  1. Maybe that was the idea all along, and of course a chance to scrounge together some money. Running for president can be a very lucrative business unless you are trying to win.
  2. Maybe you read that wrong ? A union for the gamers, we don't care if they lock their coders off in the basement and periodically slip pizza slices under the door as a reward for productivity.
  3. This kind of thing plays really well with the electorate, portraying Russia with the trappings of a superpower, bullying their neighbours and expecting to get away with it.
  4. You realise that you lot are morally obligated not to buy the DDeluxe version right. *stares intently*
  5. Honestly whats a few months compared to the years it takes to produce these things. In any case they have likely anticipated an internet uproar and calculated that they would still come up ahead by screwing the fans over.
  6. and in a years time they can show investors that M3 sales remained high even after several months.
  7. I don't get exactly what they lose buy getting paid few months later. It's a game. Box office openings are not a concern.
  8. And the difference between DDeluxe and standard is what 25%, if you strongarm people into buying that instead, that's huge.
  9. Actually neither is going to do anything, the only effective message would be not to buy the game. I don't think there are going to be enough first class passengers flying coach on principle to make a difference.
  10. The Protean might be an unsufferable dousche and they are trying to save the majority of their customer base the agony. In any event I'm not getting any DLCs for this, my nuissance tolerance for all this nickle and dime stuff has been exceeded.
  11. They do **** all for me except being a necessary nuissance. Not looking to collect more.
  12. It was just the worst example of bloatware I could come up on the spot. In fact they probably killed their chances because of it.
  13. I'm probably very late in mentioning this, but it would kinda blow if you had to install a seperate ditital distribution system for every developer who wanted to get in on the action. It would be like having 30 reaplayers on your system doing god know waht in the background.
  14. Do you still have to buy everything with bioware monopoly mony ?
  15. They did what they usually do, only a bit better. Bethesda was never able to make me care about the story exept in small patches here and there.
  16. AFAIR it's a known bug. A fix is unlikely.
  17. So... how does one properly dispose of a Quran. Maybe they can be used as insulation material.
  18. Well, yes, the US is largely done with its colonial era in the pacific, if you ask around Bikini, the Philipines and Puerto Rico they don't recall it too fondly though.
  19. So the fact that the islands were originally uninhabited.. that 70% of the population are descended from English, Scots, Welsh... and that nearly 90% of the entire population (including the non-UK descended residents) want to stay as British citizens and do not want to even discuss the idea of Argentina taking sovereignity of the islands have nothing to do with the situation? That's not imperialism, or colonialism. If the people there follow a specific culture, and believe they're a part of it, and they act that way.. and say "hey, this is my flag of choice".. then yeah, I'd say they're fairly joined in spirit. And hey, in two millenia we were invaded by the Romans, the Saxons, the Vikings, the Normans... you can't exactly say we didn't suffer incursions. We're just good at absorbing them into the culture.. That's kindof where I was going with 'nevermind the Normans'
  20. I'm sure they know saber rattling is consequence free aside from diplomatically.
  21. So countries are like witches. They can't cross water? What's going on here. Are you embarassed to admit that your country's past imperial success was largely due to the fact that it was isolated and well protected from incursions from Europe, leaving aside the Normans, or perhaps some antiquated notion of the Commonwealth, you can belong anywhere geographically and still be joined in spirit, that sort of thing.
  22. I actually like the process, so you could say I'm doing it for its own sake. Plus it's good for you. As mental calisthenics there is edivdence that it can delay dementia and early onset alzheimer's.
