  3. Only 7 minor issues left... And a measly total of 83 (including the minor) issues. Is it about time to make wagers on date the 0.8b1 build?
  4. It's basically a merger of two flags during the french revolution, the traditional royal flag (the white flag) and the coat of arms of the city of Paris (red and blue). I guess in times of conflict, they revert to old habits and just hoist the traditional white flag
  5. I take it you've never played "Inquisitor" (WH40K roleplaying game) ? You can download the rules for free here http://www.specialist-games.com/inquisitor/default.asp Without having seen the particulars of the game, I'm pretty sure Eldar will be in there. They are after all one of the most vile and decadent races of the universe Just ask the Inquisitors of the Ordo Xenos "Trust not in their appearance, for the Eldar are as utterly alien to good, honest men as the vile Tyranids and savage Orks. They are capricious and fickle, attacking without cause or warning. There is no understanding them for there is nothing to understand - they are a random force in the universe."
  6. Your game must be a different version to mine. T3 is the main character in the game, the one that knows everything about what is happening, manipulating the other characters, hiding behind his metallic pokerface. He knows what went before, he makes sure that the Ebon Hawk goes where he wants to and only he (and possibly Revan) knows what his secret agenda is. Kreia is just one of his tools, just like poor old HK-47.
  7. Yeah, before you know it, they'll start building a wall all along the US/Canadian border. Not sure what they'll do about the Niagara though...
  8. Why would you go there in the middle of winter?!? Edit: Just to stay a little bit on topic... What the heck happened to Adelaide United in the finals?
  9. My last two "painkillers" was a shot of morphium more than 20 years ago after a bit of surgery and then local anasthetic 10 years ago when getting a root canal done at the dentist... Yes. But then, I think OTC medication is a very bad idea in general. Way too many people swallow the stuff for petty reasons like the common hangover etc.
  10. Just blame KOTOR. Star Wars has some honestly good RPG promise away from Jedi. They just haven't been properly explored in video or computer games. I do. It's the only SW CRPG I know Even if I could have played a non-jedi, I think I might prefer some of the other types of settings I mentioned.
  11. Big let downs... Acting/Writing/Directing. I've been told that Hayden "wooden boy" Christensen actually can act, just not in any SW movie. I also found it hard to reconcile the facts in my brain, that Padme is the same actress as Matilda in Leon (which she played very well). Even if the story is badly told, it could have been much less painful with some decent directing of the actors, some of which are quite good in other movies >_ Worst performance... Hayden Christensen. If the guy can act, then I hope he got paid well as he can't really use his role in the SW movies as a reference (if I were him, I might even consider a name change). He is just the tip of the iceberg though, as the only decent performance was by R2-D2. Worst idea... The move from story telling to techdemo for the newest CGI gadgets. Some kids might get a kick out of the battle scenes, but the story, which is not particularly good to start with, is so badly told it makes you cringe (Episode III was the first movie I've been to where people started leaving the cinema in droves before the end). I hope Lucas hires story writers and directors for future projects
  12. This entertaining (and educational) text brought to you by the BBC digs into the origins of a lot of english swear words. Warning, many of the words are ones that would be filtered out here on the forums http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A753527
  13. As the oldest of three brothers, I can definitely relate to your wifes position
  14. I think it's 340 foot across, not deep. He could always try to get his big rubberband to fling him across the hole then.
  15. I think "fantasy" (the stuff with tree hugging elves and such in it) ranks a shared third space from the bottom of what is my list of preferred genre for crpgs. Competing very hard with Star Wars about who gets second and who gets third. Probably because of the similarities (jedi really feel like multiclassed mage/ranger, mage/fighter and and pure mage). The bottom position is things set in the "real", modern world. Above that... a lot of different genres and settings (bladerunner/syndicate wars, Worlds of Darkness, Warhammer 40K, Cyberpunk, etc.)
  16. Half the fun is listening to people telling why they don't finish the games. Real life ™, bugs/issues, boring, etc. Do game developers put less effort into the endings because they don't expect gamers to finish the games or do gamers put less effort into finishing the games because games developers don't bother to make the ending worth it?
  17. That would be two games in 22-23 years... NWN1, managed to get halfway through chapter 4. Failed Will check against boredom  Oblivion, Borrowed a colleagues game to try out for a week (since it's available pretty cheap from EB games here in Adelaide, I wanted to try before I buy). The only thing mildly interesting were the Dark Brotherhood quest. Nice engine though, maybe somebody will someday release a game on it that I would like to play Otherwise, I think I've completed each and every crpg that I've played
  18. Based on personal experience, I recommend option 2. It's way more exciting
  19. Wanna bet? Somebody is bound to try to turn it into a weapon somehow. This weeks special offer: Homing Asteroids
  20. I liked the Severed Hand better
  21. I'm torn between joy and sadness. I hope they make a new real x-com game, but I fear that they will try to make action game number 632, disregarding everything that made x-com... well x-com. I think I might just install x-com apocalypse and run it in dos-box again. Long time no see.
  22. I'm not sure what fileformat .ram is, but my work computer doesn't support it. It's probably RealAudio There wouldn't by any chance be transscripts of it somewhere?
  23. Obviously you suffered a zombie related incident as a child and have since repressed the memory. I was attacked by a wild dog... I still have the scars on my forehead. "Braainssss!..." Isn't there a professional term for the event, where your mind swaps part of your memory with something that it feels more comfortable with? Like Zombie -> Dog
  24. This reminds me of, that I hevent seen The Fifth Element for way too long
  25. All noted down :thanks: ... I have my own theory on why the Roman civilisation didn't last (something to do with way too complicated grammar and number systems)
