  1. You can still see plenty of these dumb looking mugs in wrestling, boxing and nightclub bouncers. Life always finds a way to find its niche, or perhaps it's just a result of being beaten so often that face turns into a cube shaped mug, lol. In any case, not all fantasy characters are warriors by occupation, but by circumstances, coming from different layers and lineages of society, which does make an impact of appearance. And I think it's incorrect to apply any real life examples to a fantasy character in general.
  2. Yes, yes and yes. For more info look here: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/94345-portraits-folder-for-custom-player-portraits/?p=1950542 Thanks! What are the '_si' images for? For scripted interactions. It looks like this:
  3. Yes, yes and yes. For more info look here: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/94345-portraits-folder-for-custom-player-portraits/?p=1950542
  4. Geralt: Inspired by this: https://twitter.com/jesawyer/status/984911441751752709
  5. Commander Shepard : I think this one's a renegade
  6. Dark Souls disagrees with you:
  7. Just the wood elves. Pale elves can and will have beards, because lore says so.
  8. Backstabbing with two-handed weapons is what's broken, the rest is a cherry on top. And it just ruins the image of a rogue dual wielding small fast weapons - there is no point in that since the game only gives a **** about a single hit and two-handers can dish the highest damage out of that.
  9. That's gonna look too dark. What would you do to make it lighter? Your technique seems to result in portraits that match the existing ones closely. Here is a 34 points brighter version of this img. You gotta work with layers, otherwise your whole picture, including background, is modified. Now your background is too bright and won't match official portraits. And the head is still too dark. If you don't have the beta to check against, you can still look over here, for example: https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Category:Pillars_of_Eternity_2_images_-_Portraits There are some official watercolor portraits. Aloth's and Vector's mugs are good enough examples.
  10. That's gonna look too dark. What would you do to make it lighter? Your technique seems to result in portraits that match the existing ones closely. Because I check portraits I edit against existing ones in game files. I made a post about how I do it in the previous thread: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/91743-portraits/?p=1956411 Explaining it further, if a portrait doesn't match I play with head layer's brightness/saturation/contrast. And if that isn't enough I merge all layers including the background so that nothing interferes, get a skin color sample out of some official watercolor portrait and then use good old brush tool + hue/color/normal with varying intensity percentages and paint the skin to have a better matching color. This color sampling technique also works to paint better looking colors on other parts of the portrait.
  11. That's a weird looking portrait. Like a slimey/glossy..doll thing. Could be some godlike material if modified. Anyways:
  12. Xoti and Ydwin probably got changed because of prettied up 4chan versions of portraits debate and man-chin hate in portraits thread. New portraits, especially Ydwin, look much better now, so it's all good whatever the reason.
  13. That's rather unlikely because godlikes look too similar to gods traits manifested in the flesh, i.e. their avatars.
  14. Well, in latest AMA devs announced that they gonna post all Critical Role custom portraits, one per day, starting from 19-th of April. That's like 7 or so portraits and most likely codes will be on them. Combine that with their usual highlight tweets about monsters and companions and who knows what other PR stunts they gonna come up with to increase hype train speed and I'm sure we'll see the rest of the codes in time.
  15. They'r not crown horns, they're icicles, lol.
  16. It's still three weeks until release - there's plenty of time to post the rest of the codes. I think some people here are searching for codes too vigorously.
  17. There are lots of things that aren't in the beta. But it's an official portrait, so I think it will make a return. Come back to me with this if it won't appear in release version.
  18. I think Woedica's godlike should all look like a Koschei the Deathless - like a crowned, burnt lich or something: Wael is obviously this or that:
  19. Lol, that's quite accurate. Combine that with the Eyeless who're supposed to look similar to him: and you'll get...a Pyramid head:
  20. I don't get why people are upset about full dialogues VO either. If you don't like hearing characters speak - just mute them in the options. Personally, I find VO, if voiced well, to be great at adding flavor to characters and immensely improve immersion. Sure, it's not the most important feature in the game and I haven't even seen many people asking for it, but devs decided they had enough money to add it. To me it seems like they're already pretty confident in the game to toss their money for that extra cherry on top instead of spending it on something else.
