Never played it, but that does sound like a failed approach - although an awesome plot twist. I think Half Life 2 made a much stronger approach here, when you came into the Citadel in City 17. -
The Command & Conquer style games never really caught my interest - not even the SP campaign. Although I did have limited fun playing 3v1 against a really good player. The Total War series did indeed loose steam after Empire, incidentally also when they dropped modding support. Which I think is basically the reason people don't seem to like their games beyond a playthrough or 2 anymore. Vanilla RTW or MTW2 isn't particularly good either, CA made some great base games that the community build some awesome games on. Which is why I almost exclusively play Paradox titles these days. They actively mod their games themselves too and create unofficial mod/patches like Sawyer did.. I love coming back to a game 6 years later and find mods that have expanded it way beyond what it originally was. This has even made me buy several copies in case the old got damaged/lost - something I would never do with unmoddable games.

Not a good collection though, there are some really great reviews. Especially for some of the Indie games - Rust and DayZ in particular.

Yeah it can be a pretty uneventful game if you sit tight and do your duty. I'm going to be playing as Byzantine Duke, take control, try to take Africa + the orient and then convert to EU4, so I have a good game ready for the Halloween sale.

I'm assuming most of those who truly feel that, may have been abused in some fashion (by men or women), they are simply echoing that pain and directing it towards all men.. In short, no they don't realize it, their judgment is clouded by that anger. That being said, I doubt that kind of rhetoric carries any weight beyond equally angry people.
I'm way over in Copenhagen, Aarhus is like .. 200 km away or something! If you come to CPH by any chance however I'd be more than happy to show you around. As for tips, get to know Danes now. When the colder months comes around (which will feel like early spring for you I imagine) we become asocial shut-ins. edit: There's barely a million in Copenhagen and less than 400.000 in the Aarhus municipal... and not many smokers any more either, we all went healthy.. even I quit!

There is and they do.. Xcom Enemy Unkown/Within is the AAA version of Xenonauts.. For Zomboid you have titles like Dead Rising/Island. Sins of Solar Empire to Distant Worlds. Mount and Blade however doesn't really have an equivalent though, true enough.
As I've gotten older I've enjoyed the flawed diamonds a lot more than the polished ones. When I can sense the love for the game, then I'm almost always a fan... and often I'd love to love AAA titles, but with a lot of the bigger titles from the companies that shoot out games in a steady stream - you can just feel the soullessness underneath the mechanics. So these days I'd much rather play Mount and Blade, Distant Worlds, Xenonauts and Project Zomboid than their AAA equivalents.
Of course, leaked nudes have been around since mainstream photography though... Now I can totally forgive a 30+ year old, that didn't necessarily grow up with the internet. But the <25 year old I study/hang out and talk to know more about the net than me. So these girls most being under 30 and almost all using twitter, reddit, blogs, facebook etc. really should know better imo. The hackers are still bloody creeps though.. as is most of the Internet's reaction.
