  1. I was hoping that the higher tiers 160$ or above would get a backer only collectors box...
  2. As a backer I want to be able to get ALL possible items in the game. It should not be the case that someone who pre-orders the game gets an item that I could not get as a backer. I think it is enough to grant a sales discount to pre-sales customers. A special item - if it does not make any sense will not move people to pre-order the game imho.
  3. A lot of questions this time: The new trailer was very convincing. I really liked it much. I watched the gaming session with Josh and this other guy and really liked what I saw. This seemed to be a more advanced version than the actual backer build 333? It made me feel that backing this game was the right thing. I am really curious about the things to come. I hope this will speed up the pre-sale. Will the pre-sale money get into the pollishing of the game? Has the Kickstarter money already been consumed by development? Will we get the numbers of sold copies via Steam and GOG? As I of course want PoE to be a great game I hope pre-sale works well. I guess the next beta build will be the last one for this year?
  4. I suppose if you send him the message he will tell you it's back ordered but he would be happy to take your money and deliver it as soon as he gets it "back in stock" eBay seems to have mostly been taken over by arbitragers. Is it even possible to get a good deal there anymore? A lot of the cRPGs I own are from eBay. But it is true: you have to absolutely be sure and - in a lot of cases - ask additional questions about the games you want to buy, especially if you want to get a game in near mint condition or a game that maybe contains something like the old Ultimas with all the goodies included like a cloth map, an ankh or what ever. Sometimes it is hard not get betrayed or feel like you got betryed. Sometime you still can get a good deal there or it is the only chance to buy 10 -30 years old video games. Regarding PoE in this auction: I will ask him about the delivery of this game and will post his answer here... just for fun.
  5. Hi, I am from Germany but I never have had the idea to look for PoE in ebay. As a cRPG collector I am at least twice a week browsing through the offered cRPGs to complete my collection. This seller promises a delivery date by end of October... Quote: PC Spiel Pillars of Eternity neu Bitte kurze Nachricht vor Kauf, dass ich Ihn sagen kann ob das Spiel vorrätig ist. End of quote This means this guy is selling 30 brand new copies of PoE. Before you buy - please send me a short message, so I can tell you if the game is on stock. Afterwards is a lot of text explaining what kind of game PoE is and the similiarity to the IE games. If you buy two copies you will get a poster of your choice he promises. Really strange....
  6. Thanks for this new build. A lot of changes seem to be to abilities and so on. Let's see how the new run looks and feels. Thanks for your hard work so far.
  7. Everything complete please (physical goods and stable game). For the best user and collector experience.
  8. I hope this coming new build will have bigger improvements. Update once a week or at least every ten days would be cool. Thanks for the update.
  9. Hi everybody out there! Quite interesting to see how old are you and what games you played first.... I am 38. (OMG!). My first computer game I played with my grand pa and my uncle back in 1982 when I was round about seven years old. It was a kind of role playing game called "Sword of Fargoal" on the VIC 20. Shortly afterwards I got a C64 with disk drive and tape. The first games I played were Motor Mania, Burger Time and Kaiser ( a German kind of economy and war game) and of course Archon. My first cRPG (except Sword of Fargoal and Sword of Kadash) was The Bards Tale I on the Amiga 500. Maybe I will post a photo of my cRPG collection....
  10. More beta keys - more money for PoE, maybe more feedback from the beta testers. Maybe it was not such a good idea to make the beta keys sort of expensive. Regarding the "Cipher Wheel" - can anyone explain me what this is? I just can't imagine what that shall be. Is it a kind of copy protection wheel?
  11. Cypher wheels ? What should that be? I have never heard of such a wheel. Do you remember a game that contained such a wheel? I only remember some games with a wheel that worked as a copy protection.
  12. Cool, is there anybody who wants to / can start a poll for or against the notepad? (Off topic: @PeterB67: It seems I have spotted another cRPG collector for all those games of old. An "Obsidian stone..." this seems to be from Ultima VI... ).
  13. One word to the combat mode: This is obviously a major issue. As fighting/combat is one of the major activity / task in order to complete the game, this should be solved in a very convincing way. So everybody has got a lot of fun while fighting the monsters. Please do not make the same mistake as inXile did with Wasteland 2 with this very repetitive and sometimes kind of boring combat system. Thanks for considering this.
