What you did today
I'll just bring my RV and park it on GD's property, that way we aren't too much of a bother.

Xcom
I'm not sure, but I'm happy to start a brand new campaign. It promises to be very different with the new stuff.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
It sounds pretty reasonable. I expected the PC version of GTAV to come out around 6-12 months after the console version, so that makes sense.

You obviously didn't get the deep themes. It's one thing to say the themes fell flat, but to deny their existence is not a good sign for Morgie. Comparing it to Gears of War is quite a stretch.

Yager Games
That really made it obvious you didn't play the game.

Xcom
Seriously, this pretty much looks like a brand new game. Throw in some harpoons and a cruise ship and we have a full sequel.

What you did today
I'm glad you think of me when you say Big shot VIP Welcome back Pixie, the forum has changed dramatically since you've been gone. Rosjberg is the new Shryke, for starters.

What are you reading?
I'm actually upset that I'm almost done with 2nd Patrick Rothfuss book. He's the best writer I have read in a long while, and I want the third book now.

Can you remove that phallic starwars galaxy person on your homepage?
I laughed as well, but then I took the poll and noticed Call of Duty has over 2,000 votes. I cried.

Yager Games
I assume we are all talking about the phosphorus bombing. I refused to do it at first. I tried to shoot it out for a bit, then I actually walked away from the game. Eventually I decided I wanted to see where the game went with it and proceeded. I walked away afterwards for a bit as well. I don't think it is bad for a game to weigh on you, in fact I wish more of these ultra violent games went that route. So many of them brush over the kill rate with little thought. edit: Thanks a ton to Bendu for gifting me the game, by the way. It has been a real surprise for me.

Yager Games
I will definitely say the game poses tough questions and puts you in uncomfortable situations. Now they don't give you a lot in the way of choices, but I think that is part of their message.

Yager Games
It is? What sets it apart from other modern cinematic cover shooters? They went with an Apocalypse Now/Heart of Darkness theme with their story. While I'm not sold on them actually pulling it off, it is nice to see the attempt at not glorifying the violence.

Or are we just going to take a round of Jager shots?

I'm playing Spec Ops right now and it is an interesting game, but I'd love to see them do something less shooty.

SW: The Old Republic Part 5
If they are going to devote resources to the space aspect of the game, they should get rid of the minigame feel of it and make a real space game where you travel from planet to planet, mine resources, and have quest hubs. I will not be subbing any time soon.

Tel Afar, primary school attacked
I'm wondering what sort of countries you're talking about that don't have freedom of the press, yet have Western newspapers at their newstands. I was simplifying the argument a bit, since in the digital age the concept of press is much more complicated. But a country like Iran isn't necessarily completely cut off from Western Media, it just has a better chance of seeing only the reports that the ruling party can benefit from.

Movies You've Seen Recently
My post asks what did they need to put in 3D in the Great Gatsby, and by they I am referring to the producers. But I apologize if I was unclear, I guess a better way to say it would be what did they choose to make 3D that made it unique. I would still really love an answer, as I haven't seen the movie yet. I honestly thought we were friends at this point Volourn, I did not mean to upset you.

I was just interested to hear how they used 3D that you found to be awesome and unique. It was not meant to be argumentative.

Movies You've Seen Recently
I'm biased since it makes me sick, but what in the world did they need to make 3d in Gatsby?

Oh please, stop exaggerating, criticizing Islam is not the same as being an enemy of it. That's like saying I'm a Nazi for criticizing Israel. Which I do. I am talking more about a matter of perspective. From the perspective of a person living in a country where there is no freedom of the press, opening up a western newspaper and reading criticisms of Islam comes across as much more threatening towards their way of life. Couple that with the outright lies that many extremists groups propagate, it is very easy to understand why Muslims throughout the Islamic world believe the biggest threat to them is the West. The path to peace requires peace, understanding, and acceptance on all sides. Criticism has its time and place, and it isn't at the start of the discussion.
