The fact that people have to respec their characters for more dialouge options seems horribly ass backwards and revealing of a major design flaw in the reputation system.
-
I wouldn't say light side/ dark side thing. It was more if you consistently played Shep one way rather then bounce between the two approaches.. Seriously, it wasn't that hard to have everyone survive. You did the loyalty missions, you picked up the ship upgrades. And you made a couple of common sense choices in regards to a> who can hack/deal with tech - ie: Tali, Legion or Kasumi, b> which characters have experience in leading teams (Garrus or Miranda pretty much, possibly Jacob), and c>who actually has serious biotic powers (either Samara or Jack).. I have no problem with a reputation system working in this manner, reflected in NPC dialouge responses. But, not having enough points should not prevent you from taking specific actions, and those unavailable options shouldn't be dangled right in front of you for no other reason than to piss you off either.
-
Yes, you could. You just needed a truck load of renegade points to pull it off. I forget about the whole retarded light side/dark side point thing that forces you to chose whatever option is red or blue instead of what makes sense. If you want these special options that is. Legion died at the second checkpoint. After the swarms and biotich barrier thing. Hadn't picked him for anything at all.

You couldn't actually chose Samara's daugther over Samara in Me2. I tired, Samara won anyway and didn't seem bothered by the experience.

Just started a second playthrough. Really annoyed that I couldn't get the resolution I wanted for the Quarian missions because Legion had died in my imported game. That only happened because I had done too good a job and no one had died on the suicide mission up to that point, so the game just chose one at random for effect. I had all the loyalty missions etc.

You don't need good harware to be a hacker. Any old laptop will do. What we know about them is that they are tech savy. Not how much they make a year. I don't pretend its statistically significant, but more than a few of the more famous ones are/were self taught

So, anarchists with oversight and accountabiliy. That would be a first. I'll admit I still possess a weak spot for activists which isn't necessarily a reflection of what good they do, if any. It's still the little man sticking it to the system.

it's not THAT bad. And theres lots of naked chicks.

Sortof.

That's all well and good, but we switch perspective in the final cutscene. That wasn't intended to be doubious.
-
How do you know. You still have a 0.5 multiplier.
-
It's like Alien Ressurection.
-
The readyness level is the multiplier. if its stuck at 50% for those who don't do multiplayer or any alternate platform thingie you lose half your military strengh, and so on.
-
That's unsurprising. The US probably sees a lot of alternative use for an ex cold war strategic alliance against the Russians. The member states, not so much. The UN can't take up the cause of spreading democracy across he globe either, not all its member states are democracies. Besides, if it was as easy as defeating the Taliban and having someone else sort out the rest we would have been done a long time ago.

That's true enough, but what we are propping up is corrupt as hell. Lesser of two evils.

He went bat****, happens in combat. Not sure there is anything to learn from it.

These people are idealists. They believe they are fighting the good fight, same as wikileaks. That doesn't fit particularly well with trying to sell a load of credit card information for instance.
-
Not just the consequences, they went through all the trouble of placing an type character at the very end of the game, you kinda expect to be able to engage in a philosophical discussion at least rivaling . This was pretty banale. A quick once over of what has been done much better several times already.

The file format is heavily protected. Wouldn't want people to create content that would compete with their plan to suck as much profit out of their creation as humanly possible.

Game of the decade, really ? The gun action was excellent, especially if not ruined by singularities. The plot started out good, got better, and then kinda petered off into medium towards the end. I was still positively surprised. It's a good game, overall maybe an outside chance of being in the top ten.
-
Hold on, wasn't he an FBI informant while all this was going on ?. There was an ongoing investigation and several high profile attacks were ostenisbily allowed in order to follow communucations between the group and wikileaks, and to see if they tried blackmailing anyone etc.

Question : can you still gather war assets after you have been detected. I have tried speeding back in and pinging for a second or two but I never seem to get a hit out of it.
-
Kinda disappointing yes. So much you counldn't do in the ending, either because you didn't play the previous games, didn't do multiplayer, didn't do all the fed ex quests, didn't have the right paragon/renegade scores... So you wind up with the bare minimum and a binary choice. All the while thinking really, is this the angle. It has been a theme sure, but not a hugely comprehensive one. No satisfactory explanation is given as to why Shepard

I find sleep quality varies a great deal. I can be completelty rested with 4 hrs or tired with 8.

Sabotage and Hack were largely useless. Only usable when shield and armor has been stripped, by which point why not just kill it off instead of having to worry about it again when the duration runs out. Overload hits instantaneously, stuns and removes barriers. Very useful even against organics.
