  1. That's a possibility too. It would be difficult to reconcile the victim feelings with the predatory nature of the vampire, but I guess that only adds to the RP'ing.
  2. It just doesn't work like that. It probably would if we were flawlessly emotionless machines, but we're not.
  3. Well, it remains to be seen if it will "chipper". At least give us the benefit of doubt, will ya? I agree with the general idea of the post though. VtM is difficult to roleplay when compared to say, D&D. But if the players can really get themselves into the characters and realize that they are actually damned blood robbers, and not super heroes, the game can be really enjoyable. That's why it's one of my favourite settings.
  4. Yep. That's exactly what I'm suggesting.
  5. How about making some sense. I know it's not as funny as making totally unrelated and random comments, but you could try it, for a change.
  6. Yeah, and then we could all live in the gingerbread house at the end of lollipop lane in the land of chocolate... Idealism is beautiful, but impractical. There is no such thing as a global peace based in the goodwill of governments worldwide, nor there is a chance for global de-militarisation. The Roman Empire was strong until their military decayed (for whatever reasons). Then they got their asses kicked for good, and the Dark Ages followed. I'd rather not have that happen again, thank-you-very-much. Bingo! Again, your misunderstanding of what patriotism is leads you to wrong conclusions. Hitler and Mussolini took advantage of patriotic feelings, as did Stalin. The US do not. I wonder, when will Europe get over the nazi stigma attached to patriotism? And I find it somewhat disturbing that you associate adequate "media coverage" with showing the body bags. I guess that by your standards then, Ogrish and Rotten.com are the world's premier news sites.
  7. Er... not to be raining on your party or anything, but hasn't the US military budget been reduced in the last years? You can look at it both ways. Military dominance is probably one of the factors that has brought the US to a position of global supremacy, but obviously not the only one. A strong arm is needed to defend a superpower, and that has always been the case through History. Sure, it's possible to survive and prosper without a large military, or even without a military at all, but those will never be a superpower and they will always have to depend on those who do have strong militaries for defense. 8. After consulting with Dis Pater on the other side of the Shroud, I'd say Sept 22. I expect freebies if I'm right. Congrats man.
  9. Now multiply that by the number of threads in this page. Then multiply that by the number of forums. Yes, now you understand what have you gotten yourself into.
  10. Hmm. Looks like Fio has finally lost it...
  11. What are you talking about man. Your portrait is just great. In fact that was the kind of art I was looking for when I was searching for mine, but I had to make do with VTES drawings. Riiiight. How many have you diablerised?
  12. Ah, yes. Please do turn this into yet another politics thread. I couldn't troll as much as I'd have liked to before the other one was pruned and locked. )
  13. Ditto. True Faith is for wussies. REAL men have Dark Faith.
  14. " Like I'm going to tell you.
  15. Yes. Unfortunately, HE make diablerie difficult. No, I'm not obsessed with this particular topic at all, and I have absolutely no intention of attempting to diablerise the first vampire with a lower Gen than my char, so don't even ask.
  16. Well, according to the article, the IAU has refused to revoke Pluto's "planethood", so I wouldn't be so sure about that. It may very well one of those things in science that defies logic but stays for continuity, nomenclature, or tradition's sake.
  17. Yes, however, I do not believe that while the Camarilla would allow Caitiff to be randomly slaughtered, they would be so happy to have merry diablerists (even if only Caitiff were diablerised) roaming the streets.
  18. Well, on the other hand, warm beer sucks.
  19. Well, since Rome was, according to legend, founded by Aeneas, survivor of Troy, it makes sense that their gods were similar.
  20. Why, to lower the Generation, of course. And yes, the Camarilla probably wouldn't like it, but since you're Caitiff, they wouldn't be so concerned about it. Not to mention that Vegas is not controlled by the Camarilla. Watch your step...
  21. What? Chickening out already? Oh man... One doesn't "need" to determine the Generation. The strength of your blood is what it is and only depends on who embraced you. However, being a low Generation Caitiff without somebody to protect you will make you a target for diablerie. Since low Generation vampires are usually more responsible when giving the Embrace probably makes it logical to have most Caitiff be high Gen, but doesn't rule out any possibilities. Of course, there may be a few Caitiff diablerists, too.
