  1. it fits better with the cowboy theme of NV, but burning someone alive and dumping them in the Colorado River seems more like what Caesar would do. Also - I'm very much looking forward to this.. I didn't really like Dead Money as my head blew up way too often.
  2. The world (and very much the Middle East) is better off without him.. I just wish that we actually stood for all the good we say we do - because then our reason for hunting him would be just. As it stands it's petty revenge, which is not very noble. Understandable though..
  3. True, as long as you are on the winning team.
  4. Take a long break - you've probably played too much the months prior? or you have some other priorities that are taking up your mind. Gaming is about having fun, if you aren't then don't play.
  5. Unfortunately it's very imbalanced when the US gets a chopper.. A good crew can destroy the entire VC army.
  6. All right, I think this thread has served it's purpose then.
  7. Whether or not this poster is an alt or not isn't really relevant to the topic.. You can send PMs to Dynamo if you wish to discuss it - otherwise please refrain from derailment.
  8. They should make a film based on real Norse mythology - the old stories are much better than anything a modern Hollywood writer can create. Plus they are violent, sexual and immature enough for todays audience. Ragnarok on the big screen would be awesome..
  9. Right you are.. please refrain from posting links to nudity.. Luckily youtube requires you to have an account and verify your age before you can view it, so I think we can allow this.
  10. That would've been nice.
  11. Well, Double Dragon was way better in the old arcade version, the NES and SNES versions weren't that good (and looked kinda crappy).
  12. My favourites are definitely the Turtles games and Mario 1-3. I have a weakness for Defender of The Crown, I love that old turnbased strategy. I wish I'd kept my Amiga 500, there were some pretty great games on that machine.
  13. I was browsing for old NES games when I stumbled upon this website.. I think it's legal, at least as far as I've been able to tell. But it allows you to play all your old favorites - I just had a blast playing Turtles 2, which I lost a few years back.. I'd never heard of this site, so if there are any NES fans out there I thought I should share..
  14. I've been playing the original Fallout for the first time and decided to see some of the films that inspired the game.. so I've watched the Mad Max trilogy, they are pretty decent, and A boy and his dog, which was quite surreal.
  15. But.. It's soooo fluffyy!!!
  16. I for one thinks it's a shame that more games aren't coop or has coop as a feature. I'm cool with playing on my own, but if I have to have an AI character next to me all the game - why not allow this character to be played by a friend.
  17. I'm not sure Nihilus and Sion are better than Malak. Maybe not in execution, but the idea was infinitely more interesting than Malak.. Hunger, Pain and Betrayal were your enemies in K2 (sounds almost like an old Norse myth actually) whereas brutal-but-ultimately-short-sighted prot
  18. The situation is a little more complex than just murdering Somalis.. It would be preferable if we could destroy the reason for them turning to piracy.
  19. I love how dramatic British radio often is. but yes, it's very strange that these sea-gangsters are so effective - it really shows how ineffictive classic military is against these kinds of attacks (like the guerillas in South America and the Naxalite in India).
  20. I don't know why, but I read this with a slightly threatening tone. But yes, it would make sense.
  21. I've only read The Handmaid's Tale, and that was awesome. I'm assuming you've read other books of hers though. No, I've actually only just heard of her, although I did hear that The Year Of The Flood was a sort of 'unofficial' sequel to The Handmaid's Tale. No one I know have read any of her books, so I thought I would get the low-down here before spending my mulahs.
  22. Has anyone read Margaret Atwood's The Year Of The Flood?
  23. What mods you used with NV? In my opinion it's a great game straight out the package and the only mod I'm planning to use on my next game is some UI mod, and maybe some graphical improvements. Unlike say Oblivion that needs a truckload of mods before I could enjoy it. I have over 30+ mods installed with everything from simple terrain fixes to advanced game altering mechanics. Here are some of the most popular. Enhanced blood textures (which make blood splatter look quite realistic) Electro City (which combined with darker nights make the wasteland a cool place to exlpore) Neveda Skies (adds sand/electric/radioactic and thunder -storms, and makes the sky look truely beautiful - it also makes NPCs run for cover when storms come) Populated Casinos (which makes the Strip come alive) Realistic Portable Tent (My favorite - it adds a personal tent that takes some time to set up, you decide how long, which is worn like a backpack) Project Nevada (which makes helmets, glasses and headgear restrict or enhance your sight and gives the game a more FPS feel with a reactive crosshair) More Perks (which adds a few dozen new perks that make sense within the setting) Bounty Hunter (fully voiced quests where you hunt down some of the worst scums of the Wasteland) Real Time Settler (allows you to build your own village, where you scavenge for resources, cut down trees etc and try to keep order and food production high) All in all I try to choose mods that make sense to the setting instead of those that add Space Marines and naked foxes.
  24. I'm actually starting to get excited.. mostly because, as Enoch said, mods can really save a game these days.. and F3/FO:NV was pretty good after applying a generous amount of mods. I'll continue to buy Beth games as long as they allow the modders access to their tools.
  25. Actually I've been playing through FO:NV now and I've noticed how NPCs are beginning to react to my fame. There are some hiccups here and there, but I actually think Obz implemented this fame system pretty well.
