Oh it sure does. Opening both windows creates an airflow, and air in motion will carry away the heat, which works like a fan. And if you're smelling exhaust fumes when you open the windows either the underfloor or the firewall behind the engine is defect. (Lets rule out exhaust or exhaust manifold damage because that would create a lot more severe problems than just smell) When you open the windows and the air in the passenger compartment starts to move pressure drops, and if said parts are defect exhaust fumes from the engine compartment will be pushed through holes into the vehicles passenger compartment. In a moving vehicle you should never smell car exhaust when opening any windows.

Don't get your hopes up, I don't know anybody who would be interested in the purchase of an AC, aside from places that are near or on the equator thats kind of an American thing. A friend of mine traveled to the US and was quite puzzled by the sheer amount of AC's everywhere. Once the temperatures rose above ~ 83-85 / 30 they turned his hotel room, shopping malls, shops and other public buildings into goddamn freezers. Heck, having summer temperatures in the mid to high 30 Celsius a couple of weeks is a common thing around here, and nobody gives a damn. I can't even remember the last time I turned on the AC in a car. Open the window and its all good.

Any festivity that involves freedom and fireworks is a good festivity in my book. So happy independence day!

Apparently there are things that Russians can do well

Hey hey, pick a number, get in line and wait for your turn, there are about 100 million other people who want to voice their opinion why their country is best and everyone else is brainwashed. You deserve points for being original. -
Sadly, in peoples minds that would definitely decrease the likelihood of the intercourse having been fully consensual.

Sounds like a pretty normal sentence for that crime......if it had happened in the 15th century in central Europe. This is just madness, two people being happily together results in one of them being robbed of her freedom for the next 8030 days. This world sucks.

The last couple of days temperatures have been in the high 30 Celsius too (95F), but that has not made me quit lifting every day, and I have no AC. I've simply shifted my exercises times into to night, at 11'o clock temperatures have dropped down to high 20's and thats absolute endurable. I also open certain windows to create an airflow I can stand in and cool off during my exercise breaks. No performance drops whatsoever, on the contrary, currently I'm lifting heavier than ever. The heat does not bother me in the slightest during day time as long as I'm not working out hard, sleep sucks though. Room temperature above 20 Celsius makes me sleep uneasy and wake up in a puddle of sweat.

Anders Breivik sues Norway for breaking Human Rights
Woldan replied to Darkpriest's topic in Way Off-Topic
But as an advocate of human rights even for those who kick said rights with their feet you're not allowed to ignore him. Its his right to be heard out in this matter since the maximum amount of time a prisoner spends in isolation is indeed regulated by law. So you have to listen to this child murderer and deal with his valid concerns. -

Human rights should only be fully granted to those who respect them. This excludes insane supremacist mass murderers. -
Hm maybe not, I'd sure as hell get a stiff......back from that exercise.

Anyone need a motivational for squats and lunges?

Trying out my new lens. Its captures so much light a shutter speed of 17 seconds is enough to completely over-exposure the picture in the darkest night, with a mere 1000 ISO. With 10 seconds of shutter speed you'd think its just a normal pic taken on a sunny day...until you notice the stars in the sky. I'm in love.

Today I bought some mountain hiking gear. I'm very happy with my bargain hiking shoes, instead of 160 bucks I got them for whooping 60 because the shop is going out of business and throws their stuff at customers - for insanely low prices. Ok, maybe I'm not that happy since the shop was pretty damn good, its a pity they're closing.

A couple of places above 12k ft / 3600m sea level. The time I've been waiting for all year long has just started - mountain climbing season!

With the horrible and damaging lifting techniques and odd disciplines used in Crossfit I refuse to recognize it as a valid form of sport. And it does not have enough endurance in it anyway, thats more like circuit training and thats not what I mean. I was more thinking along the lines of -as example- log lifts and atlas stone lift sessions followed by 60km bike sprints, followed by dead lifts and bench presses with running 20km as finisher. Most of the lifts are not against the clock but instead the total amount of weight lifted counts. Endurance disciplines are of course against the clock. I'd give the athletes a mandatory rest phase between the strength and endurance disciplines. Just thinking out loud.... So basically a sport that matches the way you train, right? Problem is, there is always going to be a disagreement wrt what is considered "balanced". You said it yourself, Crossfit "does not have enough endurance", because it doesn't meet some arbitrary criteria. And it will be difficult to get many people to follow it because it's always more interesting to see feats of extreme strength or endurance than the performance of an athletic jack-of-all-trades. I wouldn't say my suggestion of disciplines is arbitrary, on the contrary, I suggested the most popular disciplines from strongman competitions - which is all about finding the worlds strongest athlete - and iron man disciplines which is the most popular sport in finding the athlete with the most endurance. In the end, I'd simply combine the most common disciplines into one contest. And those disciplines are undoubtedly the dead lift, overhead press / log lift, bench press, squat, running and cycling. Plus maybe swimming.

Resident Evil Apocalypse. Been a long time since I laughed so hard watching a film. Gil Valentine (Sienna Guillory) was goddamn hot though.

Today I watched an iron man contest. While the athletic feats where absolutely amazing I wondered why there isn't a popular competitive sport - for both sexes- that combines strength and endurance to find the ultimate athlete. Its always either endurance or strength, or in other words hyperspecialization. I'm sick of watching tiny people running a million kilometers that could not pick up a 50kg barbell without braking their twig-like arms or huge weightlifters that can log-lift 230kg but could not run 2 kilometers without collapsing. Why isn't there a popular balanced sport that combines it all?

Russians are not glorious. Somebody who has to prove how awesome he his 24/7 is not awesome. Thats like the king who has to constantly remind everyone of the fact that he is the king. If Russians were glorious we would know it and Oby wouldn't have to prove it. -
I'm sorry for your father - my family has the same mindset, living totally unhealthily but at the same time being completely aware of it. I'll never understand those people.... Aus dem tiefsten, dunkelsten Eck vom Mühlviertel. Du?

Hey, I just realized I'm talking to a fellow countryman! Servus!

I really like what I've seen so far, but one thing I did not like was the convoy chase part, they were driving in circles. I hope thats just because thats a limitation of the demo and the maps in the final game will be large enough to support long point to point chases. I hate the idea of driving on invisible circuits.
