  1. Shazzam! ... Merged.
  2. Well, it worked before and since, so I guess it is fixed ... most of the time.
  3. I think Purgatorio is an Aussie... and possibly an evil language fascist!! Like metadigital!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But ... I like Australian slang! You drongo!
  4. Yah! (w00t) Good idea.
  5. I had a couple last night, replaying the Very annoying until it worked third time.
  6. No. That's the point of Hardcore.
  7. I do not want to change where My Document folder is at. I like it where it is at. It has all my important must keep files in it. It is a place for DOCUMENTS that I am using and working on. That means Word files, PDFs, and notepad text files only. Game files do not belong in the Document folder because they are not documents they are game files game files belong on my game drive. That is why I have a game drive. My Documents is for documents. Game drive is for games. How hard of a concept is this?!?!? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Without dragging the thread off-topic even more, this is a problem you are having with the OS. It is Microsoft's decision to: improve the woeful security of their OS by adhering to industry-standard ownership rules call the user's "home" area "My Documents", which is the root of your issue. You might be able to make the "Neverwinter Nights 2" folder in the My Documents into a link to the actual folder (and move the folder to your game folder). Haven't tried it, but it should work.
  8. You must be almost finished the tutorial by now, then. "
  9. SubBassman made an enormous CEP module (Tortured Hearts) for NwN
  10. I think you should get reasonable fps (I guess around 20-25) with everything disabled. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can disable everything and run on minimum resolution and get 2.2 FPS in dungeons instead of 2. In outdoor areas, I can get about 4.5 FPS at maximum settings, lowering everything to the minimum increases my FPS to 5. In Neverwinter I get 1.5 FPS no matter what the settings are. When I tested the settings individually, none of them made any difference at all, the only setting that had any impact on my FPS was the resolution. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have a Thinkpad T41p: Pentium M 1700MHz ATi Radeon Mobility T2 128MB (based on the 9600) 1GB RAM and I have settings on medium and I get FPS in the teens minimum. Also, how are you measuring FPS in decimal places?
  11. Turn off the AVG. You don't need it running in the background, unless you are downloading suspicious files. If you are still concerned, disconnect from the internet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have been ever since it started screwing with me. I just sometimes forget about it if the computer has been restarted and it's popped back up without my noticing. :"> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just to emphisise the point: I was having inordinate problems, not just NwN2, but even Deus Ex was refusing to run, not to mention my printer drivers were generating these ubiquitous Dr Watson message boxes telling me that Windows really wanted to know about the faults (sometimes in the dozens). I uninstalled the AV (and then the Anti-Hacker) and all problems solved. Now I am just deciding if I should sue for dental recompense after gnashing my teeth for so long ... You can change where Windows puts the My Documents folder.
  12. Don't the ambushers in Ember come out through those doors? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Spot on. Also, someone made a comment (can't find it now: my eyes are unable to focus after hours of NwN2-play ) about all the merchants being outside. Thank Ao they are! Try doing the bit at the end of Act I, beginning of Act II: You'll agree that the less the party has to move between internal-external and map zones, the better. Much better. Remember, realism is only important if it's FUN. I don't want to be allocating mouse-clicks to cut my PC's toe nails.
  13. Hee hee, currently playing my first one again (after abandoning it to play my second and third playthroughs); that's an Aasimar Paladin, a sun-Elf Wizard/Eldrich Knight and a Tiefling Warlock. :D
  14. All the info for the monster races should be in there. It should just be a matter of making them selectable. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The reason that I ask is that it would make it possible, considering custom monster creations, to build any world in one's imagination ...
  15. That would be telling.
  16. It's sad that I enjoyed the phrase "blunt force trauma".
  17. Turn off the AVG. You don't need it running in the background, unless you are downloading suspicious files. If you are still concerned, disconnect from the internet.
  18. That's what I just said.
  19. Yeah, my friend is running a Dell XPS E6600 (or maybe E6700) with a puny nVidia 7600GS (I think) on one 30" Dell monitor whilst he plays poker on another ... with no problems at all.
  20. Not now that you remember her! AoTSB
  21. But the overhead camera is the same, isn't it? If not it is intuitive enough to not matter, because I had no learning curve whatsoever ... unless I am just a superstar, of course ...
  22. Oooo ... what classes? )
  23. Excellent, so this topic is fulfilled.
  24. Any word on making custom races ... e.g. playable monsters?
