Widow makes a mockery of most enemies. Scions, dead in two shots. Harbinger, mostly two shots. Most bosses, two shots (three if they have shiels, barriers and armour). After playing a soldier in my first game, I felt very naked in my second game, when I no longer had an assault rifle. With the improved magazine capacity for the submachine gun, it makes and ok substitute for close combat. Sniper rifles are the preferred tools of trade for Gorth Shepard though. When mobbed by husks, just punch them in the face and then incinerate them

My phone is not even *that* high tech. It can store peoples names and phone numbers. If I don't recognise the name/number, I don't answer the phone. Nice and simple

I thought streamlining the experience was all the rage these days. Finished my second playthrough. Tried to start a third game, but pure mage (adept?) option just didn't cut it. Not sure if I can stand sitting through all the uninterruptable cutscenes and intros again to properly start a third game.

It hasn't happened for companions (or they get magically unstuck somehow), but it does happen every now and then that a reload is needed. Nothing like a walk in the air over the canyon at the Normandy crash site... or when fighting one of the grind battles where save isn't allowed, killing the last baddie, just to discover that Shepard has gone where no man has gone beofre. On top of a crate with no way down. He killed a reaper apparantly, but a drop of a meter and a half is too dangerous for him. The crates are generally a disappointment. A few of them are the good kind that goes boom, but most of them are weaklings. No hitpoints and no Loot ® >_ Apart from the environments being too obviously set up for trench warfare, the levels are generally nicely done. Wouldn't mind an entire game in an Omega/Space Hulk type of environment

I think they put her in the picture on your desk and left it at that. No skeletons (real or allegorical) in the closet. This. They created an entire deck (which they force the player to visit) around the "feature" that you can only swap armor pieces or even take your helmet off using a terminal. Take that, unobtrusive design! The fish were a nice touch. They should have given the Mess Sergeant a renegade dialogue option of serving sushi for the crew though.

Who needs bulkheads anyway. Yeoman Chambers makes up for a lot of missing bulkheads when it comes to ship designs. Bioware could easily sell that ship to me Edit: Added a missing "missing"

The only "noticeable" bug I've run across is when it kills my PC and I need to do a hard reset. Happens after a few hours play. Is there any purpose to the trash compactor in the cargo room other than the hilarity of compating trash and watch the little cubes being ejected into space?

That is because you live in a country founded by tax evaders. The IRS will always be a symbolic representation of the evil British colonial rule ...or maybe not. My only encounters with US officials has been the customs agents in Los Angeles (LAX). Sheesh, those guys are genetically engineered to remove they capabilities for smiling. Preferable to the alleged gleeful mockery from the IRS I suppose.

It was really short. In fact it was that short Black Isle made a free downloadable expansion for it, to make it at least a bit longer. Other than that, it was an okay expansion. I always wondered about that bit, but then I didn't really hang out on forums at the time, I probably missed out on a lot of interesting rage
