  1. Hi guys, just taking a random stab here, but are you running the latest NVIDIA drivers perchance?
  2. Hi Burnheart, thanks for checking with us - the Manual Errata page should cover this.
  3. Hi everyone, now that the game has been released, please view this thread before posting on the forums or contacting support about a problem you may be happening. Thank you, everyone! Patches Still Coming? Yes, we're currently working on patch 1.04, which we hope to release during the week of April 13. We are actively monitoring the Technical Support forum and pulling issues out into our internal bug database. Yes (across the same OS - they are not compatible across OS's, unfortunately.) 4. Hi everyone, I just heard that you will need to exit Steam and restart it. It should then queue the special content. You will need to start a new game however to access the pre-order and Kickstarter content. It is granted on new games. Sorry for the inconvenience! Please let me know if that fixes it for you.
  5. Nope, backers get the pre-order bonuses. I'll pass this along to the guys here.
  6. You should be able to, yep! I would just recommend closing anything else you have open when you play, and save regularly!
  7. Oh good ol' BMac Well hopefully we'll get that switched over to the GUI side soon too for you guys, but that's good to know - thanks!
  8. Sadly, we don't know either, but I strongly suspect it'll work just fine. We would want to make it compatible if not. Let us know before you switch back!
  9. That system should work, but it might be a little choppy. 32-bit is playable, but we did have some issues with long time gaming with it (but I believe most of those issues were fixed recently.) Things you can do is to turn off anti-aliasing in your video driver and lower the resolution.
  10. It "should" work on Windows XP, but we didn't extensively test it because Microsoft doesn't officially support the OS anymore (and I would highly encourage you to upgrade away from it if you use the internet on that machine ) Windows XP 64-bit would be better if you have it. We list Windows Vista just because Microsoft still supports it (which means then that the graphics drivers guys generally will too.)
  11. Lowering resolution and turning off anti-aliasing, especially on the Retina versions helps. It was playable just fine on my MacBook Pro from early 2013 (but that's only two years old )
  12. It looks OK - the only potentially troubling part is the Intel HD 3000 chip. The game doesn't yet offer a way to turn off anti-aliasing in game, but if you can turn that off in your driver it should be much better.
  13. I'm not a programmer on the game but it doesn't require hyperthreading. The game does use several threads, but it's not extremely multithreaded.
  14. The system requirements did not change due to any new slowdowns in the game, etc. If it works great on the backer beta, the release won't be worse. In fact, it probably plays better due to other late optimizations that went in. QA recommendations changed the system requirements a number of times (and frankly, are probably now a little old based on a lot of stuff we've done recently), but I think doing things like turning off anti-aliasing and lowering resolution will help a lot. I don't believe the system requirements necessarily take that into account (but to be fair, I'm not in the QA department. ).
  15. Hi St2988, thanks! I completely agree on both of those. I know #2 has been discussed a couple times internally too, just not exactly sure where it is yet on the patch schedule (but it's important for sure.) Passing this along to our internal QA!
  16. I keep asking this question, to which I never get an answer. Answer incoming! The physical backer versions come with a DRM-free unprotected, no distribution platform version of the game. It's the game fresh off of our internal servers with no additives or preservatives. Not to be confused with the retail versions you can buy in a store - those are Steam copies, but we're not sending those to backers.
  17. Hi Barras, that's correct - it should go away tomorrow after the launch time.
  18. Hi all, just wanted to make a brief sticky here - the official launch time for the game is 9 AM PDT / 17:00 CET. This is for both GOG and Steam. Less than 10 hours to go! Thanks! Darren
  19. Hi Nick, please refresh and give it a shot - it should be listed there for you now. It just needed to be converted to the newer Paradox SKU type to appear. Thanks and apologies.
  20. This is true - the guys at Steam go home around the same time as most of us and they help us make the game live. 9 AM is a typical time for them (also so that a lot of our core customers will all be able to play at the same time!)
