There's a good selection of portraits here. I got a good 20ish in the game's style. Playing with these as my characters.

I both love and hate it.. I love my old stuff and hate replacing it, but then I love new stuff too.. Life is hard in the 1st world man..

Buying a lot of new stuff.. graphic card, psu, mobile phone, new bed, clothes etc - got a nice influx of cash and my old stuff was starting to get a little too worn with age.

Really liking the Nexus 10, it's a great allrounder - but I gotta say - the Nvidia Shield series is looking mighty tempting for a potential future upgrade. The prospect of being able to stream all of my gaming, even when I'm cross country sounds awfully awesome.

How is the power consumption of that? I was thinking about doing crossfire with my 280x.

Which is why many people would love to see more cooperation between Obsidian and Bethesda - both struggle with what the other is great at.

I really like PoE it's the only grind game I've ever enjoyed besides Borderlands .. So for I have a Spectral Throw Scion, a Fire Paladin and a dual wielding Ranger - pretty standard, but they are fun. Thinking of building a mage Scion with a beefed Guardian as minion. Haven't gotten around to trying Forsaken Masters, but the addition of being able to build a sort of base sounds awesome.

I've had a few rage quits when the game got annoyingly difficult.. Like 3 misses with +70% to hit and then 2 jams, causing me to lose - but that reminds me of the good old days and I feel all the more awesome when I actually complete a level now. Guess we're all just masochists...

This is the risk for all investors, something many gamers were shielded from (and complained about) when huge publishers were the ones taking the risks. No wonder the only make safe clones eh? When people are that butthurt over 20$ imagine how it must feel to potentially lose millions.

This is something I always disliked about EU. They are fixing it somewhat in the new expansion apperantly. Where a rebellion will deplete unrest, as the angry peasants are going to war. Making multiple huge and continous rebellions much less likley.

Pretty hard game, but so far fun enough to keep my going even after getting my muffin handed to me by radiation, raiders and killer tomatoes.

Old Thread here. I don't think he said 'skill.' I think he said 'maintenance.' Fighters are lower-maintenance than, say, wizards, meaning you can basically park them and have them auto-attack, and they'll mostly do fine. Your totally right on that one. with up to 6 party members you don't want to have to micro manage every single one of them, or at least most people wont.

It's made to simulate that in real life there were checks and balances that the game can't reproduce. You also need a core on the province you wish to take, otherwise it's not easy to integrate into the realm. Ask for deals less than 100% each time and it will eventually force them to accept. As their stability takes a dive each time.. In the end you are hurting them a lot by offering deals they are not accepting, making it easier to win the next war. EU is about being patient If this annoys you however, there were several mods for EU3 that removed these features - I'm sure there are for EU4 too.

At the risk of sounding like a troll....are you guys trolls?

We're all Cant's alts. If I remember correctly.. -
Very, you control a dynasty instead of a country - it begins off as a feudalism simulator rather than a country. You then move closer and closer to a typical EU'ish game as you increase your crown authority and countries starts forming rather than individual dynasties. It has been described as a strategic soap opera by some fans, because funny stories play out and you get a lot more immersed than in a typical EU game. In my recent game, my characters father had an affair with my wife, resulting in a son.. Which made everything very complicated as you can imagine. Soon after a small war broke out over succession rights, leaving my character and his rightful heir and son the sole survivors of the dynasty. For a fun example (albeit quite a long read) this story sums up the game and an easter egg quite nicely.

It's their way of telling you that you should play Crusader Kings 2 first and then import a save where the ERE controls all of Europe. Exactly what I'm doing right now

The notion of "You have nothing to fear, if you haven't done anything wrong" is a very dangerous approach to civil liberties imo. Police officers are there to serve the public first and foremost - something often forgotten when they indirectly break the laws they are asked to enforce. As far as I understand (and I'm by no means any sort of authority on this so I defer to the members here who actually have legal training and experience) There is no "Stop and Identity" in California, so the officer in question had to have a very reasonable suspicion to ask for ID - and even then, cannot take the ID, only see it. You are allowed to protest that they want to take your ID, because that's illegal - and of course a person feeling violated will be agitated - but when is it simply agitation that your rights are being violated or 'psychologically unstable behaviour'? Edit: I'm under the firm belief that officers should of course be allowed to screw up, but should also stand up to that fact when they do. It seems, as a laymen, that they are all too often covering each other and bending the rules when questioned about the validity of their actions.

Ordered my ticket to Morocco, me and a buddy will be going there over Christmas and New Years eve, 22 days in total. I have a feeling this is going to be a fun adventure.

Yep, you can always count on Europe to go racist when there's a crisis..

TA was pretty awesome actually, I could forgive the formula due to the awesome setting... And Big Bertha - as a defensive player, those were sooo much fun.
