Hmm, I thought it was more of a borefest like Diablo 2, to be honest.

I enjoyed Hellboy II a lot and probably put it higher than Hulk and Han****. I went into Hulk with very low expectations after the previous one, and I was pleasantly surprised. Edward Norton does that a lot though, and the City of God cinematography alone was worth the ticket price. Han**** was so-so. I enjoyed it as a popcorn flick.

TSN is reporting that it's likely down to New York or Vancouver. So Hurlshot, how many more games do the sharks have against Roloson this year? If Edmonton wins tonight they'd be in 8th place. San Jose - Edmonton first round playoff matchup? :D We don't talk about the playoffs in San Jose.

In Wow, I used to go around Stormwind with a few Paladins barking orders at people. Sometimes it led to fairly good session of acting, sometimes it just led to a few laughs. Sometimes we ended up running away from over-acting emo folks (who always seemed to be night-elves.) The point is, Stormwind is a pretty nice tennis court. -
Man, the Sharks just seem incapable of losing games in regulation. I think they could just have everyone sit on the bench for the first period, let the other team shoot into the empty net as many times as they want, and still go out and win the game in the last two periods.

Is that on the PSP or DS? What is it?

Jagged Alliance (the original) is supposed to come out on the DS soon. I saw some screenshots and it actually looks pretty solid.

MMO's can be an excellent platform for RP, but the developers aren't responsible for the fact that there are a lot of morons in the world. It all comes down to the company you keep. -
Fable 2 scores 10/10 on Eurogamer...

You don't think you will upgrade to a DirectX 10 card eventually? I highly recommend it. -
I enjoyed Buffy, but I'd put Angel above it. Buffy's best moments were created by fringe characters, like the second vampire slayer who went crazy and Spike. I would put Firefly even higher, but honestly I think if Firefly had 5 seasons, it wouldn't have been as great. These shows lose steam over time, and Firefly has the curse and the blessing of dying young. Angel was filled with good times. The whole law firm that represents demons and other evil creatures was fantastic. And it was a more adult theme. But none of these are high art or anything. Buffy is 90210 and Angel is Melrose place, but for fantasy geeks. Firefly is essentially Growing Pains.

I don't think Age of Conan messed up the setting, in fact I think Tortage was a fantastic voyage through a Robert Howard story. I just think the game lost focus after that. Maybe they needed more time, or they needed to focus their efforts on less content. -
Are you agreeing with her actions? It's one thing to disagree with the war, and even protesting the war. Her actions went above and beyond that. Just like it is one thing to hate your parents and not attend their funerals, but getting on the coffin as it is lowered into the ground and whooping in glee is in very poor taste.

Geez, she was 34 when she did that. I thought she was younger. She can't even blame it on the naivet

I believe it was an anti-aircraft gun.

Jane Fonda might be the exception to my rule. Using celebrity to spout uninformed political opinions is one thing, but sitting on a weapon that is used to fire upon US soldiers is unforgivable. Blech.

Hmm, I wonder who the final boss will be?

A great character in my second favorite show, but I can't seem to separate the actors politics from his performance. I've always found it's best to realize that actors, musicians, and athletes make their living PLAYING, and should not be taken seriously on an intellectual level unless they have distinguished themselves in that realm.

Sadly, I have to agree on Pacey from Dawson's creek. It's embarrassing, but his character really was the only watchable one. I would also put Briscoe County Jr. on an all-time list, but I'm going to do current running and fairly new series. 1. Sayyid from Lost - Iraqi National Guard torturer for the win. Heck of a Bollywood dancer too. 2. Michael Westen from Burn Notice - Always entertaining super spy 3. Jin from Lost - I don't believe he's dead 4. Sam from Burn Notice - Bruce Campbell is always a treat on screen 5. Chuck from Chuck - Goofy genius 6. Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory - Seriously, if you aren't watching this show, you are a moron 7. Barney from How I Met Your Mother - Neil Patrick Harris, wait for it...Nailed it! 8. Stewie from Family Guy - From the first episode, the evil baby genius has defined this series 9. Casey from Chuck - Jane from Firefly continues to entertain in fairly similar role 10. The crazy genius guy from Law and Order: Criminal Intent ( I could really do a separate Law and Order list)

What does this have to do with Fallout 4? -
What happens if the company, that hold the DRM-licenses, go bust? Or if the studio/distributor/vendor as well? This applies to any mp3, movie or game that you have bought. I'm not answering for Caliban, but so what if they do? These things happen. I'm not going to fret about the 99 cents I spent on a song, or the $20 I spent on a movie, or even the $50 I spent on the game. Sure, if the companies tank and make my stuff unusable after a month, I'll be sore about it. But when has that ever happened? Usually any company that goes under creates a business plan that gives some support for at least a few months after the collapse. I really don't expect the media I purchase to last forever. And I'm ok with that. The good stuff will be remastered for new media, and there is always new stuff coming out anyways.

What kind of future settings is Obsidian planning?

Actually we've had a few discussions over the years about Shadowrun and the excellent Genesis and SNES games that were set in the universe. It would be great to see an RPG in that universe. I always thought a Jagged Alliance style combat engine would be a fantastic fit for it. -
Both Half-Life 2 and Ultima 7 are blatant rip-offs of Pong and should never be called revolutionary. Pong is also a rip-off of Table Tennis, so that's not revolutionary either.

Aren't a lot of dosbox compatible games free for download now? Dosbox is far from perfect though. I've tried to get Xcom 3 to run through it a few times and I can't get the sound to work. VDMS might help. Thanks for that. I'm sure if I try hard enough, I can get any of my old games to run, but my point is old software is going to have compatibility problems with or without DRM. There are ways around DRM as well. I've already stated that I am a huge supporter of petitioning for better customer service from EA regarding DRM. For example, when I re-install Windows, I need to call and get a new code. It takes some time, but it's not all that difficult. If EA had a similar set up, I think that would be fantastic.

Most older games that are worth playing won't run well on new OS's anyways. Thankfully there are a few services out there that work to make older titles playable, and they are very well priced. Gametap and Good Old Games are they biggest I know of. My King's Quest 1-4 boxset is simply gathering dust, it isn't playable with or without DRM.
