Just returned from the rock festival. Man that was hardcore, 150.000 people, three stages as tall as an 8 story building, tents as far as the eye could see, moshpit was a deathtrap when Rammstein played, I can't describe the smell you get when tens of thousands of people don't use the toilets (at 32 Celsius weather!) because they were all overflowing with poo and piss and there was so much trash laying around that I had to wear may army boots. I also only slept about 5 hours in three days, my neck hurts from the headbanging, couldn't shower even once, only ate overpriced burritos....awesome. Though the best thing was seeing an entire Rammstein live concert from the fourth row; only 10 meters away from the stage, and for a couple of minutes on someones shoulders. I also didn't expect Kiss to be THAT great, they're killer live. Old guys you say? They rocked WAY harder than most guys half their age on the stage!- Armour & weapon designs - a plea (part III).

- Dragon Age III / The Witcher 3 trailers. Impressions?
Unimpressed by both trailers. Besides showing only bloody cinematics DA3 Inqusition also seems to have waaay too much DA2 in it for me to like it. I also find that the Bioware designers can't really handle the new engine, the faces of Morrigan and Cassandra look really ugly, squishy, and the facial features are out proportion. (Whats up with Cassandras potato-face?) The lighting also looked horrible and there is still nothing that makes me care about the mage-templar war. The Witcher looked like Skyrim with better graphics, I got the impression that there will be a lot of open world and actiony gameplay with very little story. In both trailers I didn't even once have the ''whoah, I can't wait to play this!'' feeling. Yeah, they were just trailers, but you know what they say about first impressions.- What you did today
Won a super hot chili pepper (self grown) eating duel with a friend. Rules: no pain relieving aids like soda or bread, chili must be chewed for 10 seconds before swallowing, the duelists have to remain in their chairs during the whole duel. At one point the pain was totally unbearable but I have prevailed and been victorious. I'm still having severe heartburn but it was totally worth it. Thats really ni.........wait. A sunny day in England? Have you been smoking the good stuff again?- What you did today
Climbed around in the trees like a deranged monkey removing dead branches with a small saw, now I'm all scratched up, sweaty, dirty and exhausted. However, this does not stop me from going to a party and getting drunk. No sir!- What you did today
Same thing happened to me a few years ago, broke my middle finger joint in a failed attempt to catch the ball. A pretty common injury amongst basketball players.- Lights in the sky
I just watched one with friend for ten minutes, it was bright like the Venus and jumped, turned, made quick zig-zag maneuvers and changed directions until it vanished in the horizon. NO way thats a comet bouncing off earths atmosphere. Will-o'-the-wisps in the sky?- The funny things thread

- Lights in the sky
Doubt it that its a bird or a drone, whatever it is its clearly illuminated or its flying that high that it reflects the light of the sun. Birds or aircraft also could never fly maneuvers like that, the only animal that could do that would be a dragonfly. I once managed to take a look at one of those lights with my binoculars, the light barely got bigger with the power cranked up all the way to 16x, all I saw was a white globe, and this means the object was either VERY small or traveling at extremely high altitude. Also the object was flickering like the surrounding stars, the flickering is caused by different pressure layers of air moving so this too indicates that it was high up there. True, when it stops the light could be traveling upwards and so it appears to me that it is not traveling at all but I saw some of those lights stay for a couple of minutes without getting dimmer or changing their illumination in any way which supports my assumption that they weren't moving.- Lights in the sky
First of all, I'm not an UFO fanatic, I'm not an alcoholic and I'm not aware of any brain or eye injuries that might make me see things that don't exist. Ok? Good. So, I've regularly been seeing strange lights in the night sky, with regularly I mean when the weather was good 3-4 each night almost every night in the past 4 years (Since I moved from the city to a rural area where stars are very visible thanks to almost zero light pollution) My neighbors and friends have seem them too. Lights? Like planes and stuff? Nope. Lights that look exactly like those less visible stars in the night sky, with the only exception that they move. Oh yeah, thats comet, the ISS, a satellite or a piece of space junk entering earths atmosphere you doofus. Well, last time I checked space junk, satellites and rocks couldn't stay stationary for a few minutes and then accelerate to blistering speeds pretty much instantly. Or fly turns or zig-zag maneuvers. That also rules out high altitude military aircraft, those g-forces would rip apart the plane and its crew if it were able to fly that kind of maneuvers. I#m talking about near-instant stops and acceleration. Since I believe what I'm seeing is a simple natural phenomena I'd like to hear your ideas about what you think what I'm seeing. I was thinking about car headlights reflecting on clouds or fog, but they're way too small for headlights and whenever I saw those lights the sky was crystal-clear, this also rules out laser shows. Someone said I might be seeing fireflies or fluorescent bugs, but I've seen those lights in winter too.- Community Photo Sharing Thread

Me being a bloody poser.- What you did today
Yeah it's crazy, I chipped one of my teeth a few years back, half of it broke off and just to build it in plastic was like 220€. It took 2 people about 15 minutes.. That's a pretty good hour salary. 220 bucks for a plastic replacement that sits on top of the still intact lower half of the tooth is a good deal, but it gets really expensive once you need to replace the whole tooth, drilling the bone, titanium inserts and that kind of stuff, plastic or not.- What you did today
I'm guessing it's in the back? Because otherwise they usually create a plastic replacement. Yes, the last back tooth, just before the wisdom tooth. I could get a ceramic-composite copy of my old tooth but its very expensive, like half-of-my-monthly-salary-expensive. - The funny things thread
