  1. I can understand that. The only thing that irked me with the NWN2 romance was that you could only "get" the druid. I was hoping to check out the tail on Neeshka a bit closer, if you know what I mean
  2. Academy was fun, only problem was that it was criminally short.
  3. Shame to hear about all the people having trouble with the new patch. It's only been a good thing for me since it almost doubled the fps for me in graphics heavy areas and made the whole game flow a lot better for me.
  4. Barry Manilow? HAHAHAHAHAAH! "Oh, Wendersnaven, you came and you kept me from dying, but I sent you away!" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You know, that would make one kickass bard song.
  5. Maybe I'm just weird but every time I look at Sand and Grobnar I see Hugo Weaving and Barry Manilow..
  6. I agree. A nice big expansion would suite me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Indeed, although I'm not sure if I would want it to reach the Epic levels. Guess I'm one of those strange kind of people that doesn't care about a Monty Haul but have the most fun in a low level campaign, such as Baldurs Gate.
  7. It's kind of a peculiar PrC, but I think it works well with rogues, monks, and rangers. Pure fighter or barbarian builds might not find the benefits of the PrC that great. It's oriented around running all over the battlefield and preventing your pals from getting whacked. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Heh, I have to admit that the main reason that I want to try out the Neverwinter Nine is the sweet armour you see on the character creation screen. Too bad that according to a friend of mine you won't be able to get it until very late into the game.
  8. Out of curiosity, what kind of character concepts "meshes" well together with the Neverwinter Nine PrC?
  9. The prose isn't necessarily any better or worse, but the writing often comes across as worse because I think many people are more sensitive to the context of romance than to other situations. "Oh, [CHARNAME]. I know that I'm a devout pacifist druid of Eldath and you're a halfling cleric of Talos, the Lord of Storms, but... as I stand next to you among this pile of fourteen freshly fireball-charred goblin corpses, I really feel something special between us. It's the sort of bond that could only be felt between me and someone like you, someone with the [PROTAGONIST] tag." 3. Shut up and get out of my face. "Oh... oh, [CHARNAME], how could you? After that one previous node of dialogue where you gave a non-hostile response, I thought I was something special to you! Well now I see I was wrong!" 5. I hate you and hope that the Lord of Storms consumes you with a divine call lightning spell. "Okay, I'll end this dialogue now, but you better know there's only one more floor trigger that's going to give you the option to be my sweetheart!" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry for bringing this quote up again but I had to since it was golden in my eyes
  10. Is the 3 lost spellcaster levels from a Wiz8/Fig2/EK10 that bad? What am I giving up compared to a Wiz 10/EK 10 build? Oh, and is it worth to get the Craft Magic Armour and Weapons feat for myself or should I use a follower for that?
  11. You need to either get a level of Fighter or burn a feat to get Martial Weapons. The first level of EK doesn't give you a caster level, the following 9 levels do though. You also lose out on the free Metamagic feats that a pure Wizard gets.
  12. And based on Berserk's question: Didn't we find out that you don't actually need ranks in diplomacy to become an eldritch knight? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I never believed that I needed to get Diplomacy ranks in order to get Eldritch Knight. I want Diplomacy because I like to be able to talk my way out of things and if that fails I'll just start dropping fireballs. Maybe I should go Sorcerer instead of Wizard for my Eldritch Knight? I'll probably won't be using too many different spells and metamagic on the fly would be pretty nice. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah. Hadn't consider that you just wanted Diplomacy in order to talk your way out of things. :D And the Sorceror/Wizard thing depends on what you want to do with your character. A wizard can get both 9th level spells and 4 attacks per round. A sorceror can only have one of the two because of his slower spell progression. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Heh, Wizard it is then. Guess I'll go for Able Learner, Powerattack, Cleave and spellcasting feats for the rest of my remaining feats.

  14. I had forgotten that Diplomacy wasn't on either the Wizards or the Fighters skill list. Would getting Able Learner help me much with increasing my Diplomacy or is there a way to make Diplomacy a class skill through a Feat or so?
  15. Interesting, thanks for the information. Should I start as a Wizard for the skillpoints or should I go for Fighter to get the extra feats, as my starting class?
  16. You need to be able to cast level 3 spells, a good class to start off in is wizard. Throw in a few levels of fighter so you can gain some of the fighter feats. This is what I did. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Would it be a good idea to exchange those fighter levels for rogue levels instead in order to get more skillpoints and access to more skills? I could always add the needed feats later on.
  17. He is a chaotic good guy with tendency to neutrality. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd say that the Punisher is Lawful Neutral since he is pretty bound to his own "code", i.e punish the "guilty" and don't let "innocents" get hurt in the crossfire. How he arrives to the conclusion of who is "guilty/innocent is a whole other story though Calling him good is a bit much though, since he doesn't really care about what kind of methods he employs as long as it gets the job done.
  18. I got the game a couple of days ago and I'm having a lot of fun with it. I did discover however that my DnD knowledge isn't quite as extensive as it used to be. I could use some help in how I should proceed in making a decent Eldritch Knight. Has anyone played as one and what are the most important things to remember when making/playing one?
  19. Sweet, I guess I'll go IG and Tau first of all. I've always enjoyed playing the shooty factions in Dawn of War. After that I'll probably go green and propa' stomp those 'oomies' downz inta de mud.
  20. If I wanted to find out more about WHFRPG, where should I look and do anyone know some good forums where I can read about other peoples misfortune in the Warhammer world? Player stories are always fun to read.
  21. There are no spears in Oblivion so you'll have to change that a bit. I have to say that I find it a bit humorous that the Tamriel Empire, just as the Roman empire in the real world, prided itself for it's light infantery who were trained in the art of the sword and the SPEAR doesn't have one of their most important weapons anymore. I'm not too happy about the generic fantasy feeling I've gotten from Oblivions artwork but I guess that I got spoiled by Morrowind atmosphere that actually managed to convey a truly "alien" feeling. EDIT: Aside from the disappointment that I won't be able to make my Dragoon, I just hope that Oblivion isn't half as crash happy as Morrowind was before 2 or 3 patches later.
  22. he's a fifth dimentional imp. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Doesn't change the fact that he's a fruity, annoying midget..
  23. Bizarro is cool but why did they have to include that fruity midget? Always despised that little bugger..
  24. Ah, Dungeonkeeper. I've never managed to find another game that makes being evil feel so right (and fun).
