No, you're not. Now as a darksider you can make the Twilek on Telos station dance for you and go back there during the course of your game to regularly collect your money from her. That is a pimp.. you're just a don juan of sorts.

If you fixed the landspeeder then you've triggered that bug. With that bug you can't advance the story because the Red Eclipse crew won't show up if you've already fixed the speeder

TO THE DEVS : Blunderous Game Mechanic Bug!
ryan12177 replied to jaguars4ever's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Obsidian made the game, so of course they have some responsibility as well. Sure they should have been given more time from Lucas, but at the same time you have to acknowledge that they screwed up in so many places on a supposed beta-tested product. Lucas is money hungry, we all know and accept this.. but that doesn't mean that Obsidian obviously weren't skilled enough to pull off a game worthy of being a sequel to KOTOR. I love StarWars, I love the world of the KOTOR games, but I don't love the fact that characters repeat the same dialogue all damn game, or the non-working force powers or the Nar Shadda glitch, or any of the retarded glitches most of us who have played more than twice have experienced. Obsidian needs to take soem sor tof responsibility for their mistakes and I for one can tell you that I won't buy 3 unless Bioware does it. -
THIS is the problem.... It took me a while to figure it out... On Nar Shadda you CAN NOT fix the landspeeder before the crew of the red whatever slave traders come to fight you and your crew. If you do, then the plot won't advance on Nar Shadda

What would be the purpose of him telling you where he found them? Thwe game generates items randomly (I just got Ulic Qel Droma's belt for the first time) and its a roll of the dice. I seem to get a different batch of things every time through. One game it'll be good implants, the next it'll be good robes or belts. I'm on the fence on whether or not I like the fact that its all random myself,.

Possible cause for game-stopping Nar Shadaa bug
ryan12177 replied to Mongoose's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yeah, the memory wipe worked like a charm. The funny thing is that now I've seen bugs in it that weren't there before the wipe... nothing major, just small things like Disciple not gaining experience while the other 9 guys in the party did. -
I just wanted to let the guys who had the problem of Nar Shadda not advancing know that I workd out a fix for myself. Basically you just have to go into the X-box's memory and erase the sith lord files so that you're running as if its the first run and your x-box isn't trying to run off of what it remembers.

Really Pissed OFF Stupid Black Screen Glitch :(
ryan12177 replied to OmegaCode's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
exactly, this **** happens to guys like me who play off the disk as well. -
After my two Nar Shadda mishaps I finally get a black screen when entering the Ebon Hawk to leave Telos. If this game was a car it'd be re-called by now? I'm wondering what do you think the chances of LA doing something to compensate the thousands with screwed up games is?

Possible cause for game-stopping Nar Shadaa bug
ryan12177 replied to Mongoose's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
That isn't true. After I got the bug on my 3rd play through I went in a different order for my fourth play through and it still happened. I erased all the sith lords files from my memory and re-trying the game to see if that clears it up. I'll respond if it does -
This is the same problem a few of us have had on our THIRD play through. I figured it was a one tiem thing but it then happened on my FOURTH play through. Its not you, its the game. Right now I'm trying out my solution and I should be able to tell guys by tomorrow if it works. Basically I went into the X-box's memory and had to erase all the sith lord files and I think that'll fix the problem. I started a new game and I'll hit Nar Shadda by tomorrow and I'll let you know if it works.
-
They're probably too ashamed to admit that they've screwed up completely. If they do the third installment of this game, if it has one after this fiasco, I'm not buying. Bioware or Bust!!!
-
Amazingly enough its happened to me on my third and fourth games now, so re-starting isn't the answer. So basically I have a useless game unless my idea on how to fix it works. I basically went into the x-box's memory and deleted all the saved stuff from Sith Lords. The games reacting as if its my first time playing by giving me advice, etc and I'll let you know if this fixes the bug. I'll post again when I get to Nar Shadda
-
Okay, on my last play through (my 3rd) I had a problem whereas after I did everything on Nar Shadda I never had the slavers show up to fight over the landing space and never got the message to come to the alien bar. I figured maybe I did soemthing wrong so I went through and did every planet, except the last part of Onderon because you can't get to it without resolving Nar Shadda as far as I know. I eventually gave up and started a 4th game. I went to Nar Shadda first and again, the above didn't take place. I figured maybe I have to have other planets done before resolving Nar Shadda so I've beaten Dantooine. My question is whether you can't resolve all of Nar Shadda before doing a few other planets or whether my game has basically had the same bug happen twice in a row. These are the events that have or not happened in both games. 1. The criminals weren't where they were supposed to be so you could kill them 2. After beating Dantooine you still don't clear the redemption mission from the journal. 3. Mira isn't hanging out at the dock like she was my first play through as a lightsider.
-
It happened to me and you just have to start over. I literally did EVERYTHING on Nar Shadda and th eother planets(though I couldn't finish Oderon without knocking off Shadda) and its just a run of the mill game bug. It made me so mad that I probably won't start a new game for a while.
-
Sadly that happened to me on my last play through and I had no choice but to start over. I also got the annoying thing where the criminals no-sho won Telos on 2 different play throughs. This game is a rush job, we all knew that when we bought it. and Darth Rellim you could have still gone on by blowing up the other droid in the bay. He'll blow up two containers but you can get in.

my rant against kotr2 *spoilers*
ryan12177 replied to mithrandir's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The sad thing is that the more play throughs I do, the less I like it each time. You just sdon't have the pay-off that KOTOR did because in the original you had to fight tooth and nail through the starforge and then face a tough guy in Malak. In this one you cut down everyone, including Sion and Nihilis with ease and then you kick the hell out of Krea who can only offer flying lightsabers that never touch you if you do it right. Where is the pay-off? -
Youg et it when you hit a certain level in your prestige class, it doesn't matter where you are.
-
It happened with me a lot, and it'll do that and then a little later he'll be back to having the Darth Maul tattoos over his face.

Buzz is correct

I literally found 6 Qel Droma mesh suits last game(He changed clothes a lot , I guess, and it annoyed me that like Exar Kun's outfit that you can't use force powers with it. Would Sith Lords wear outfits they couldn't use the force in?
-
Trust me, they're not in the game. Lets not forget that the X-box version of KOTOR also had a lot of cool items left out that were in the PC version.
-
How retarded is it that you get multiple items that are supposed to be unique. I finished my last game with about 5 Ulic Qel Droma's armors and a few other items like a few circlets.
-
lol, well what were their reasons? I'm not curious enough to re-play again right now ( the ending blew my high)

How do those who have the game already find it?
ryan12177 replied to Mr. Brightside's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The fact that the same dialogue popped up the entire game hurt it more than anything else.. It doesn't have the feel of ESB as much as it has the feel of the Matrix sequels. A lot of questions asked and then at the end none of them answered.
