  1. It had its moments here and there, all the NPCs save one or two were poor caricatures though. It was pretty much what I expected from watching the development phase. Good enough for one playthrough though. That would be one of those elusive redeeming qualities.
  2. I played it and felt it had few redeeming qualities.
  3. I wonder... A site where you can sign up to be alerted if a particular game is on sale on STEAM. Why isn't there something like that.
  4. The director wasn't a fan of the American makeover he was hired to do. The original is in Danish, with Nicolai Coster Valdau and Kim Bodnia. It's many kilopaesecs better. Or is it farther. Unless you are talking about the Russian sci fi thing.
  5. Learning to work together is half the exercise, it's not like anyone other than the professor is going to look at the finished project.
  6. Wrong, yes.. Morally repugnant.. I dunno I would reserve that term for something worse. 'Morally having been out of the fridge for too long and not exactly safe to eat, but not entirely repugnant either' perhaps.
  7. South Park is most fun when it delves into the political or exposes/ridicules something and combines it with the super ego of Randy Marsh or Cartman. A computer game can't be about current affairs, that leaves out a lot of the formula from the get-go.
  8. He should have given the interface the spanking it deserves, I dunno maybe he tired himself out.
  9. Warhammer wouldn't suck if they did it Total War style. Huge armies, tactics and strategy. You get a really crappy mutation of FPS and RTS instead. I do think it would make a bad RPG though. Warhammer is about the armies and the units.
  10. You can bet your ass NSA already knows how to get at that stored data. I don't understand how key-logging helps solve network bottlenecks. I know for a fact that it can be used to rob you though.
  11. You can now enjoy the imposible inventory with voice activation for every mouse click and navigation. Crouch to crouch in the game world. It wil be hell on your knees, but imagine the immersion.... Awesome !
  12. A lot of you seem to be missing the point. You can't make a game out of Georgio Armani or House MD. Although they are undoubtedly very well known, they just don't translate to a game.
  13. People still want to see movies in a theater, it's just that prices at the cinema have skyrocketed the last few years. They really are shooting themselves in the foot by pushing all of their overhead from expensive 3d hardware onto an ever smaller consumer base. It's going to be available to home viewers soon enough anyway. They will need to cut prices drastically soon or go out of business.
  14. Get the BBC series with Jeremy Brett. What's the point of Sherlock Holmes if you can't have top hats, canes, cloaks and carriages.
  15. How can a common first name be censored, that doesn't make any sense.
  16. Although I have to admit I don't know **** about the family game genre. I don't think South Park qualifies, it's too 'controversial' or whatever.
  17. Small in computer game terms is what is meant I take it.
  18. Yes, but that doesn't mean anyone would want South Park the game. I'm sure there is a Simpsons game out there somewhere, has anyone ever played that ?
  19. It might be the ****ty keymapping I suppose, but I can't reset to default, that function is likely in conflict. Either way, nothing happens when I try.
  20. Alt Gr toggle is not avalable in the console. Can't do [] regardless of what keyboard layout I use. From what I could gather from Wikipedia it should be, it's just not. Whaterver windows is doing to produce the keys corresponding to an American setup, it's not happening inside the console.
  21. How the hell do you make a game out of it though. It sounds as doomed to fail as Driving Miss Daisy for Wii
  22. It's a bit of a shame that they don't have a contract for a big IP though. Of course more of these less intensive projects spreads the risk out a bit. It's just hard to get excited about small time stuff like this. South Park is still hilarious, with the odd dry patch of course. Compare with Simpsons which hasn't been funny for 4 or 5 years.
