Llyranor wins. You might want to read the other fifteen comments, rather than cherry-pick a single emoticon to comment on.

BREAKING NEWS: NEW BATCH OF NWN2 SCREENIES
Even a broken clock is right twice a day. I think you are now guilty of reductio ad absurdam. Queueing actions for several members of a group allows for me to focus on each character in turn, set their actions, then watch them all work in concert. I think you are confusing KotOR: TSL which had easy combat, with combat using queues. The two are not necessarily interchangeable.

BREAKING NEWS: NEW BATCH OF NWN2 SCREENIES
Yes, because generals don't participate in the battles that they command. Not sure how long your command queues are, but generally the next move or two is all I need / want. I can't see that translating into minutes. Then again, Wizzardry 8 contained the most boring combat I have had to endure in many, many years. Like in Rome: Total War, you mean? Yep, helps to focus on the strategic battleplan, rather than the minuti

"We should turn Iraq/Iran into a parking lot"
Maybe they were trying to help the respondents, by giving them a tv geography question? "

Cheering yourself up
Do you have to pay stupid amounts for road tax / whatever it's called and insurance?

"We should turn Iraq/Iran into a parking lot"
That's a difficult question, because there is (at least) three CSI shows now: New York, Miami and Las Vegas. I rest on your rested briefs.

The British guy Jenson Button has a good chance, now that Schumacher doesn't win everything.

"We should turn Iraq/Iran into a parking lot"
I'm guessing that those aged 18-24 show as much interest in broadcast news as my 19-year-old daughter: i.e. none. Unless they accidentally overhear it before they can switch the pop radio channel to some other inane warbling teenager with a drum machine to help with yet-another cover of some old music. This represents the worst type of media-science: flawed reasoning trying to lamely prop up a pre-determined conclusion. I wonder who the 500 people were that were surveyed ... and what the variance was ... No, just experimentor expectations. The interviewers and reporters expect to find ignorance regarding world geography (as that is their beliefs), and so they look for situations where the circumstances are less than conducive to book-learnin'. They ignore or degrade results contrary to their expections, and instead focus and report on the results that support their hypothesis. Happens quite often; remember, good news doesn't sell or make headlines. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep, that's called confirmation bias.

Who wants a UNITED north america?
Indeedy. It has quite a sordid history with me: I saw it in a bookshop aaaaaaaaaages ago, and then I couldn't find it, and I couldn't remember what it was called (as it is just titled with the date); I was bleating about it here on the forums months ago. Then, as I always do, I was checking yet another bookshop, on the off-chance that I might find it in the history section, and there it was! ISBN 0-7126-9418-8 I also couldn't help myself and bought this book, as well: (w00t)

If USA & Canada gave the land back to the Indians-
A technique has been trialled in Australia where certain Aboriginal cultures (from the latin: ab originale = from the beginning) are given back some land (preferrably their ancestral patch, if possible: not easy for those from Umby Gumby, as there is a wacking great city on top of it, called the Gold Coast). Then the people are allowed to make it into a commercial enterprise: whether that is farming Tea Tree essential oils, or renting back the structures that have since been built on the land. Likewise, it is fanciful to pretend that hundreds of millions of people are going to emigrate; more likely there will be a large punitive pecuniary compromise (such as the one postulated between the descendents of Africans and the state, which was a couple of trillion dollars last time I checked).

NWN2 Videos!
Well, Mike Tyson would technically be assaulting a member of the public with a deadly weapon if he only used his bare hands: it depends on the context.

NWN2 Videos!
Land of the free and home of the brave, eh? You can always adapt the NwN2 toolset to make a new setting: if it can handle fantasy, it can handle space opera. ... You might need to take a little while to create some new monsters, though ... ... But you could help yourself and the industry by employing someone like ... Kaftan! ... to build some new monsters for you! (w00t)
