Home theatre: all the reviews I have read say that the Creative X-Fi is best, it actually up-mixes to 5.1 192kHz from stereo. It is very good for headphones, especially, making normal stereo sets ACCURATE 5.1 (3D soundscape object placement). It's expensive, though, and not many games are written with OpenAL extensions (yet) and take advantage of the 130 voice capability (Battlefield 2 being one notable exeception), so the X-RAM seems a bit uneconomic. Could be because kids are wired up from very young ages. Multitasking's a must - chatting/sms'ing, fiddling with playlists, having several browser tabs open on different subjects etc. Bad news is young adults find it harder to focus but they're tech savvy, search/manipulate information well and of course multitasking's second nature. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually there is solid evidence that poor diet creates and exacerbates illnesses like ADD. The pancreas has a tough time balancing the blood glucose levels in people with diets containing high concentration of sugar. Loads of insulin required whilst the sugar from calorific-dense food in readily absorbed, and after this is consumed by the cells of the body, e.g. muscles and brain (which takes about 90% of the body's nutritional and h- Sci-Fi Shows
Blake's Seven is great, but bear in mind the series finished before I was in long pants; it and Red Dwarf are both solid British SF, so don't expect advanced effects like colour overlay (!!): just whatever was hanging around the BBC props department and could be captured on video (cf. film) footage. (Red Dwarf later series are as formulaic as the later episodes of Friends, though, so I would recommend the earlier ones. Also the book is pretty good.)- I hate the fantasy genre
