What you did Today: The Story of you
I am at this Sports Clips place so my son can get a haircut. I am sitting in the waiting area and two stylists have already asked me if I need a cut. I have no hair. 🙄

Outer Worlds also kind of reminds me of a Rick and Morty episode.

What are you playing now: The New Thread
Just finished The Outer Worlds. This is my favorite Obsidian game to date. It is very much a Firefly type setting, and I loved it. The characters were all fantastic and nuanced in a way we rarely get in video games. The ending wrapped up very nicely, with my story being complete, but plenty of room for more mysteries to solve in future games.

What you did Today: The Story of you
I had my first 10k race today. It was small local event and I finished 3rd overall with a time of 42:40. My wife won for the women, so she has a nice trophy for the mantle. 🏃♂️🏃♀️

Politics First Contact
It is ok to take a step back and try to explain yourself better though. We all have moments when we aren't getting our points across clearly, particularly with the lack of tone on a message board. You've been here talking with us for awhile now and not everything needs to be an argument. I really was hoping you would clarify your stance on demonizing people.

Politics First Contact
Pretty sure a few of us missed your point. You demonize democrats to point out how both sides demonize each other? So you are saying you don't believe democrats are evil and want to enslave people? It is hard to track your tone.

True. I have no idea how people decide to vote anymore. I mean, after Trump basically shrugged off grabbing women in the crotch, I can't predict anything.

I'll stick to my bicycle. Same speed and less poop. Plus I look better in spandex than western wear.

The Outer Worlds is a commercial success
I don't really get how it isn't a AAA title. I mean, I understamd the economics of AAA titles, but I am not sure what it is missing that a bigger budget would provide.

I love my car, but I am really starting to re-think the car culture we have in this world. I mean, it's really only been about a century that we've created this massive car infrastructure. How long would it take to change that? https://fortune.com/2016/03/13/cars-parked-95-percent-of-time/

It also seems like box office is becoming less of an indicator of success in Hollywood.

Great game, too short
I do get this. It is easy to lose connection to a game when it takes more than a month to get through. You start to lose track of the quests you were on, the gameplay of a levelled up character, etc. It can even be difficult to read thick books when you have kids and a day job. But it is a lot easier to sit down for 15 minutes and read a chapter or two than sit down and game for 15 minutes.

This whistleblower stuff is insane. I don't understand anyone who would support releasing their name. What possible benefit does that have other than to intimidate and discourage the entire idea of coming forward with evidence?

I think so. I am on antibiotics and something called Omeprazole for a bit.

I've been having a lot of stomach issues, so my doctor ran a bunch of tests. Turns out I have bacteria in my stomach, si he is treating that, but I am also allergic to wheat and nuts. So my life is over. I can't give up beer and peanut butter.

Great game, too short
What is the sense of urgency? Everyone has been frozen for 70 years, a couple more weeks while I explore are not going to make a big difference. That is why the Bethesda storylines always bothered me. They do seem urgent. But a floating colony that has already been missing for 70 years is pretty relaxed.

Game like this should be available everywhere
Sales aren't necessarily king anymore, anyways. Fortnite built an empire on a f2p model. My guess is Microsoft is much more interested in concurrent users and hours logged at this point than traditional sales, hence them offering it on the gamepass for a buck.

Great game, too short
I've got to assume some people just skip through the dialogue and terminals to read, because nothing about this game seems short to me. There is a ton to do and explore.

The timing of this has coincided well with me spending all my time on the Xbox Gamepass for PC Windows 10 thingee. They really need to get a better name for their platform. But yeah, I'm sure I'll be unhappy once I go back to Steam on the regular.- Politics Generations
What the heck happened to Rand Paul?- Weirder, More random, More Interesting.
There does seem to be this strange disconnect between the world we live in today and the baby boomer generation. My mother-in-law, who we support financially and allow to live with us, has this weird pride about terribly wasteful stuff. For example, on Sundays she wants to go to church with her friends and then go out for coffee afterwards. They all drive separate cars to the church, then drive separate cars to coffee. The crazy thing is she really doesn't have a car. She lost hers due to financial mistakes years ago, and she doesn't have the money to get another. We have a family car that we let her use regularly because she helps transport the kids. But every Sunday we are like "Hey, we are using the family car to do family stuff." We also have a very old truck with 300k miles on it, so she always asks to use that, but the thing is on the last leg. Every weekend I'm like, "Can you carpool?" and she acts like it is a huge problem. I don't get it. My friends and I carpool everywhere we can if we are going to the same place. What the heck? To make it even more ridiculous, both the church and the coffee shop are within a mile of our house. Flat with nice sidewalks. But baby boomers are not the healthiest generation, so that's too much to expect.- RandOm vIDeo gAme newS
