  1. Imagine if they had gone with space combat and trade routes a la Freespace instead of that crappy firewalker thing. Now that would have been something. They were able to jam that into the unreal engine so it's by no means impossible.
  2. I think a sense of danger would ad to exploring systems, the probing is not something you need to do compulsively I suspect. Who cares about the closing cinematic being a bit different because you didn't lift every rock.
  3. And the Reapers lose because they didn't bring unlimited probes.

Curriculum. No one reads that on their own. Bragging rigths hereby recinded.
  5. The characters were all horrendous. Except the dwarf thief, I liked him but he couldn't carry the whole thing alone.
  6. Their bias is kinda straightforward. You instantly know what you are dealing with, like Fox News. To me that counts in their favor.

You can't pick and chose what goes in your memory anyway. They call all that stuff life. Rejecting language because you are afraid you will run out of disk space is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Of course you can't do everythig and you have to chose what you want to do with your life, but that wasn't the point.
  8. The main reason romance was so borked in ME2 was that you couldn't talk to anyone on missions, you had to wait until normandy where the load times were so horrendous you were discouraged from regularly talking with anyone not already on the command deck. They could have at least put the curvy NPCs there. Well that and the fact that the dialouge was like listening to someone running their finger nails down a blackboard, and that whole light side/ dark side point accretion which you needed for dialouge options.
  9. Maybe that was the idea all along, and of course a chance to scrounge together some money. Running for president can be a very lucrative business unless you are trying to win.
  10. Maybe you read that wrong ? A union for the gamers, we don't care if they lock their coders off in the basement and periodically slip pizza slices under the door as a reward for productivity.
  11. SCAB !. *keys Jan's car*
  12. This kind of thing plays really well with the electorate, portraying Russia with the trappings of a superpower, bullying their neighbours and expecting to get away with it.
  13. You realise that you lot are morally obligated not to buy the DDeluxe version right. *stares intently*
  14. Honestly whats a few months compared to the years it takes to produce these things. In any case they have likely anticipated an internet uproar and calculated that they would still come up ahead by screwing the fans over.
  15. and in a years time they can show investors that M3 sales remained high even after several months.
  16. I don't get exactly what they lose buy getting paid few months later. It's a game. Box office openings are not a concern.
  17. And the difference between DDeluxe and standard is what 25%, if you strongarm people into buying that instead, that's huge.
  18. Actually neither is going to do anything, the only effective message would be not to buy the game. I don't think there are going to be enough first class passengers flying coach on principle to make a difference.
  19. The Protean might be an unsufferable dousche and they are trying to save the majority of their customer base the agony. In any event I'm not getting any DLCs for this, my nuissance tolerance for all this nickle and dime stuff has been exceeded.
  20. They do **** all for me except being a necessary nuissance. Not looking to collect more.
  21. It was just the worst example of bloatware I could come up on the spot. In fact they probably killed their chances because of it.
  22. I'm probably very late in mentioning this, but it would kinda blow if you had to install a seperate ditital distribution system for every developer who wanted to get in on the action. It would be like having 30 reaplayers on your system doing god know waht in the background.
  23. Do you still have to buy everything with bioware monopoly mony ?
  24. They did what they usually do, only a bit better. Bethesda was never able to make me care about the story exept in small patches here and there.
  25. Liked the old one better.
