Meh, the world has moved on from Ghostbusters. We need another like we need another Spiderman reboot.
-
Not really believable that you would be driving around liberating outposts though. Or maybe they will just be a problem with the cell towers so you can't call the FBI and have the tables turned the next day, all of them, conveniently, and it all turns into The Seven Samurai. A solar storm or something, the cities are rioting, that could work.
-
Yup. Instead of American frat boy goes to Laos or whatever it's American frat boy drives out to the sticks. Aaand there will radio towers and cougars and black bears and whatever else they can cram in there. A Jared Leto-ish preacher bad guy by the look of things, who is going to be overly familiar with the protagonist for no reason.

Easy, university education - tested, check on the work experience where applicable, knowledge of the language - tested, money of at least 20k EUR/USD or a bank guarantee for this amount. Does not get right to import other members of the family until 5 year probation is done and the person is working in an average pay salary area with no long gaps of unregistered work/unemployment (3+months). EZ - we have enough bumps to cover minimum wage jobs. Your criteria does not include the Manchester attacker who was born in the UK and a citizen. So, not so easy.
-
How do you define that exactly. Does not sound easy at all.
-
It could not. All it really takes is the will to carry out an attack. Sooner or later one will succeed in avoiding detection.

'Hello sir, are you a muslim ? You know the ones we are deporting en masse rigth now. No you say, well carry on then'

I reiterate : the dispassionate analysis.
-
Although this is genuinely terrifying, the amount of people who get hurt or killed by terrorist attacks is really quite minuscule. As they say, doing nothing is the same as doing something. The dispassionate analysis really calls for doing nothing that is not already being done.

mmm... Just another entry into the already overpopulated culturewar™ videos on youtube. He lost me when he started to go 'the left is such and such and so on'. Meaningless dribble. The left has co-opted science because of climate change deniers and creationists on the right. There is something to be said for insisting on empiricism, and if you have found people on the left who are not consistent, well then you can trump card them - But with science, not with a stupid youtube video.

Netflix to produce live-action The Witcher series

It's gets annoying when it's a checklist. Remember that uproar about Moses and white actors. It doesn't matter. Get the best actors. If Morgan Freeman wants to play Vesemir, whatever. As long as he does a good job. -

I kinda get why they would do that though. Imagine Jennifer Lopez is sponsored by a beauty brand of some sort. She is payed to promote it on social media. The brand becomes commonly associated with her. Now whatever appearance she makes, the late show, Jimmy Kimmel, whatever. Those broadcasting companies are now actively promoting Jennifer Lopez's beauty brand because of the heavy association between the two. That's why you need disclosure. -

A conflict of interest in the life or death decision of choosing the right moisturizer ? -
Alien Covenant. It's like one of the old TNG Data vs Lore episodes. It's great. Great to see HR Giger concept art revived. Same problem as Prometheus though. The movie doesn't spend the time to introduce the crew so when they start dying off one by one you don't really care. The Wagner was a bit too on the nose. A genius with a hatred for a race of people and so on.

I was 10. They were all Slann to me.

The term 'mainstream media' doesn't mean much anymore. Isn't it largely cable TV news outlets struggling for relevance, they are not quite competent enough to survive purely on the quality of their journalism, that's a rarity now surely, and they are not quite interesting enough on their own merits. So they create the story if it doesn't exist already. Lots of feigned outrage, that'll surely get them talking. News reporting is supposed to be dispassionate and accurate before it is anything else. The whole Russia thing only exists because it's such an obvious Republican weak spot. There is a lot to be gained from a Democrat position in steadily poking at that scab whenever the opportunity arises.

Slaan. Cool. I painted a Slann skirmisher troop armed with blowpipes when I was like 10.

Netflix to produce live-action The Witcher series

There should be lots of middle eastern roles right. I've always thought it rather ridiculous the way people focus on the race of the actor. I mean they are actors, they can pretend, so can the audience. The play is the thing and all that. Can a white man play Malcom X. Well, no. Probably not. Is race at the forefront of the Witcher material, yes, but it's non human vs human. that is the divide. You could throw in any race to play human parts. It wouldn't matter. -

Fantasy stuff with elves and Dwarves and such has never been done well on TV. I'm eager to see the attempt tho. -
Iirc my father had to wait two months to get his cataract surgery, my mother got her chemo for arthritis pretty quickly aswell. Also http://vantetider.se/Kontaktkort/Sveriges/SpecialiseradOperation/ Specialist surgery (Section "Hur länge har man väntat"=How long did they wait; Dagar=Days) http://vantetider.se/Kontaktkort/Sveriges/SpecialiseradBesok/ Specialist treatment The problem is that in the US there are too many people with their hands in the tin, people who have to find profit margins. Hospitals, insurance carriers, doctors, pharma companies. If you remove the profit incentive from hospitals and eliminate insurance carriers altogether there is just no way that the invisible hand of the market could manage anything like that effect. It's very common everywhere to suggest that government is hopelessly ineffective compared to how things are run by private businesses, and I'm sure that's true, but that can't make up for having a parasite in the system, namely the insurance industry. Think of all the payments that just go to line their pockets and buy no healthcare for anyone.
