  1. People really flipped out over a campaign to get a woman on bank note ? Weird. I was thinking of how this could relate to the COD guy and the threats of rape, murder ect he received to him and his family for the nerf to the sniper rifle.
  2. In related news: http://thinkprogress.org/health/2013/07/29/2372851/twitter-rape-threats-policy/ Twitter is going to streamline reporting abusive tweets.
  3. Ahhhh. The legitimate porn industry. An easy target that doesn't really effect squat (and more regulation actually probably makes things more dangerous for those involved when it ends up pushing more things underground.)
  4. The thing about Fez 2 is, they could just throw it up on PSN, GOG and Steam, do no real pub or advertising for it, and it would probably still sell like hotcakes assuming it is anywhere near as good as the first one. EDIT: Also, I can't stop laughing when I see that gif.
  5. More than anything, I'm curious what "publication" named Imperium Galactic War Game of the Year 2013. Imperium Galactic Online Magazine? The Hoboken Auto Trader? Chang's Chinese Takeout Menu? I thought given it's title, it could have been Plagiarists Monthly, but there is no original, unique content in there at all. ------------- I also love how "they" know there wont be a better game out this year. Let's just award it right now!
  6. Since there was also a DRM-free version released, this game would not be a good test of that theory. Even if they ended up not giving them out, it's probably a safe bet that it would be there by now. At least the editor is CEG-free.
  7. The answer to my question is: Yes, they've added that CEG crap to the game. Meanwhile it's probably safe to say it's been added to Pirate Bay or something? You know, because DRM really does work.
  8. Wahoo! Found a bunch more save games under a different directory. Penny Arcade 4 was in there. Still, it's annoying having to re-download the games though.
  9. And I think most of the mods are on a variety of back up discs. Still, even where I'm at right now, there's a monthly download limit. Not as crazy stupid low and expensive as it would be at my house, but after going over it once, I'm always conscience of it.
  10. Yeah, but most programs ask if you want to keep things like that. You can't just blink and get them back, you've got to re-download, or re-install them from the disc. They should know to keep them there if you ever decide to re-install it. Actually, I'm too dumbfounded to be mad. My mind is blown by the stupidity of it. EDIT: It's taking forever to figure out if I have the disk space requirements. If I didn't before, I do now. Perhaps the installer is also dumbfounded by how stupid the un-installer was.
  11. This time I guess I'll try installing them in a folder outside of Program files/Steam. See if it tracks them down, and kills them if I uninstall then.
  12. Did you know that if you uninstall Steam, it will also uninstall all of your games, mods, backups and saves that aren't in your "My Documents" folder? And it doesn't even warn you, or ask you if you want to keep them? It just deletes them... all. All because I wanted to see if uninstalling and re-installing Steam would give me more than 2 weeks of Offline time. All of my Fallout NV and 3 stuff... gone. I was almost finished Rain Slick 4. Not no more. I haven't hooked my computer up to the net since downloading that one. No chance of a cloud save there. How the hell don't they ask if you want to keep your apps? Valve was kinda close to Microsoft to me in the stupid category. Now they're getting it on in a dirty alley on the wrong side of the tracks.
  13. It looks like they got rid of the episodic design of the game. What I think they should do is bring out a workable demo and show that they can again make a good, fun game. Then more people might get on board. We'll see how this ones goes.
  14. Snag the DRM-free version from their site. I can't. I was only a pre-orderer instead of a backer. I don't (legally?) have access to it, even though I pre-ordered right away when I seen 'DRM-free'. EDIT X2: Actually, in my opinion, I should be able to legally access a DRM-free copy. If the stupid game is CEG-free, it would be placate me. Atleast I would be able to access it whenever I wanted. I don't give a rats behind about the stupid "features" Steam adds to games. Even if I did, it doesn't have achievements anyways.
  15. Wow, DRM and Steam sucks. I can't get an answer on if they added CEG on the Shadowrun or the Steam forums. Say what you will about Origin and Uplay, this wouldn't be an issue on those services because they at least let me play my games whenever I want. I really hate lugging my desktop computer into town. I probably should have just asked for a refund, but man; it's Shadowrun.
  16. So, does it have CEG attached to it?
  17. I think some forums should have a "Silly Jibberish" button. For known trolls, and waaaaay too over the top people, there will be an option for a mod to click to change some key words that will be replaced by random silly words. "hate" "hope" "you" "suck" "die"... will be replaced by "whoopie cushion" "boogers" "horses" "pineapple" "goat cheese". Naturally, anything that is mispellen or are not real w0rd$ to try to circumvent the silly jibberish will be replaced as well. Put it on a timer for those that have otherwise okay reputations. Constant trolls can need to have the box unchecked manually. Chances are, they'll get so fustrated, they'll leave for a bit. EDIT: That could probably work for online games as well when it comes to typing.
  18. Then it gets to the point where pretty much the only way to be successful is to take PED's, and it creates a culture of it (EDIT: moreso than there is now.) I like the idea of seperate steroid leagues/olympics instead.
  19. Otherwise known as: "Inception: The Web Browser Game"
  20. That was the first thing I thought of when I seen the title of this thread.
  21. Some things are very well prepared, like the daily videos they have planned. Some people seem to be thrown off by the action parts, but if they're done right and are fun (and don't hurt the adventure/police procedure part,) I'd have no problem with it. You were shooting people, and hitting them with nightstick in the most action-packed way that was feasable with the ATI and SCI engine for the circumstances. Man, I hope this makes it. PQ was the second of the series I repurchased off of GOG, because I could never get PQ3 to drive properly. Remember CPU Killer? Yeah, it stil sucked for that one. You had to have what; nothing more powerful than a 486 with 8MB of RAM or your car went light speed? EDIT: Brain fart tangent there. It would have helped if there was some buildup. I'm anticipating Zeboyd's Kickstarter in September or so. I happened to bump into this one on Twitter shortly after it started.
  22. They already had my $30. Hopefully they can get it to pick up steam. They're only 9% of the way there.
  23. I appear to be home free. You naughty boy Baba, you should be using IE and you wouldn't be having these issues I know. Secure and IE go hand in hand, or something like that. They probably would have let me finish my tweet! #startprocessalloveragain
  24. Modding is now good to go on Defender's Quest, so I'll be busy with that when the kids are in bed.
  25. I guess I really do have the mentality of a kid. I would like to apologize to all of those bigots I've offended over the years. You may have misspelled over half your words, but I get what you're saying now. Well, trying to say.