  14. Regarding the notepad: As I am collecting cRPGs this paper notepad is a collectors item and for this has to remain unused. There is no benefit for the collector from this. (I own a lot of so called collector editions and game boxes with all goodies from the past rd. about 30 years ago or so). Please drop the notepad idea and include a 20-sided die instead. This die can be used without being "consumed" or being used up. Why not make a poll out of this? Let the backers decide what to include instead of the dvd. Of course the new itemt has to be cost neutral. For me I don't like the notepad and would like a die or a small pcket for dies for pen and paper rpgs or even the blu ray or dvd with the (not complete) making of. What do you think?
  15. Quite interesting if a new beta build every 3 or even 4 weeks will be enough - regarding the big number of bugs and issues AND revamp of stats or what ever... one in October, maybe one in November and because of the hollidays none in December I guess.
  16. I don't know if it is the same kind of bug: Every "magnifying spot" - these spots where you can gain further information or detailed description of something to gain more atmosphere- do not have a German translation. There is no text showing up. Please do not forget this. Even if this is not the right place to mention this bug. Thanks.
  17. Regarding the localization in German language in WL2: this is a mess. German playtesters from major magazines both paper and on-line suggest to play this game in English. But not everyone outside the english speaking world is able to play a game like WL2 with tons of text in English. Not to mention that in Germany/Austria/Switzerland/Belgium/Luxembourg rd. about 100 million people speak German. As I did already before I just again want to point out that German translation / localization has to be really good as Germany is the biggest market for cRPGS outside USA and UK. (I would like to know how many backers of PoE are located in Germany). As far as I could see in the PoE beta the transaltion seems to be quite good. So Obsidian, please do not make the mistake to underestimate this point.
  18. Hi Obsidian! Thanks for this good decision. The delay seems to be very important. If you can fund this, please delay until June/July of 2015. So Dragon Age 3 and The Witcher 3 is out already. I realy want you to polish this game until it is flawless. And please take a look at the German translation. I think after English, German is the second important language. And the second important game market to sell your game. A few days ago the german press, the most important games magazines tested Wasteland 2 and it has gotten 72% (PCGames) and 81% from Gamestar. In Germany a good game has to get 85% or at least 83%. http://www.gamestar.de/spiele/wasteland-2/wertung/47852.html The main reason for getting a not so high percentage rating was the boring combat mode and a realy bad and buggy translation into German. Some say it is unplayable in German. So please take a look at the ratings of testers of Wasteland 2 and PLEASE do not make the same mistakes as InXile. (Don't get me wrong: Wasteland 2 is a good game, but it could be much better with a little more polish and better quality work). I realy want PoE to be a great game as I could imagine that it could be the first game of a series. Hopefully. Now it is up to you, Obsidian!
  19. What did you expect for round about 4 million USD? Maybe you should try out a The Witcher I or II or Dragon Age. They spent 20 or 30 times as much money to develop their games. Obviously this is a game not designed for the main stream. Even if it had rd. about 80.000 backers. When you think that this game is rotten, this is the wrong place for you.
  20. OK, this seems to be a big list of fixed bugs and improvements! Let's see how things keep going... Thanks for this new build! Seems to be a lot of work in it ...
  21. This sounds great! After all those waiting days this sounds like a big improvement. Especially new / changed UI is interesting. And better AI in combat. One of the bigger issues I guess. I am really curious about the new build. Thanks for the update.
  22. I am quite sure they will delay the game to beginning of next year. I would appeciate a little bit more comunication when (roughly) the next beta build will reach the backers. Here in Germany the Ranger Edition of Wasteland 2 has been shipped and first impression is really nice. So for folks who are a little bit bored this could be an alternative while waiting for things going on...
  23. Waiting for a new build... but nothing... I can't help but feeling bored a little bit... Maybe I should give Wasteland 2 a try meanwhile... Whenever the new beta build is ready for testing it must be a big change in version number...
  24. Hey Devs, slowly but surely it seems to be time for the next beta build during the next few days... Any hint when the next build will be on-line?
