  1. I hope that lady get's totally shunned by the entire society she lives in! I mean for ***** sake .. that just ****** me off!
  2. ^ you get a much higher score if it's spread 24 .. which most old tests use! and I've had my results go from 111 to 153 (on same spread tests).. so it really depends on alot of circumstances!
  3. no it's still a childrens story .. but since it was written in 1837 you can imagine it's a little heavy on Christian morale! in all honesty, it's fundamentally the same story as the Disney version .. her saving the Prince, wanting to be human because she loves him, and giving her voice to get a pair of legs (although in this story each time she walks it is like stepping on a thousands razors) .. but where it differs is that the prince does not love her back, but marries a princess from another kingdom (one he believed saved him instead of the mermaid).. and this in turn kills the mermaid, because if he married another she would die .. she is then transformed into a spirit of the wind, which can earn a soul by doing good for humanity in 300 years .. so it's all about how you get to heaven, how you must put all personal desires aside to do good .. and how one should not desire for things that is far away from your heart .. at least in my interpretation! http://hca.gilead.org.il/li_merma.html - English version ..
  4. hmm I remember playing Freespace 1 .. then 2 came out and it was the best game I ever played (back then), ended in a TOTAL cliffhanger .. but a third was never made .. that was the darkest day in gaming for me .. I still have scars on my soul .. the story was so great, but it was like Star Wars without "Return of the Jedi" to finish the saga .. even if it had been crappy it should still be there!
  5. haha as long as the word Gothic is used you are a fan! but true however .. the digger looks very gothic indeed! so the 'feel' of the picture is right on the mark, but it's looks a little too unfinished for me ..
  6. ^ sure Metalboy .. try decaf next time! okay? .. and Percival, good point .. still my (slightly exaggerated) point was, that if they need to make 10+ patches they are doing something wrong and not fixing it properly ..
  7. The strange thing is that I know more about European and American monuments (and probably history) than Danish! + anyone with a rudimentary grasp of American history knows the "founding fathers"! and Mount Rushmore is a pretty well known monument! and the statue in Copenhagen is originally enough called "The Little Mermaid" .. after the famous story of the danish author Hans Christian Andersen .. (and no it's nothing like the Disney version)
  8. the very first and the last one are the only ones I like .. shadows and general shapes are great in the frontal face and same goes for the Wizard, + good colouring!
  9. as I wrote: unbalanced/buggy Patches is a sign that a game is unbalanced or buggy (or missing some vital pieces), there's no disputing that .. So, if a game recieves - say 10 patches, it could be a sign that the developers aren't exaclty the best at creating the needed balance/removing bugs etc .. but all due respect for them wanting to correct it! of course .. Now I'm not saying patches are a completly bad thing! it's great that the developers are actually taking an interest in the players needs!! but I would rather just have a perfect game to begin with than patching it 40+ times, because the games was rushed/undone .. whatever ..
  10. I didn't mean that addiction is worse than violence in general .. but worse than violence in games! a dependence, on games, implies that you don't have time to (or won't spend time on) do(ing) anything else, that you use most of your time playing, and thereby miss out on your actual life .. just playing from time to time and still being able to live a perfectly normal life hardly categorizes you as an addicted gamer! It's a serious affliction imo .. and one that should recieve the same attention as any other addiction! since any obsession leads to a greater need, which in turn leads to far worse ramifications ..
  11. watch the classic "A Clockwork Orange" by Stanley Kubrick
  12. yes .. tic-tac-toe (did a search) .. our name makes more sense! "Kryds (cross) og Bolle (bun or circle)" where 'bolle' also means to f*** .. so that adds an extra dimension to the game .. hehe
  13. ^ I would guess you are referring to Mount Rushmore? the faces are: Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln
  14. well it still only measures your logic and ability to recognize patterns .. so all other kinds are neglected .. if he's simply quick to grasp a situation and/r can think extremely fast, but not particularly logical, he will probably only score an average on this test ..
  15. hah .. oh I remember those times were I would draw like a thousand stickmen during a week with a buddy from school (would completly fill an A3 page in a day).. never took it that far though! played alot of 3d .. hmm .. called "crosses and cirkels X/O" in danish ... three in a row .. anyway .. it actually sounds quite fun that game of yours! :D
  16. true .. at least the developers should be commended for bothering to make patches in the first place! but I was just saying that it's not always a good sign that a game has 140 patches!
  17. no no Alex is great .. just the neo-nazi remark was funny, when you have an avatar of a guy who's favorite activities include a bit of the good old ultra-violence, rape and Ludwig Van ..
  18. or suffering from a severe case of "Leonardo Da Vinci" for that matter!
  19. I have been living in a state of near death coma since I learned it would be released in february .. so I think I can wait a few days more .. this reality is really neat ..
  20. well if everyone posted screenshots this thread would be kinda drowned .. but I don't think people would lie about scoring 100-120 etc .. but those saying "weeh ey scrode 180 I ruck!" might .. (or just suffer from a rather severe case of dyslexia of course)
  21. I think every roleplaying geek has wondered what his/hers own stats are .. ^_^ We had a good discussion about violence in games some time ago .. http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=27969&hl= My main problem is addiction to VG .. because that is more serious than violence imo!
  22. well colours don't play a part of the test .. I'm colorblind for instance! what it measures is your ability to recognize patterns, and how fast you do it, then you get you IQ (read logic/pattern finding) score based on correct answers and time..
  23. well if I said that I would be calling myself stupid too .. so I won't do that! no worry " no they are not all like that .. most are math related questions or tricky riddles .. but since there are alot of different people, from different nationalities, here I decided to use one who only had symbols and no text!
  24. number of patches just show how unbalanced/buggy a game was to being with ..
