  1. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...5062300783.html I'm pretty interested in what people think about these rulings, and if legislation has been passed in European countries that allow for the same. I don't believe that this is an accurate interpretation of the law, and is essentially the Supreme court writting their own laws, or stalling the execution of the law for corporate interest. The biggest problem with this ruling is that it will almost certainly be "turned over" on appeal oneday, but even so in the American justice system these things are heavily in favor of anyone who can hire countless lawyers to file a neverending stream of "motions" to bog down court proceedings. Another question I would ask is: Did the Supreme Court rule in favor of this knowing that this is essentially unconstitutional, but also that the "damage" would be done before anything could change? Also there was some other unfair ruling against filesharing or something with the whatnot.
  2. ^^Same here, it will probaly about a year before I even consider buying one or the other, in the mean time, I'll probaly invest in a better computer
  3. Clones vs. Robots? I think we're all forgetting about cyborgs here
  4. She had a mustache when he last saw her, so he didn't recognize her without it in the holorecording. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe you're on to something, or not.
  5. Nick Drake - Been Smoking Too Long
  6. My favorite game of all time is easily d1ck or thumb. My friend Bethany and I invented this game when it iced over real bad and I couldn't leave her house for two days. Its real simple to play, one contestant lays on their back, player 1, preferably in a bed. Its not mandatory for this person to be female, but if not then the game will almost certainly go too short or way too long. Anyway then the second person, player 2, lies on their side, facing the other contestant. This is where the game really takes off, then player 2 jabs their choice of appendages into the hip of player 1. Player 1 then has to guess which one it is. There are alot ways to "fool" your opponent as player 2, but its important just to be direct. This is a great game and I hope all of you will oneday get a chance to play it yourselves.
  7. Is he higher or lower on the marshmellow pecking order than Mr Staypuft? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Lower
  8. I take it you were a Sting fan then I'm reading Coming Up for Air by George Orwell
  9. ^^but you'd only say that if you were looing at it from an EU perspective. As far as the movies go Darth Bane is one of the marshmellow shapes in Geonesian Charms, a popular kids breakfast
  10. I don't really have a favorite gun, but I do have a couple I guess I'm sort of partial to. My father gave me a beretta 9mm when I completed the tests to carry a concealed handgun. Its a really nice pistol, and I use it every couple of months at the range, but I never carry it. I also have a rifle that my uncle made by hand, except the actual rifling in the barrell. I did a bit of "competition shooting with it as a kid, but later got into archery.
  11. Someone probaly would have noticed if those sith had huge horns, and might have even said, "The Sith who came to us, the ones with the big horns...........
  12. Or more so they don't both exist in the same continuum. The Kotor Republic is that of the EU, a timeline that includes the movie as its linchpin, but really can go into drastically stupid directions from there. Then theres the movies, and nothing that has happened in the EU has happened in the movies. Its like a different plane of star wars reality.
  13. I have yet not to cringe at the mention of the "True Sith". I'm not a fan of the EU, but it seems quite clear what happened to those who are of the Sith Race. The Death of the Force was total cheese. The game had atmosphere, but lacked depth.
  14. and this makes it all lose it's epic feel. For 2 games the True Sith have been hinted at, and Kreia implies a GREAT WAR with them. Not some small terrorist organization. Kreia wasn't lieing, and a writer will make sure of that. What she said was meant to give a hint for the last game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nice conjecture. I don't really remember anything mentioned in K1 about the possibility of the "True Sith", its stupidity seems limited to only the ramblings of an Old Women who probaly wants just to feel important one more time before she dies.
  15. Well, one of the many problems with what you two are saying, is that K3 would have to be able to "stand alone" without alienating new customers. Having to "pick up" previous characters is a lamer approach in the first place, added with the fact that more than likely that would not be too well recieved by new customers, and blamo... No Revan. Plus no one really said that the "True Sith" are an actual group or anything really. It could be that the "True Sith" is just knowledge Revan sought to protect, and Kreia was just taking "liberties' with the truth. In any case, it doesn't matter, No Revan....nope, nada. And as the Exiles little saga is over he/she just isn't very interesting anyway, major failure on Obsidian's part there. So what should we do? O.K., our main protagonist is working in a potato chip factory on Corellia or where ever. They quickly learn that they have the ability to "know" if a potato will become regular or sour cream and onion before it happens. They happen to mention this to a co-worker, mysteriously co-worker named, Darth Allen. Then bam....he comes at you with his electronic potato peeler, that resembles a lightsaber (ofcourse your potato peeler has a corosis weave that allows for lightsaber sparring and it never needs sharpening), you defend yourself and manage to escape where you stow away on a potato freighter, where you meet up with a quirky astromech droid navigator. Adventure ensues as you claim your rightful place as either savior or conqueror of the galaxy
  16. Just a bit of curiousity here, I know when Kreia dies she mentions that your "friends" are the lost jedi in the LS ending, what does she say about them in the DS ending?
  17. That's a pretty crappy opinion
  18. It can't be worse then when fox passed on Heat Vision and Jack
  19. Ya atleast in the first game you sortof had a reason to have a limited area to work with, the force guiding you and all, in K2 I just felt sorta of boxed in, esp. on Datoonie, which was about half the size, and poorly done to boot.
  20. Wut? Where did you acquire that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A friend's ex-boyfriend works at WilliamStreet doing art for "bumps" or something, and he sends her stuff all the time. Oh, btw, Gorillaz Feel Good Inc.
  21. Given how limited an area we have had to deal wih on planets, Coruscant would be horribly small for a planet wide metropolis, much the same failing Nar Shadar or whatever had
  22. No I got a bronze one in a lightsaber that Master Vrook gave me after completing Datoonie
  23. I think its called Everlong, which is a pretty old song. I don't watch much MTV either, but a gazillion, thats a lot, but is it more then a kazillion? I've seen alot of music videos, the tvs at the food bank I've been volunteering at plays it nonstop. Why they have cable, I'll never know
  24. I'm sorry jags, your image doesn't show up. "I think the hands are fine due to the perspective." I wasn't being critical, I like Aimo's art, in fact I really like it. I was just reminded of this video where David Groel uses giant hands to defeat his enemies and answer giant phones.
  25. Atton has really big hands Like in that Foo Fighters video
