  1. I'm really not surprised by the requirements. They always do improve it for the PC version, and GTA4 had some issues on the 360 that can probably be blamed solely on the hardware. But I'll defer to Nightshape, being the only one who really has a lot of experience with this 3d engine stuff.
  2. Who is Janmanden? I've seriously never seen him before today, but he's got 466 posts. Werd, I thought I knew most posters here. So do we need a "Is Fallout 3 really a Fallout game" poll? Because the title kinda tipped me off, but a poll might clear it up for the more bitter folks.
  3. I'm confused, I see huge differences in the graphical quality of the shots Deadly posted, and Kaftan just posted some photoshoped junk. Are you guys joking?
  4. Actually the most recent one was pretty solid, in many ways it returned to the fell of the original. Wait, are you calling the first on crap too? I'm not a fan of the series, but it didn't become a huge series solely on the pixelated boobs, it had some pretty great gameplay in its day.
  5. 30 Days of Night - I really liked the setting of this movie, and I think it was handled well. It's basically a vampire attack in a northern city of Alaska where the sun doesn't rise for a month. I also think Josh Brolin is a pretty good actor and he was enjoyable to watch. But I think they could have done more with certain parts. The Vampires are almost given an interesting story, and there is a whole Icebreaker ship angle that is never touched upon after the beginning. Overall I thought it was decent, but missed a chance to be fantastic.
  6. Well, Fallout 3 is the newest of the good RPG's, and of you liked Oblivion and Stalker then you'll love it. I'd say Mass Effect is exactly like Knights of the Old Republic. It just isn't Star Wars. Unless you are crazy and like to nitpick everything, you'll definitely enjoy it.
  7. I don't consider her a great actress (although Pamela Anderson is a different level of bad). She was ok in Garden State and served her purpose in V for Vendetta, but she's turned in some pretty bad performances in other films. But I respect the choices she has made with her life. She went to college and has continued to educate herself despite being filthy rich from acting. She's a positive role model for young women, and that's not easy to find in the current sea of uneducated but attractive celebrities who get exposure for being horrible, like Linsay Lohan, Brittney Spears, and Paris Hilton. I don't really find her attractive but I wouldn't consider her ugly.
  8. As soon as my 360 gets repaired, I'll download the demo. I'm more concerned with getting nauseous than liking the gameplay. It sounds fantastic, but I've had a few FPS games give me major headaches.
  9. Not just her best movie, but the bestest movie ever! +1 +2 It's on my top 3 list of all time. Um...but is there really any changes from The Professional to Leon? I thought that was just the US release title.
  10. It's a fun, good game - but a worthy Fallout 3? I think I'm confused about what you are looking for out of your games.

I'm shocked that Melrose was fired 16 games into the season. The Lightning have major issues, and I think Melrose can't be blamed for most of them. Don't get me wrong, Melrose seemed to be ill prepared to coach, but they could at least go half a season. The fact is the Lightning will probably miss the playoffs no matter who the coach is, they have serious management issues. There record isn't even horrid. They were dead last in the standings this year, what was the expectation?
  12. I think he was the protagonist in at least one, and a commander in others. The bully from Back to the Future was Maniac, and I'd probably say it's one of the better FMV video game performances to date.
  13. Space sims used to be huge. Wing Commander and Tie-Fighter were gigantic properties in their time.
  14. I'd guess the woman whose vagina you came out of was your mother, but there was definitely something between Dad and Dr. Li.
  15. Or a good Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe.
  16. Very well said. It is odd that someone who seems to have little regard for most forum goers here spends so much time here. I hang out here because there are quite a few people with similar interests and I enjoy conversing with them.
  17. I started to figure out the Subway pretty early on, you just need to know if you are trying to go up or down. Plus there are quite a few signs still up to follow.
  18. I miss the attempt at getting one rep from each team. I know that leaves out some big star players (like Malkin or Datsyuk) but it's also great for the fans of less stacked teams.
  19. This isn't an election. The numbers just show that all three games are very good. I'd be interested in seeing what would happen if we removed the votes of people who haven't played all three titles.
  20. Whoa, don't drag me into this! First, the only companion I've even found is Dogmeat, and unfortunately that's just what he becomes all too often out in the wastes. I got tired of reloading, so I left him safe and sound back home. This game requires a lot of exploring in crumbling ruins and narrow tunnels where I figured that a companion might be more of a burden than a help, and as I said, from a roleplaying point of view, the vault dweller's journey seems intensely personal so traveling alone seemed a reasonable choice. I don't care if you don't want to play the game. If you don't like Bethesda products and don't want to buy one, that's entirely your choice. Yeah, the game really works best as a lone wanderer. There are some great companion moments. When I had to protect a group of scientists, it was great. Some were scared, some were willing to take a gun and fight along. I enjoyed the choices and the fight scene there, and I felt rewarded at the end. But I didn't want a long term companion around. I wanted to sneak around and explore dangerous places, and having a lackey around wasn't welcome. I'll probably try to keep a few people wih me in a repeat playthrough. I also rarely replay games. Jagged Alliance 2 is about the only one I actively replay again and again (and again). The fact that I'm planning another character after beating the game says a lot.
  21. It's fairly interesting how quickly you can skip parts of the main plot. That might be useful on a second play through.
  22. Crashgirl, I'm pretty comfortable recommending it to you based on what I know of your gaming preferences. I think you'll have a blast exploring the wastelands.
  23. Explain. Yes, and please disclose your stance on Casino Royale to establish credentials.
  24. The issue with this review is the fact that he's done it a couple times already. He doesn't like RPG's, and at its core that is what Fable 2 is. I still thought the review was entertaining though.
  25. I remember when WoW launched originally I was desperate to find a midnight launch party, but there were none in my area. I had pre-ordered from Gamestop, but they didn't open until 10, so I went to Target at 8 AM and grabbed the first one off the shelves. It was pretty awesome, made it to level 15 by the end of day 1.
