  1. ... isn't the whole point of them so that they stand out...
  2. am I the only one that liked the models? Maybe I'm weird but I love the low-res look.
  3. in no freaking way would you call this a feminist discussion. Why do people keep bringing up Kreia as a well-written character? Shouldn't a well-written character have a coherent character arc?
  4. Uh the ability to multiclass so I can play as a chanter/ranger/cipher/wizard.
  5. I'll probably pick up some General Tso's from my favorite Chinese place around the corner, lock the cats out of my room, and ignore my fiance.
  6. Anyone not involved in this argument and yet able to keep up with it has my sincere admiration... Anyway... I've changed my mind and decided I want Obsidian to include romances because I want to see how people deal with dating a godlike. You know, an otherwise normal person with flowers growing out on them and big floppy ears, or giant black things where the top of their head should be... Oh well, there's always fanfiction!
  7. Are you serious? Aside from having to create all new models (that the player will never see unless they use them for their character/s), your race matters to the setting. There may not be a lot of reactivity from NPCs but the game's creators put a lot of thought into the cultures and races of Eora, colonialism is one of the themes of the game, and a random race just stuck in would really not mesh. Also the Aumaua are the big "brutish" fantasy race of PoE and they are way better than orcs because they come in more colors than just green.
  8. Hm funny how it's always the man that is "gross." Are there any fairy tales with gross ladies, I'd like to know.
  9. *cough*Garrus Vakarian*cough* Oh wait. You're talking about female characters men would want to romance... never mind.
  10. I'm okay with technological progression but if PoE ever goes steampunk I will go to Obsidian headquarters and bite everyone involved.
  11. If he has a good sense of humor I would date the one on the left.
  12. It's the Bhaalspawn pheromones, it's impossible for elf priestesses to resist.
  13. Do you think Viconia, Jaheria, and Aerie would really fight over Justin Bieber
  14. Personally with their big, shiny eyes, I find them kind of cute. I'm just not intimidated by spider-headed people.
  15. I don't think anything's been said about robes, but I hope if they do have them they reflect the different cultures that made them.
  16. I'd totally back that. I'd also back Chris Avellone's Hatemance with Elf Genocide RPG Experience. Either one would be acceptable projects. Elf genocide? Sign me up!
  17. Remember when they revealed the trolls and everyone was upset that the trolls don't look enough like everybody else's trolls... I think the blights are cool. I don't have to be in love with every creature to enjoy the game. Josh answered my question on tumblr but didn't mention the Vailian Republics which was what I was really interested in, darn it.
  18. In Star Wars: The Old Republic, female Imperial agents can date a human who is part of an alien insectoid hive mind. That was pretty weird... Personally all I want in a romance-able character is someone who's likeable.
  19. I was planning on polishing this some more, but since a WIP version was posted by someone else already, I decided to call it a day. You can see a higher res version here
  20. I'm not. I like well-written romances in my games. Obsidian has never delivered any and I wouldn't trust them to this time around either. I take issue with the idea that not having such a feature will make PoE a shallow hack-and-slash. You do realize that the romances in BG2 were last minute additions and not the centerpiece of the game, right? Which is why female characters got shafted.
  21. Also the idea that less dungeons = more writing doesn't make sense. Do you think the people who would be creating the dungeons are going to be put to work writing?
