  1. Again, Saddam Hussein could have cleared all this up pretty easily. Whether it was bad intelligence or lies, Hussein did very little to try and correct it.
  2. I thought the art direction was exactly the same. I did feel like we went through some grimier locations in the sequel, but other than that I'm really scratching my head over Oblarg's beef. I also don't get the plot comment. I think a lot of people would agree that ME2 was light on actual plot progression and was more about developing a cast of characters and setting up the third game, but I'm not sure where the absurdity was.
  3. I wouldn't mind it so much if they posted in the appropriate thread, but making new threads about every lame thing is really annoying.
  4. Did you get anyone to go to the confessional box with you?
  5. I'm not sure why you would be against the recent DLC for ME2. It's fairly awesome and fairly inexpensive. It adds a lot of flavor to the lore of the universe.
  6. Hopefully Obsidian got their money up front, and cashed the check fast.
  7. Jesus, where the heck have you been? I agree with you 100% by the way. It is simply an amazing game.
  8. I'm very excited about the fact I called the whole bot thing early here. I feel like my Internet Forum Kung Fu has peaked.
  9. Ok, I'm pretty far into the game, and I'm quite blown away by it. It really comes down to the choice and consequence. Obsidian is simply a master at giving me multiple choices that all seem somewhat decent. This is a far cry from the Bioware model, which is basically be good/be a jerk. I enjoy Bioware's games because I get to be a save the world hero, but Obsidian is going much deeper with choice and consequence. They did the same thing with Alpha Protocol. If you haven't listened to the Zero Punctuation Review of AP, he basically says Obsidian is showing off with the sheer amount of consequences to every one of your actions. They continue this on an even larger scale with FO:NV. So basically I'm saying it is one of the greatest games I have ever played. Now I am not the type who cares about gameplay or glitches or inventory management or whatever. I care about story, character development, choice, and consequences. FO:NV possesses those in spades. If you are on the fence because of concerns over bugs, get off it. Bugs are short term, they will get fixed, and the game is worth working around them a bit. Knock on wood, I've actually had zero issues with the game. It is brilliant.
  10. This is interesting stuff, but do you have any links to cheap meds or nike shoes?

Awesome. I think my first modem was 1200 baud.

I used to dial in to Prodigy Online for my cheat codes when I was a kid.
  13. I called this back in another thread earlier: http://forums.obsidian.net/index.php?showtopic=56401
  14. It's like someone broke into my private mental journal, and read all my thoughts on Call of Duty, and then refuted them. Amazing!
  15. It probably also has a lot to do with the fact that Turbine has seen a huge revenue jump since they switched DDO and LotRO to free to play. Although I think it's a bit misleading to call LotRO free to play, since it is much cheaper to run a subscription if you plan on doing all the high level stuff.
  16. I'm not really supportive of the Iraq war, but it's important to keep in mind that Hussein was a major douche. He was really asking for it.
  17. Last night I went to a buddy's 30th Birthday, and we were drinking this Blonde Bock by Gordon Beirsh. Apparently it has a 7.2 alcohol content, and I've been sick all day. My wife told my daughter I ate too much Halloween candy Giants are going to the World Series though, so a celebration was in order.
  18. Do you enjoy it? It's better than my previous job as a bridge troll. I can work from home, and there is less worry over large goats and my lack of swimming skills. We do have a thread for all your random announcements here, so you don't take over the front page with new threads. http://forums.obsidian.net/index.php?showtopic=56251
  19. According to Volo, that is just what I do
  20. I have no idea how to make the ammunition or what to do with the cases. I also have no idea how to do it in real life, so maybe that is my problem.
  21. I'm convinced this poster is a bizarre bot. Just stop and think about this for a second...
  22. Consoles and games aren't like they used to be. This generation of consoles is basically a computer, fraught with plenty of hardware issues, and console games are infinitely more complex than they were in the 8-bit days.
  23. I had similar issues with Fable 2 on the 360. edit: I hate to say it, but I have a little less sympathy for you since you rented it. You are really only out a few bucks, and since you got 26 hours of entertainment, I'd say you came out pretty well.
  24. Who handles the lion's share of the bug testing anyways, the publisher or developer? I'm a bit shocked about the 360 problems, that's hard to overlook. Of course, I had Fable 2 crap out on me on the 360 back in the day.
  25. Every review I read seems to be all about the bugs. I don't remember that being much of a focus when the original came out, and yet the bugs seem to be a carry over problem. Is it really that buggy? It's ben fine for me, I had one graphical glitch early on but it was easy to work around.
