Will probably roll monk or druid. Interesting that there's no rogue (BG2 syndrome, woo!), I'm fairly sure Eder was originally a rogue.

I assumed disarm would be based on mechanics but I thought you had to be in stealth to detect? Derp if I'm wrong.

I'll try the attack ability later and report back but I don't think so. Also, remember to stealth to detect traps!

Heya Arv, Really great interview, very informative. If I had one piece of feedback for you, it's that sometimes you put over your opinions in your questions a bit too much so some things can come off a little bit loaded, and you do talk almost as much as Josh did for the interview. But again, really interesting stuff.

Too long compared to other classes, yeah. Aefyllath Ues Mith Fyr being bumped up from 1st to 3rd level chant is a little bananaramas. But to be fair, it is OP as all hell so it's not a terrible move! Lovely spoiler warning at the top, glad people are getting something from them. Ofc, if they devs see these and want me to take them down, they've just gotta ask. Not gonna be previous about it

If you level a lot faster, you're going to end up with all the abilities you'd ever want - the key is customisation, not skill gluttony. Choose upgrades carefully.

I've had a whizz round the wiki, most of what I cover is already on there. There's no new monsters/armour/potions etc, in the videos. I spend most of the time talking through skills then beating up Medreth and his gang. Wasn't max level in BG1 about level 8 or something, though? I've had a mess around with the max level abilities and some of them are superbly powerful - craft your party right and you'll be unstoppable. The slow pace of levelling at the moment seems balanced to provide a sense of achievement but also making sure the game still provides a challenge.

Sorry for the mass spam, that's all classes done now I think. Takeaway from this is that Monk, Druid, Cipher and Chanter (to some degree now) are still hilarilols. Also, you can summon a dragon.

To me the biggest issue with chanter is that some of the skills have been shifted up level - the chanter has always been fairly weak in combat imho.

You've done a really nice job there! I do like what you've done with the spells in the bottom right. Aside from that, the only thing I would say would be to make the buttons smaller to peel it back a bit more towards the edge.

Just recently in 434/5 - Chanter needed a nerf though. Absolutely, but compared to how quickly you acquire other skills in other classes, the chanter's pace of progression is cripplingly slow in game now. I thought it was bad and I insta-leveled from 1 to 12 in 2 minutes.

Not me. Also, when did chanter ability acquisition get nerfed into the ground? The fire weapon chant is now 3rd level and a lot of the other abilities have been massively upleveled. Only found this out when playing with the IE mod.
