  1. So is anyone starting a module? Or is it just tinkering so far that fills your days? Is there a meeting place for modders to get together?
  2. Hey, my monk had no problem playing them after the Dwarf! :D It was because the community had added some Dwarven sub-races, yet there were no Elven races ... and I had a hankering to play a Dwarf at the time ... "
  3. Thankfully, Volo, the developers sided with the rest of humanity and decided that on balance it wasn't as much fun as their alternative.
  4. Hugs copy of original Tombraider for PSone. :D
  5. Yes, all those people sending their copies back to Atari support your (very reasonalbe and reasoned) views ..! /sarcasm
  6. I like to buy a token item to get change for a large note ... I know a friend of mine who used to get embarassed by his father's antics: he used to go into McDonalds and have them make change for $100 note. )
  7. Secret ploy for work politics ascendency number 37: arrive earlier than the boss / other co-workers. Then one can see the others arrive, usually harried, and they see only a composed and already working person ... immediate psychological win. Also good to stay later than others, because then one is seen as always working (earlier and later). doesn't take long for them to break down and cry and admit their inferiority.
  8. I think we have arrived at the moment where this topic retires into genteel obscurity.
  9. Cool. Linkie not workie.

I trust this has helped you solve your poorly worded request for help.
  11. Hear that? That's the sound of self-aggrandizing delusions shattering ...
  12. Yes, that's right, you are the only sane person and all your complaints are perfectly rational and inexcusable: everyone who dares to have a differing opinion is a blind fanboy.
  13. It would be a configuration setting, so it must be accessible in the console.
  14. Maybe, but those aren't from Stefan PS: Hunt Through the Dark has 6 episodes, and you say its short? And I had no bugs in it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, 6 45 minute - 1 hour episodes, though the later ones got better. Most of the bugs I had were in the last couple chapters. Like when I save the adventuring party, they talk to me we have a good chat then BAM, they all go agressive. I kill them all, go to the Inn, and they're all sitting at a table, and BAM all go agressive. There were a few broken quests and dialogue trees too. All in all a lot of fun though. And right, I didn't pay attention to the thread description, just the title. My bad. Never played any of Stefan's. Had most of them downloaded, but never got around to playing them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I had some problems, too ... I was playing a Dwarven something (not a good idea in the underdark. I blame Volo for making me want to experiment with dwarfs ...) It was a long time ago, though, I'm sure it has been cleaned up by now. I played through the first one with a higher level character, too, which was interesting to see the political machinations of the various NPCs ...
  15. Silly Diamond, that isn't the name of my character, that is the name of someone about whom Deekin is talking.
  16. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The economic re-depolyment aspects of Capitalism in action! Those homeless proletariat have found a way to cash their efforts. Bravo!
  17. I think we can supplant this into Skeeter's Junkyard and close it. :D
  18. You see, all it looks like this decision has resulted in is eliminating the tedious journey back to the temple. And if someone gets gibbed (permanently killed), for most players it simply means it's time to reload. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It might be "more realistic" (sic, because the notion of magically reviving someone that has been run-through with a sword with a few chants of archaic poetry is realistic) to have to decamp and visit a temple for healing and resurecting, but is it any fun? Yep, step up "tr00 h4rdc0r3" gamers who demand permadeath, and anyone else is not allowed to play the games as they don't appreciate them! Sure resting is overpowered, but I must admit it is much more fun to play a mage where the PC actually spends most of their time casting spells rather than running about screaming "Help!". FWIIW I don't rest much at all with a non-magic character (like a Paladin or Monk) because they have permanent spell-like abilities. I wouldn't be surprised if this conversation turned into one about which character class was overpowered and those people who play them nothing better than cheaters ... after all, a tr00 gamer would only play a basic class like a fighter, and eschew all advanced feats like improved criticals, as they are just for the casual gamers. /sardonicisms
  19. Hee hee, The Deeks has high LORE: Also, I hope everyone is keeping their game patched:
  20. NwN2 was written by Obsidian after they wrote KotOR:TSL, so there are some similarities to be found there. The KotOR game is a restricted set of classes that can be equated to D&D (d20), but they are different engines. LucasArts, who own the rights to all things Star Wars, including the KotOR games, does not encourage people to make their own adventures with their IP (at least up until now). End of conversation. People who are on the borderline of trolling should reconsider their posting before it earns them a warning.
  21. Yeah, I'm using my three-year-old Pentium M 1700MHz, 1GB RAM and 128MB ATi Mobile T2 (which is a version of the 9600) and I can play it at my external LCD monitor's resolution of 800x600 with no difficulty.
  22. Ok Nividia Fanboy. You must be on the mailing list. The 8800 is not twice as fast as the fastest ati card out. While the 8800 is fast, its not even close to twice as fast. Clicky!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's good to hear. I agree 100% ... the problem now is that the (older!) cards don't power higher resolutions at all well enough, and the new 8800 isn't tried on DX10 ... also the ATi I have read is a better design (actually has unified shaders). Though by the time any DX10-compatible games are released, we'll be a couple of card generations along from here.
  23. It'll be the new Unreal Engine that kick starts PhysX, if anything does.
