  1. People used to die in droves because of defective gas heaters back in the day. Stay safe !
  2. I think I might actually be retarded. I chance met a former work colleague and I couldn't for the life of me remember her name. So I just gave her two thumbs up and smiled like a moron and got out of there. Why does this happen to me.
  3. Nioh. eeehhh. It's alright I suppose. I'm not a fan of so many moves being part of progression when there aren't very many to begin with. Stances are a dumb idea. Use combos instead. Maybe that's just the fighting game guy in me. Actual learning curve is just getting used to all the things that are a bit ass backwards. Other than that just spam quick attack like it was Dark Souls.
  4. I just use the same tiny logitech dongle that came with a mouse I don't even have anymore. It does keyboard, ps4 controller and headphones at the same time. I mean sometimes the audio starts to sputter with all that going on, but point being, don't bother with the PS4 dongle, anything using the default windows wireless driver works just fine and they are all dirt cheap.
  5. Managed to get the bluetooth to work again just fiddling around with the settings, Not my preference though, I need the bandwith for headphones and other stuff.
  6. You still need something called DS4windows, my experience has not been stellar. The cabled connection was a bit janky, the bluetooth worked fine, but now it's stopped working altogether. That said once it's up and running you can peruse steam menus with it, I assume things like the big picture and the VR equivalent. Supposedly Sony did a firmware update that makes the driver part of it plug and play, I read that somewhere, didn't work out of the box for me though and it won't unless yours is new, as in recently produced.
  7. Wasn't he the guy they put in charge of.the paid.mods for.skyrim.thing.
  8. Luckily I'm not the only one with that issue: I completely agree with this video, how games in general have moved, but also there are times where I like a little hand holding due to time constraints and in the witcher's case, some places not being named on the map and not being able to put your own points and notes on the map. The witcher sense thing continues after the white dots, it goes beyond just a complaint about the nature of quest markers. The quest design, main story and dialogue heavy stuff aside, gets samey and boring. Too many variations of the same thing. Fallout 4 is a more extreme example, that's why you don't want to do them, not because of the markers. Kill bandit leader x at coorinate y, recieve reward. Then do it 100 more times.
  9. I removed some gifs to keep things on track. pls don't make me shift through all those quote trees again.
  10. Yeah, so what about Photoshop, Zbrush, 3dsMax, Unreal Engline, that sort of thing. A lot of people use those on their regular desktop. Well, some anyway.
  11. Anybody else finding bitcoin modules plugged in and hidden away at work.
  12. https://www.origin.com/dnk/da-dk/store/origin-access So I was thinking wow look at all those cool old school titles. EA is buying rights for stuff to include in EA access ? Then I remembered. https://i.pinimg.com/236x/6e/78/6b/6e786b70125b72cead484247517e9635.jpg
  13. https://www.wired.com/2017/03/geeks-guide-the-expanse-2/ Why can't we ever have nice things. It's true though, it's the most serious attempt at sci fi series that has ever existed.
  14. I just bought a Dual Shock 4 for use with my PC. The difference from an xbox controller is minimal really, but since I have to use software to get it to emulate an Xbox controller that also means that I can independently remap all the keys and even store macros. It suffers greatly from the 'put LEDs everywhere syndrome' though, if you are playing with the lights low it's like an epileptic disco ball. Blink yellow now because you are holding down the run button, blink red now because the controller is rumbling, blue now because you are breathing air... But hey, now I have two controllers, so fighting game time.
  15. Doesn't seem like there is any more learning curve to go and I most of the time I die because of the broken target lock on. If you get more than x meters away from your enemy it will break lock and if you were backing up you will now be turned around - your back facing the enemy. In the short time it takes to turn back and re acquire lock you can easily be killed by a long range attack. The auto lock on doesn't work either, It's supposed to automatically lock on an enemy if you attack in melee, doesn't work very often. The environment will randomly break lock as well, doorways, pillars, etc, things that block LoS. When you do lose lock, which is very often unless you are up close all the time, you roll around aimlessly not knowing which side is up hoping you get lucky enough to land facing the enemy at an angle that doesn't get you instantly killed. I'm gonna give Nioh a try.
  16. Dark Souls 3 won, I lost. GG. :/
  17. Just before work I got her down to 5% and was wiped. The solution was to strip down to my undies so I could get the long roll.
  18. D4s are worse than legos. Nothing beats the feeling of being painfully ambushed by an inanimate object. Anyway it's not about the practicality of it as much as nerding out on a bunch of weird dice. You could do it all with two D10s surely.
  19. Yeah, about that. IT DOESEN'T WORK. Performing a move in a game should not be a challenge in itself. The challenge should be in the game. Speaking of Bloodbourne, it doesn't have any 'temperamental' moves e.i. the ones that might decide not to work when you do them. Of course I'm on a PC. I can get 4k 60hrz that way. You should try it, it's like heroin, you won't be able to go back to 1080p 30 hrz
  20. +1 Let me know if you find any.
  21. Dark Souls 3. This is my third false start. I start out with a strength build because that's good in the beginning, then I get bored with only doing mele and invest in sorcery and eventually I have gimped myself being unable to do anything well. Currently a sorcerer who is also a pyromancer and uses a claymore. Yeah, it's happening again. Maybe I should just spend souls on increasing my health bar from now on. Certain moves are kinda broken though. Still can't reliably kick. I mean I can get into a grove and do 10 in a row, then I stand somewhere else and get nothing but fast attacks. They should really fix that.
  22. Too late now, but that's pretty clever. Why didn't I think of that. I say laptop, but it's a windows tablet with a touch screen. There is no option to enter the bios during boot. Not that I have been able to discover. Delete, F keys, nothing breaks the boot sequence. It's like the keyboard doesn't initialise before you get to the log on screen. Maybe it's because I have to use a USB C to USB B converter if I want a wired keyboard connection. The tablet only has USB C ports. I never tried connecting a bootable usb stick though, that might still work. Hell, it probably would have.
  23. Is there anything out there like a non google drive version of google drive or similar. I have a laptop, a desktop, and two portable drives. What I would prefer is to have specific folders automatically synchronized every time I connect a portable drive. Automated backups already in windows would let me do that but only with one device. My backups of folders on my laptop can't be used to synchronize with a folder on my desktop. Not automated anyway, they don't want to compete with their own cloud service after all. Second option is a NATS, does anyone have experience with that. The goal is automated backup/synchronization of specific folders, but I don't know that I want to spend a whole bunch of money on it. Just backing up whenever I feel like it is obviously not enough, I lost a bunch of work recently because of a BIOS update that made my PIN number sign in useless, instead reverting to password mode, which I had used once and then forgotten about entirely when I found out I could use four digits instead. Tried a couple of workarounds, none worked, didn't have a microsoft account set up on that computer... Effectively I was locked out of my laptop with no recourse but to reinstall windows and lose all my files. Not a good day. Anyway made me realise that I should probably stop just thinking about it and do something instead.
  24. Doom loses 10 fps near as i can tell. It's not the end of the world I guess.
  25. Well, maybe certain people knew. Like intelligence agencies. You can sell an exploit like that for a lot of money. The moment it's public, it's worthless though. Remember the theories around the last round of wannacry ransomware.
