There was a drop in empathy 5 months after it was created? Or did you mean carried over from BIS?

I'd have to say Volo mixed with Captain Planet. Just for the chaos of it.

Dev sends death threat to Valve CEO, has game removed from STEAM

The point was, that in an enviroment were it is expected, like among friends or peers - it will obviously not cause any problems. It is however not advisable (or socially expected) to threaten people's lives over Twitter or 'online public'. -

Group Charisma affects whether certain NPCs will join you, so dumping that will have consequences. But yeah, as it stands you pretty much need to dump one stat (often luck) as anything less than 3-4 skills per level and 8+ in initiative will make the game very hard in certain areas.

Gotta agree with Enoch. Also, we have to treat these kinda outbursts seriously, people need to learn that being angry isn't a free pass for this kind of behavior. Saying your gonna kill someone is not "just a healthy outlet" that's a serious statement. That being said his anger was justified, he just squandered it by being an idiot. -
Distant Worlds with the Picard Era mod, playing as the Federation. Starting off what is basically in the Kirk era, "history" repeated itself itself. A semi war (trade war really) erupted with the Klingon Empire after they blockaded one of my worlds. The Birds of Prey are pretty hard to kill, but I'm holding my ground. Thinking about giving them the colony in question though. As I have discovered the Romulans and I'm betting they are gonna take their chances with my unprotected borders.

I think we should add 3 years for "crimes against humanity" for robbing us of more of this: Bad humor aside - a tragic case and I do think it's a fair verdict too. It does smelll fishy though, but without proof.. eh..

Happiest Countries in the World proves Western Ideology Works

My biggest grief is that these reports always want to link economical prosperity to happiness on a sort of 1 to 1. Happiness to me is not in any fashion linked to economics or money, something that thankfully seems self evident to most of us. Why so many choose to chase the 'unhappiness of economic abundance' still amazes me, but I guess delayed gratification that never materializes (as economic doctrine is "nothing is ever enough") is a strong motivator. Much like religious emotional flagellation for "base desires". edit: well actually that makes a lot of sense now that I think of it. It's an endless source of self discipline and drive. You're never rid of desires and you can never have enough. Perhaps simply being happy doesn't get you out of bed in the morning? -
Indeed, 'cause he obviously is very talented and it would be pretty awesome to have him churn out good strategy games in intervals.

Judging from the gameplay video and his talents in AI coding I'd say it's probably gonna be a good game. I doubt he'll be able to handle that success very well though, he is convinced he singlehandedly saved Creative Assembly and the Total War series with his mods. I'm guessing he'll be completely immune to any criticism and run his series into the ground with his arrogance in less than 3 games.

Yeah me too, sore throat, head numbness and joint pains. Gotta love autumn. Edit: speaking of autumn, we had a crazy sundown the other day. Suddenly the buildings across from me turned bright red and then moved through the light spectrum until everything was deep purple and then blue. Wish I had taken a video or pictures, it was stunning.

Some guy animated parts of the old BBC radio play of Hitchiker's Guide of the Galaxy and doing a pretty fine job of it I might add.

People are responding to words like (paraphrasing) "inherently superior" and "inadmissible". I can say, coming from nr 1 on that list, that should you ask Danes (or any Scandinavian) in the winter rather than spring/summer - we'd most likely drop a few ranks. Trust in government is obviously higher in social democracies that work, so no wonder we are at the top in that particular question - but does that mean we are happier than Americans, who basically despise their government? It's also interesting that, as of 2011 - nearly 450.000, out of 5 million inhabitants, are on antidepressants here. While an additional 200.000 have bought it at least 1 time. (source in Danish) -
From Imgur "Isn't it great when video games let you do something you can't do in real life?" I laughed a little too hard..

I kept thinking it was Tim Schafer and thought he sounded so young hah. At the Gates looks really cool actually, I'll definitely keep my eyes on it. I like the King of Dragon Pass vibe.

I find the fear of that thing entirely misplaced - but smart to place it near the Danish capital and not your own

Nothing nasty about it, I find endless talking about any subject dreary too - especially topics that have no relevance to anyone but the speaker. In cases like that, the parents just need to be reminded that they are more than their kids, for their own sake.
