That's pretty much what the trading card system is though, isn't it- a parallel system to the achievement one with a randomised generation event attached similar to loot boxes? Sell them, buy them, craft badges, inflate your epeen steam level etc and every time they're traded steam and the game's publisher get a cut. Why the hell would anyone want steam achievements though. The cards, you can trade them for in game stuff ? You buy stuff to be able to trade it for other stuff you want ?

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the (Obsidian) Forum

I don't know where that is. I feel like I should. -
Also, don't take advice from people who have just hit their heads kids.

No. I mean, head trauma held against looking like a dork. I'll take the head trauma.

Little known fact; Blue Power Ranger wears flipflops.

Didn't get his info.

Some parked idiot opened his door just as I biked past, I went flying and got a slight concussion a bruised knee and a smashed Ipad. I'm supposed to feel relieved that I got off with a few scratches. I suppose I am. Just annoyed that I didn't get him to pay for my Ipad, only found out later.

You would restrict their rights to bear arms? Gasp! If they bring their own and their own ammo they can keep them! But if it's "community" weapons and ammo and I'm the leader of that "community" then you better not be wasting my bullets! Seriously though, last night they pull up in front of the savior's compound and Negan walks right out with his whole command staff in the face of automatic weapons in covered fighting positions. He ought to know better than that! And why talk at all Rick? Assign three gunners for each target and it's all over. And then, Rick unloads a half a clip at 20 yards and hits nothing! Grrr! Bad marksmanship! But all in all is was a good show and a solid opening. If I can suspend disbelief in a world where zombies walk around I can look the other way on bad infantry tactics too. Part of the problem is in the GGI I think, they can't look convincing in a gun battle because all they have are plywood planes where structures are supposed to be. You would think old beat up cars and abandoned factories would not be hard to find. It's like they just have the actors go do their thing and think they can always fix it in post production. The show looks pretty bad in places as a result. Why exactly were they shooting out the windows. There was no one there to suppress.

Pondering activating my Netflix again just for that. How far along ?

Wick 2 is basically a revenge movie where you don't care about who lives and who dies. You gotta make me care, otherwise all the asplosions, all the headshots. It's all completely pointless. In Wick 1 Theon Grayjoy kicked a puppy to death. I could totally get behind him needing to die. -

I thought it was absolute ****, with good stunt work. I like how a bourbon, a rocket launcher, or a room for the night is all one gold coin. Everything is one gold coin. Better not buy too many sticks of gum Mr Wick. -
Well, it's not a bad deal. However, Origin's selection of games isn't all that great and at the end of the day, you're still limited by the amount of free time you have, which is what the deluge of games being published these days really compete for, rather than your money. I wouldn't be surprised if, taking into consideration the mean amount of hours of gaming per day of the average Origin user, they make more money per hour played with most titles (those which aren't AAA released in the last 3-6 months, and therefore aren't available by subscription) than they would offering them at an aggressive discount. Makes sense with all the pay to win/microtransaction malarkey they are up to though. They will give you cheap access and then dangle a bunch of extras in front of you. This car is only 500$, it's great. By the way, do you want windows with that.

I'm a Pirana Bytes kinda guy, sortof, within limits. How broken is it, is it worth full price.

Games so good it costs human misery to make them.

I think it's pretty straightforward, if you expect employees to work extra for long periods with no overtime you give them a piece of the action, stock options, a share in the profits. Otherwise you are exploiting them. Doesn't matter if they are picking up nickel in a scrapheap or making games.- 79 replies

Doesn't make you hallucinate though. Smoking too much and having a bad time is not the same thing, that's just a very common rookie mistake. I'm on Antibiotics right now, package says all sort of scary things like I can't drive, might cause nausea, hallucinations, delirium, hair loss. Kinda glad I'm almost done because my comb did come away with a lot of extra hair. Wasn't so bad otherwise. Like a free pass to be slightly stoned at work.

That's an unfortunate last name for a politician.

I've done it alone on tactician, the game is pretty easy. And the party of two Lone Wolves will just rip the content like a molten blade through the butter. Waiting for fixes to complete for honor. In the third patch they've done some poor decisions nerfing Act 2 experience, and now you are getting 0 exp for killing violate and vicious voidlings, but easily over 10k exp for mere exploration. That feels wrong... I got it on the first go. The secret is those massive cost AOE spells, blood storm, electrical storm or whatever they are called. If you got all the right quests done, they will have all have a source cost of 0. That way you just have to stay alive long enough for them to passively kill everything. I don't recommend going lone wolf. It get's too easy after a while and you miss out on party member quests.

If you want magical damage it's Intelligence and one or two other options, thieves get a single skill that benifits from Agility and damages magic armor, rangers have an elemental arrow ability, but it's not enough really. I wound up having four multi class characters and re-specing them constantly to find out what worked. The power gamer's choice will be all magic, since they can deal both physical and magical damage with necromancy, and summoning, simply because having a powerful summon, well, up to four really that can deal either physical or magical damage depending on what surface they are summoned on is a huge boon. Enemies have varied armor so having options is always better. I turn to walkthroughs if I get frustrated, no shame in that. Bloodmoon, you would have to get lucky to figure that one out on your first go. Similar quest near the end. You would be banging your head to figure out how to open specific doors without caving in and looking it up. Also, don't worry about maxing out a particular skill, the highest requirement is level 5 for any spell or skill and the extra damage payoff is very small for limiting yourself to only one or two and if you factor in cooldowns it's just unadvisable.

I'm not feeling the idea of spending a ****load on DLCs again. How different is the game, because it didn't feel like you got enough with your vanilla purchase last time. I mean there is inevitably going to be one for every race not encluded and you don't get units of renown either.

I dunno, maybe it was the editing but he had three 'big emotion' moments almost in succession and it seemed off. One long drawn out one for the reveal of the memory, a closeup for the cinematography and a freak out moment. It was so off tilt I was wondering if it was another memory, some kind of setup for later on. Not saying he did worse than Harrison Ford in the original though. Older Ford is a lot better. But yeah, generally speaking I was totally sold. I suppose the AI dimension was always coming, not enough to just do Terminator, man vs machine or synthetic. They were going to do Three life forms; Man vs synthetic vs AI. Except the AI waifu, charming as she was, didn't get to have much influence on events. Maybe if all three were in conflict it would have been too much Mass Effect/Deus Ex/Battlestar Gallactica. Did 'not Eldon Tyrell' remind anyone else of Illusive Man with all his talk of mankind dominating the stars. Post apocalyptic Vegas is never a bad choice, it even got a bit Mad Max in the sequence with the orphanage, a lot of thematic chance in scenery, I liked that. Blade Runner does not drive a ****ing Purgeot though. -

Just came back from the new Bladerunner. It's pretty good. Go see it in Imax though. -
Yeah, the first few bread and butter episodes after the pilot and intro episodes and they were, well, not very good. The pacing is off for Star Trek. Eye candy stops being interesting pretty quickly, you need good actors and you need Star Trek type things happening.
