  1. Yeah its double creepy because doesn't Eder turn down a male Watcher with the excuse of being straight? I don't know who the joke is on tbh - Eder, Aloth, Iselmyr, or the player. Probably all of them. Although there is torture, slavery, murder, and whatnot, which are generally accepted at "dark" themes. You have the option to sell Serafen to slavers, which nobody talks about. So where do we draw the line...
  2. That's actually pretty clever. I am glad there are different triggers other than rep gains and losses.
  3. I had Tekehu as Chanter/Druid so his anti-charm chant/spell helped, my Watcher with Mordwyn that provides resistance against charm, and Pallegina, who can hit Eder on the head and remove it.
  4. Yeah for someone who loved everything bounty hunter Mako was very un-bounty huntish, especially if you play evil. Also another manic pixie :/ Meh, I don't feel pity for Iselmyr. She had her life and her chance, it is Aloth's body now and Aloth's head regardless of whether you like him or not, and not his fault that his father was an ass that caused this. So no, my Watcher wouldn't want someone else taking over her head, and neither would she wish it on anyone, friend or foe. Remember that old whatshisname watcher? The same thing should have happened to our Watcher except it was decided against. I bet if it did people would have been far more sympathetic to Aloth.
  5. I think there are flirts which are natural parts of her dialogue regardless whether you romance her or not, and then there is the lock-in conversation where she tells you she likes you. Or something...
  6. I think Eder-Iselmyr is very sick, I am glad it didn't fire on my pt. Aloth has someone else in his head, another person, and that person takes control over his mind and makes him do things he would not do. And Eder in his stupidity doesn't see it. The worst thing you can have is something else taking over your mind, its like mental slavery or worse. I know we are talking about pixels here, but I find the concept abhorrent. Its not funny, its not clever, its not innocent, its just plain bad. Lol I am actually in the minority but I did like Skadge, even tho my BH was light-side. He was funny. especially when he made you a honorary gang boss or something. Now Mako on the other hand was annoying (please don't shoot me )
  7. I thought BSN in general was a corrupted place. Glad they shut it down tbh, it was unhealthy. More unhealthier for the devs who had to read those insane rants. I am with you on Eder
  8. Xoti can end up with Maia actually. Its the case that devs were talking about when they said companions could develop relationships between themselves. But from what I understand the Watcher is always a priority when it comes to romance. There is no way to mess it up unless you outright tell them to stop bothering you, then the option is closed and companion relationships kick in.
  9. Honestly they are a bit crazy, anyone associated with Woedica and wants to kill for a 100 year old grudge is insane in my book. Also they have that neat Woedica hood with mask. So idk why you'd want to spare them.
  10. Seems like no. I never fought him, just managed to convince him from the start that I am a Watcher and I know what I am doing.
  11. From what I understand Xoti's lock-in comes after you do her quest, either the part where she visits the tree, or after you find a way to free souls from her lantern. I had her initiate a dialogue (when I wasnt locked-in with others) at one of those points, but I don't remember which one. You do have the option to ask her about her Eder infatuation and she responds with something like "its not the same with you" or some such hogwash. You're only locked out if you pursue someone else. No, there is no romance between them. Eder gets no love in this game remember? They just end up good friends. (which I still wonder why we even needed that information in the first place, but whatever)
  12. Berath hands down. But all things related to her in the endings are so depressing I am completely turned off from supporting her/him/it.
  13. I found the ship north of Ori o Koki island. I did Hasongo before that and at one point had a conversation with Aloth where he told me about Leaden Key activities in the region. I think it triggers after Hasongo, or something.
  14. You can also convince the dragon so that you could siphon part of its soul into the guild and then let it go, that way you get the best of both worlds. The guild remains strong as that part of dragon's soul feeds its power for years to come, and the dragon is free and will be able to help you in the future. I don't remember what it requires but my Arcana and Metaphysics were REALLY high. Yeah I did it. I don't remember the requirements, but I think Metaphysics has to be super high. I *think* you have to read his soul first, and then with high Metaphysics figure out that you can simply channel part of it into the wards and let the dragon go. Then convince the dragon of it and perform the deed.
  15. Unless you're in Baldur's Gate. Then you just take momma with you and make her fight demon princes and demigods with a baby in her backpack.
  16. I think the real problem here is the narrative. While its great to have rp options, having kids is probably the most ridiculous one because it is extremely difficult to account for and write in, if you plan to continue the story in future games. So having children, even Vela, is presented as not a very smart option. My Watcher didn't want to be a great adventurer either. She is a free spirit who dislikes people and civilization, loves to hunt with her wolf, and hates being tied down to anything. As soon as she got her sanity back, she threw everything and left by herself. She couldn't give two figs about Caed Nua. But the narrative forces you to be Lady/Lord of the keep and stay there for whooping 5 years. My Watcher would never stay in the Keep, it is too restricting for her. If it was up to me, she would have been in Ixamitl plains by then, or Livings Lands, stalking prey and exploring new horizons. For every person who wants kids and family for rp reasons, there is someone who just wants to say "**** it, im out" also for rp. You can't account for everything and have to write what makes sense, and a certain type of character that makes sense. So we get something in the middle. (kids would probably only make sense if it was the last game in the series, but we are just starting so...)
  17. the 1st one? Ohhh dont forget the G3 mods for it... Finished the first one and continuing in BGII. Yeah I always play with full interaction expansions. The games feel much emptier without them.
  18. I did have the urges too, but pixelated dry humping really puts me off. I am currently on Badur's Gate trip, harrassing whoever I can through the mods. Just raise their dispositions, sit back, and enjoy the show
  19. Except ghosts don't require any physical maintenance. I agree that having hoards of pets is a bit weird lol but still wouldn't trade my cone cat for anything, or Nemnok, or Concelhaut. Taking an infant into the battlefield is wrong though as it requires you to be a full parent. Feeding a baby and changing its diapers is not feeding a cat. Its not supposed to be a toy, but we do kind of treat it as one. But then the argument goes - its a video game so everything works, I suppose, you can't argue with that.
  20. Didn't we also have to kill an innocent good guy for Vela? So its like the worst decision possible. I never took her in the previous playthrouhgs. The only reason I am taking her now is because Deadfire forced my hand by making her adorable. Yeah and Eder pokes you in the beginning when you wake up. I meant player-initiated physical interactions. There are none with non-romance companions. You can't take Pallegina's hand any more than you can take Eder's, but you can interact with Xoti, Aloth, Tekehu, and I think Maia.
