give you some instructions and resources.

  17. The loss leader will need to incorporate buying market share (primary motivator) so that the audience buy Sony games over the life of the platform (especially if there are cross-platform games). If Sony makes $40 on a game, then it isn't unreasonable to take a hit like $200 (five game), AS LONG AS the projected sales figures indicate overall revenue to compensate over the life of the platfrom (what is that? 5 years). I'm sure it certainly isn't their first choice, but if M$ wasn't a big, scary competitor in their rearview, then we surely wouldn't be seeing such a great deal from a company so large and able to do it in the first place.
  18. It is if you want Portable gaming; Also: Black Mesa Source, home site. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly, you've just fortified my point. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> NOES! I have shown you the light!
  19. It depends what you want from a film, a thought-provoking film with a challenging undercurrent of tight philosophical grit told using a genuinely new cinematographic technique that was the resut of two people's combined mind-dump of their entire maturation, or an occidental kung-fu action film with Gucci costumes. But I will defend your right to have a different opinion, regardless of how wrong it is!
  20. SgtSniper will be first up against the wall when the revolution comes ...!
  21. Ah, it was your poor use of the third person reflexive pronoun which confused me; you meant to say:
  22. Well they are legendary. Also I highly recommend Pink Floyd Another Brick in the Wall, directed by Alan Parker.
