  1. If 35fps is lagging for you invest in a g-sync or freesync (depending on your video card) display. The problem isn't the fps score, the problem is the variation between what it was and what you are getting now. If you have a steady 30fps that's not nearly as big a deal as 35-60 all over the place is. G-sync and Freesync smooth that out.
  2. I liked the glow but even if they dont have a glow I still hope there is some visual vfx signifier for it. This for me as well. It's fine if they want to scale back on it a little, but I think from at the very least a flavor stand point it should exist. Even if it's a toggle in the options menu for those that want it.
  3. I guess because I didn't use a Cipher much in the first game, I just realized there isn't really a cool glowing purple effect on Cipher weapons? Is that just a missing feature from the beta, or did they do away with it as part of the effort to make combat more readable?
  4. I did put what I know about crafting (as well as showing off what recipes we do have/know about) at the end of my newest video for you. Enjoy!
  5. Oh man, so you are that guy, thanks for the videos! think i watched all of them :D What about a video on the craftable items? Thanks for watching! There isn't much on crafting in the beta. There are the potion/scroll/food recipes but you don't really have the materials (that I've seen, maybe you can use the console to cheat them in?) but it's the same as before in that regard - pick "potion of major regeneration" and craft 2 of them if you have the mats, etc. The real crafting, the way to expand on existing magic items, doesn't seem to actually be in the beta (a lot of %missing sting% type stuff). I suppose that's supposed to be something that we enjoy finding out about at release? Or maybe I'm just missing something.
  6. You mean 50% instead of 25% with crits I presume? Oops, yes, fixed! Thanks!
  7. That is not correct. Actually, everything I said (at least in what you quoted) was correct. It sounds though like you are confirming the black text without updating the actual healing number is a bug, which I assumed when I was healing 19 rather than 14. "The tooltip with the flat 14 is not set up properly to display influenced (like so many tooltips in the beta if you just look at them in char sheet instead on the action bar)."
  8. See, we thought that as well, but the math doesn't work out that way either. It does work out if you assume the graze is -100% though. EDIT - To clarify, the presence of Backstab seems to be making the additive Graze effect -100% and the Crit effect +50% instead of the normal 25%. When there is no Backstab in the mix the numbers work out about the way they should be (some minor rounding here and there).
  9. Was doing some math and every time I do a backstab I can't get the math to work out unless I replace 150 with 175% for backstab. Something is off on Graze on Backstab as well, maybe Graze is counting twice? EDIT Upon further testing it seems like Backstsab is doubling the effect of grazes and crits?
  10. I put a little video together to show it off for the OP.
  11. I just played with it a bit, with a decent MGT score and being level 7 nothing changed the listed (black text) value of 14. However, it does trigger twice with dual weapon strikes, which is a huge deal and even though the listed value was 14 it was actually healing 19 so it does seem to raise a little based on something (power level, perhaps).
  12. Nothing wrong with 3 second casting time/4 second recovery time spells
  13. 1 - There are cosmetic pre-order goodies, up to you if they are worth it. Hit the Steam or GOG store page for details. 2 - That's up to you and what you want with your money vs. goodies. Steam has a nice layout of what is added per version, mostly it's extras like sound tracks and an art book, but I think some versions have an extra few in-game items and the 3 upcoming DLC's in a discounted cost. 3 - Price should not be changing. 4 - Probably? 5 - No difference, but GOG and Steam have several differences you may want to research to find which software fits you best. 5b - Not sure about Slovenia stuff. 6 - Not sure... like a 4?
  14. Check your spam folder, I never backed at a physical tier and I still got the message - I believe every backer did, not just those that made a specific order type.
  15. We knew side kicks were just flavorful hirelings, I don't understand why this matters? I may be the wrong audience for this thread though.
  16. That is excellent news - I swear before the bonus power levels weren't stacking, but the higher value was over writing the lower values, but I loaded up my game and you are correct. +30% no buff/not shifted (power level 3), +80% shifted (power level 8, or +5), and then +100% when nature godlike bonus is triggered. Very, very cool!
  17. I thought the life giver bonus to power level was always active until you ended the shifted form? In any case, it rarely will matter for me with this particular build as I have access to several buffs that pop the Nature Godlike +2 power level, which won't stack with the Lifegiver bonus.
  18. Thank you! Eh, could go either way. Let's say... maybe? I did record this mornings video with a bit of a cold, hopefully he's not holding that against the game.
  19. Honestly except the location the save file MIGHT be found in (and they might be in the same place under My Saves) there isn't likely a difference. I can't know for sure, but I'm going to say with authority and certainty anyway - no, no difference, so you can import your save without issue.
  20. Hey, that's my video! Er... what does it have to do with PoE2 being (or not being) a Messy Or Broken Launch?
